You can reach them at (423) 462-4136 or via mobile at +1 423-462-4136 for inquiries and reservations. Based on the available customer reviews, Anchors Away RV Park appears to be appreciated for its friendly atmosphere and convenient location, particularly for exploring the surrounding area.
The environment of Anchors Away RV Park is notable for its proximity to water. One reviewer mentioned loving the fact that the park was close to the water, indicating a potential lakeside or riverfront setting. Given the location in Ten Mile, Tennessee, it is highly likely that the nearby body of water is Watts Bar Lake, a significant recreational resource in the region known for boating, fishing, and scenic views. This proximity to water could be a major draw for those seeking "RV parks near me" that offer opportunities for water-related activities or simply enjoying a waterfront ambiance.
However, the same reviewer also pointed out a significant environmental consideration: the lack of shade trees and the spacing of the sites. According to this feedback, the sites might not be adequately spaced out, which could impact privacy and the overall feeling of spaciousness. The absence of shade trees could also make the park less comfortable during hot summer months. These are crucial factors for potential guests to consider based on their preferences for shade and site density.
In terms of services and features, one reviewer who visited a friend at Anchors Away RV Park noted that "they seem to like the people there" and that "everyone seemed friendly." This suggests a positive social atmosphere within the park, where both residents and visitors feel welcome. The second reviewer echoed this sentiment, describing the owner and other campers as "very nice and welcoming" and recommending the place to all. This emphasis on friendliness and a welcoming community is a significant feature that can greatly enhance the RV park experience.
The second reviewer also mentioned using Anchors Away RV Park as a "base camp to geocache the local area" and found it to be "perfect" for this purpose. This highlights another potential feature of the park: its strategic location for exploring the attractions and activities in the surrounding region. Ten Mile and the broader East Tennessee area offer various outdoor and recreational opportunities, and Anchors Away RV Park's location appears to provide convenient access to these.
Regarding water access, while the park is close to the water, one reviewer noted that you "couldn't really get to the water to enjoy it." This is a crucial piece of information for those specifically seeking "RV parks near me" with direct and usable water access for swimming, fishing, or launching boats. Potential guests should clarify the nature of the water access from the park – whether it's just a view, if there are designated access points, and what activities are permitted.
Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the reviews. However, the positive feedback regarding the friendly atmosphere and its suitability as a base camp for local exploration can be seen as implicit promotional points. The welcoming community and convenient location for area activities are significant draws for many RV travelers.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me," Anchors Away RV Park offers the appeal of a friendly community and proximity to the water, likely Watts Bar Lake. Its suitability as a base camp for exploring the local area, as highlighted by one reviewer's geocaching experience, suggests it could be a good option for those interested in outdoor adventures and local sightseeing. The positive comments about the owner and other campers create an impression of a welcoming and hospitable environment.
However, potential guests should also consider the noted drawbacks of a lack of shade trees and potentially close site spacing, as these factors can impact comfort and privacy. Additionally, the limited or restricted access to the nearby water is a crucial point for those hoping for direct engagement with the lake or river.

Anchors Away RV Park Reviews
Didn't actually stay here. Visited a friend and they seem to like the people there. Everyone seemed friendly. As for a place for me myself to stay, I find that not having shade trees or the sites actually being spaced out more is not something I would be interested in. Love the fact it was close to the water but hated that you couldn't really get to the water to enjoy it.
