Bayport RV Park and Campground Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the vicinity of Portland, Oregon, Bayport RV Park and Campground, situated at 57420 Old Portland Rd, Warren, OR 97053, USA, offers a riverside location that has garnered both positive and negative feedback from recent visitors. You can contact them at (503) 397-2888 or their mobile number +1 503-397-2888 to inquire about availability and rates. It is important to consider both the positive aspects and the concerns raised by fellow travelers when evaluating this park for your RV needs.
One traveler, journeying along the west coast, shared a very positive experience at Bayport RV Park and Campground. They lauded the "perfect location" and the "incredible price" of $30 per night for a water/electric site with Wi-Fi (noting a dump station was available outside the park). Located approximately 30-35 minutes outside of Portland, the park was described as feeling safe, quiet, and relatively new and relaxing, with ample space between RV sites. Each spot reportedly included a nice fire pit and table, along with some grassy areas for pets. The reviewer also noted that the sites appeared level. They found the bathrooms to be consistently clean and appreciated the showers, which cost $0.50 for 5 minutes.
The convenience of the location was further highlighted by the proximity to grocery stores, gas stations, a laundromat, a Dollar Tree, Walmart, restaurants, and fast food options. However, the standout feature for this reviewer was the park's location near a boat dock/bay and a "coolest walk path with trees and pavement right next to it," which they likened to something out of "Lord of the Rings" and which their dogs thoroughly enjoyed. They frequented this walk path daily during their week-long stay. The reviewer also gave high praise to Marshall, the caretaker, for his attentiveness, daily cleaning and maintenance of the park, and his nice, respectful, and professional demeanor, urging the owners to retain him.
In stark contrast, another recent visitor had a significantly negative experience. They reported that "everything was going great" until their brand new RV struck a "massive rock." They noted that these hard-to-see black rocks were prevalent throughout the park and posed a tripping hazard. Furthermore, they found the customer service to be unfriendly, specifically mentioning an unnamed individual who was reportedly unkind to their uncle and ultimately kicked them out for an "no apparent reason," with police present to ensure their departure. This reviewer strongly advised against recommending Bayport RV Park and Campground due to the "horrible" customer service, though they did mention that a lady working there was very nice but not often seen.
Considering the category "RV parks near me," these contrasting reviews present a mixed picture. The positive review highlights affordability, a scenic and convenient location near a river with walking paths, pet-friendly amenities, clean facilities, and a helpful caretaker. These are all significant factors that many RV travelers prioritize. The negative review, however, raises serious concerns about unseen hazards within the park that could damage RVs, unfriendly customer service, and potentially arbitrary eviction, which are significant red flags.
For those searching for "RV parks near me" that offer a pleasant natural environment and a reasonable price, Bayport RV Park and Campground appears to have potential, particularly due to its riverside location and proximity to amenities. The mention of a well-regarded caretaker, Marshall, also suggests that the park is generally well-maintained when he is present. However, the serious allegations of hazardous rocks and poor customer service from another staff member, culminating in an unexplained eviction, cannot be ignored.
Prospective visitors should contact Bayport RV Park and Campground directly to inquire about the presence and marking of any potential hazards within the park, as well as to understand their policies regarding guest interactions and evictions. It would be wise to ask about the specific roles and responsibilities of different staff members to understand who you might be interacting with during your stay. Inquiring about the park's pet policies in more detail, beyond the mention of grassy areas, would also be beneficial for those traveling with animals.
While one reviewer mentioned a price of $30 per night for water/electric and Wi-Fi, it is essential to confirm the current rates and any additional charges, such as for showers or dumping (if not done outside the park). Understanding the full cost of a stay is crucial when comparing "RV parks near me." The availability and reliability of the Wi-Fi service should also be verified.
The positive reviewer mentioned the park seemed "relatively new," which could contribute to its appealing condition. However, the issue with the rocks suggests that the landscaping or site preparation might have some oversights. It would be worth asking if any measures have been taken to address the visibility and potential hazards of these rocks.
In conclusion, Bayport RV Park and Campground near Warren, OR, offers an affordable stay in a scenic location with some appreciated amenities and a helpful caretaker, according to one reviewer. However, serious concerns regarding unseen hazards within the park and unfriendly customer service leading to an unexplained eviction have also been reported. Individuals searching for "RV parks near me" in this area should carefully weigh these contrasting experiences and contact the park directly to seek clarification on these issues before making a reservation. It might be prudent to request information about park safety measures and customer service protocols to ensure a positive and incident-free stay.

Bayport RV Park and Campground Reviews
Everything was going great until we ran into a massive rock with our brand new RV. They have these black rocks everywhere and they're really hard to see. I tripped over them and yeah they're just in the way. Also their customer service is not very friendly. I don't know the guy's name but he had. He was not very nice from my uncle and he actually ended up kicking us out for no apparent reason and he had cops sitting there waiting for us to make sure that we left nicely I guess. Not sure why. DO NOT recommend. Their customer service is horrible . The lady that works are there is very nice but you I didn't see her much. I much rather dealt with her.
Jan 15, 2025 · Ashley MiddletonTraveling the west coast with my girlfriend and two dogs all the way from Oklahoma. We have stayed at a lot of RV parks during our journey and I really loved this place. It’s the perfect location and at an incredible price ($30 a night for water/electric + WiFi. There is also a dump outside of the park). Location is about 30 - 35 min outside of Portland. Felt safe the entire time and it was a really nice little quiet RV park (seemed relatively new) and relaxing. Enough space between you and your neighbors. Nice fire pit and table at each spot and some grass for your pets if they need a place to go stretch their legs and/or go the bathroom. Every spot seemed pretty level as well. Bathrooms were always kept clean daily and showers were .50 cents for 5 min. A few grocery stores, gas stations, laundry mat, dollar tree, Walmart, restaurants, and fast food down the road. The best part of this place was that it was located near a boat dock/bay and had the coolest walk path with trees and pavement right next to it. Felt like it was from Lord of the Rings or something and my dogs absolutely loved it. We stayed at this RV park for a week and went every single day to the walk path. Also wanted to give a shout-out to Marshall, he is the caretaker of this RV park. He was always on point and made sure the place was cleaned and well maintained daily. Very nice, respectful, and professional. It’s hard to find good workers these days so definitely make an emphasis to keep Marshall around! He was awesome! Thank you for this place, wish there were more places like this across the USA…. Whoever owns this RV park, great job. I would rate it an A+ 5 star RV park.
Sep 30, 2024 · Jason SavageWe loved this little park. Small and cozy with ample space for our large rig, pulling in and out and spaces were great size. Park is very well kept, other guests were nice, park staff was exceptional and very accommodating. We came and stayed 3 nights while visiting family and it was wonderful. Nice location, quiet and we felt very safe and comfortable. Would definitely recommend and would definitely come back again if we are in the area.
