Beaverwood RV Park Introduce
Welcome to Beaverwood RV Park, located at 11373 Stewart Rd in Tanner, Alabama. For individuals searching for "RV parks near me" in the Tanner area, it is crucial to consider all available information before making a decision. Recent customer reviews regarding Beaverwood RV Park present a concerning picture that potential guests should be aware of.
Several reviewers have reported significant issues with the amenities and management of Beaverwood RV Park. A recurring complaint is the unreliability of the Wi-Fi service, with one guest stating that it "never once worked" during their entire stay. In an era where internet connectivity is often essential for travelers, especially those on extended stays or working remotely, this lack of reliable Wi-Fi is a significant drawback.
Maintenance of the grounds also appears to be a point of contention. While one reviewer noted that "lawn maintenance has improved," they immediately followed this by stating that "so has the land fill amongst the sites." This suggests a concerning issue with waste accumulation and disposal within the park, potentially impacting the aesthetic appeal and overall cleanliness of the environment. The presence of a landfill near or between campsites raises questions about hygiene and the quality of the outdoor living space for guests.
Perhaps the most alarming feedback revolves around the air quality and activities within the park. One reviewer issued a stark warning to those sensitive to certain smells, stating that if you "enjoy the smell of burning wire, plastic, rubber, wood, and who knows what else, this is the park for you!" They elaborated by describing individuals who "haul trash in, burn it down to bare metal, then scrap it," resulting in unpleasant odors permeating the park, particularly at night when guests are trying to sleep. This activity, according to the reviewer, seems to be tolerated or even "promoted" by the management, as evidenced by the increasing size of the "landfill." Such activities could also pose potential safety and environmental hazards within the RV park.
Another significant issue reported by multiple guests is the unreliability of the electrical service and the responsiveness of the management to such problems. One reviewer, a retired electrical engineer who had been staying at the park for over two weeks, recounted a power outage at their site. Despite contacting the manager, Misty, they were initially told it was the power company's responsibility. After two hours in 94°F heat (111°F comfort index) with no power, the issue remained unresolved. This reviewer also noted that the adjacent site was experiencing the same power outage, while most other sites had power. Their own investigation using a voltmeter indicated no voltage at the pedestal despite all breakers being on, suggesting a problem within the park's electrical infrastructure rather than an external power company issue. This lack of immediate resolution and the apparent misdiagnosis by management are concerning.
Adding to the negative experience, the same reviewer reported consistent problems with the internet service, stating that it had only been operational for four days and never for two consecutive days since their arrival. They also noted that the grass was not being mowed and was knee-high, further indicating a lack of adequate maintenance. Despite these significant issues, the management reportedly refused to pro-rate their payment to allow them to move elsewhere, highlighting a lack of customer service and willingness to address legitimate concerns.
An update from the same reviewer several hours later revealed that the power outage persisted, and they discovered that another site was also affected. Despite this, management attributed the outage to a storm, which the reviewer disputed, stating that the power was already out before the rain started. The reviewer also claimed that management is not on-site and therefore lacks firsthand knowledge of the issues until residents report them. This lack of on-site management and the perceived lack of responsiveness are serious shortcomings that potential guests should consider.
In light of these significant negative reviews, one former guest explicitly recommended another RV park, Swan Creek, as a "significantly better facility and grounds" for a similar price. This direct comparison underscores the severity of the issues reported at Beaverwood RV Park.
Considering the platform category "RV parks near me," Beaverwood RV Park, based on recent feedback, appears to fall significantly short in several key areas that are typically important to RV travelers. The unreliability of essential services like Wi-Fi and electricity, the potential for unpleasant and unhealthy environmental conditions due to open waste and burning activities, and the reported lack of responsive on-site management raise serious red flags. Potential guests seeking a comfortable, safe, and well-maintained RV park in the Tanner, AL area may want to exercise extreme caution and thoroughly investigate the current conditions at Beaverwood RV Park before making a reservation.
Given the overwhelmingly negative recent feedback, it is difficult to identify any positive promotional points for Beaverwood RV Park at this time. Any potential marketing would need to directly address and demonstrate significant improvements in the areas of Wi-Fi reliability, waste management, air quality, electrical service, and on-site management responsiveness to regain the trust of potential guests.
In conclusion, the recent customer reviews for Beaverwood RV Park in Tanner, AL, paint a concerning picture characterized by unreliable Wi-Fi, poor waste management, unpleasant and potentially hazardous burning activities, intermittent power outages, neglected grounds maintenance, and a perceived lack of responsive on-site management. Potential guests searching for "RV parks near me" in this area are strongly advised to consider these issues carefully and perhaps explore alternative options, such as the Swan Creek RV Park recommended by a former guest, to ensure a more positive and comfortable RVing experience. Direct contact with Beaverwood RV Park at (256) 251-2006 or +1 256-251-2006 is recommended for those who still wish to inquire, with a strong emphasis on seeking assurances regarding the resolution of the serious issues highlighted in the recent reviews.

Feb 14, 2024 · Westin ZackoskiOK, power went out at our site, been here over two weeks. Called Misty and she said the power company would have to fix it. Two hours later and no power, 94F, 111F comfort index and sitting outside. Would have moved to site next door, but power is out on that site, too. All other sites still have power. I'm a retired electrical engineer and have checked my power box AND the main at the pedestal with my voltmeter, and all breakers are on (both sites) but no voltage. I would be tolerant of this failure. However, we have been constantly contacting management over the internet service. It has only been up for four days, and NEVER for two consecutive days since we arrived. Grass is NOT mowed and knee high. Management so far refuses to at least pro-rate our payment so we can move elsewhere. These reviews should allow zero stars.Update - So it has now been several hours and nothing. Started raining and now have to close roof vents. Found that another site is having the same issue. But most sites still have power. Called Misty and she said power is out because of storm. BS!! Was already out. Management is NOT on site so they don't know squat until you call and leave a message. This place has some serious short comings, stay at your own risk.
Jul 19, 2023 · Robert LangeHas beautiful lots to rent but they definitely need to go thru and make some of their tenants clean the lots the front half at a glance looks rough from all the extra added things on the lots but does seem to be a quiet park
Mar 19, 2025 · Michael WhismanI contacted Misty. She is very nice and we agreed to my paying $450. We decided I would move my travel trailer there on or before We’d. Feb. 8, 2023. My son had one day to help me get it moved there. When we got there the power was not activated on the lot. I was promised it would be. They only had 50 Amp service so I had to buy an adapter but still the power was not on. I was tired, it was cold and late. She suggested I move it to another lot but that lot had two ditches surrounding it and I knew come Summer that mosquitoes would eat us up. I was not going to move it to that lot. The power never got fixed on the original lot that my camper was on. I never got to use my camper there, not once. After much back and forth, I decided I wanted a refund and have asked for one but am Still waiting for my money back. I had to be out of my previous home by Monday and needed a place to park my travel trailer. I found a nice one and had to pay $650. for the first three months. My money is now very tight due to a fixed income in retirement so it’s put me in a real bind not having received my refund yet. I feel like I’ve been duped or taken advantage of. I’ve inquired again after the 48 hours but no answer. I will change my review when I receive my money back. Also, it’s not as neat as some of their pictures suggest. When you first enter the campground, there is run down campers and junk sitting everywhere. First impressions are important and I’m no longer impressed. There are no picnic tables, no fire pits, not much space to park and have a patio area plus the drainage pipes stick up everywhere so one has to be very careful not to puncture their tires trying to get their camper parked in there, no drive through spots either. The only redeeming factor is it’s quiet and close to Athens but not getting my money back is a huge problem! As an update, this is Feb 15, 2023, the remarks by Beaverwood are a lie. I spoke with Misty on several occasions including today and then she rudely hung up on me. Clearly, she is working for a shady person or company. Today, I let her know my Refund was not in my mail box nor bank account. Her reply was that it was coming from Tennessee and they could not help how fast or slow the mail runs which anyone already knows this but she told me they had attempted to refund it on my bank card. I called my bank and was told that if they had attempted to refund that or any amount, it would automatically show up so clearly That was a lie. I understand that Misty is being lied to most likely also but I paid the first months rent in good faith and quickly. When we arrived there was NO POWER, period. We tried to get it to come on, it Would Not come on so Another LIE! As of today November 30, 2023 Beaverwood RV Park owes me $450. and Has NOT paid me back. Any more lies posted on their page about me will result in a law suit!
Dec 01, 2023 · cheryl HancockI just got notified, by google maps to rate my visit here.My husband and I lived here full-time for, just shy of a year. We really loved the old owner and managers. It was small and really just a place to park with hookups but it was cozy and well kept up. I would have suggested it to any of my friends. It's proximity to Athens and the new industrial park, off of old hwy 20 was great. A month ago I would have given this place 5 stars and it was called Stewart Rd Rv park, then. One day, I woke up and got my husband off to work at 4am and everything was normal but around 8am I walked outside to notes taped to everyones doors. No knocks. No introductions. Just informality. Nearly everyone moved out. I still never saw or spoke to the new owners or the new manager in person, because they never came by and introduced themselves. They just put out notes and sent around contracts via the old manager.I wish the new owners the best of luck in their future endeavorsI have uploaded a photo of the note that was attached to our doors so if someone wants to contact them about renting a spot here they have a way to contact them. There is a phone number and email, at the bottom of the page.
