Big Steve's RV Park Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" in the Frankston, Texas area, seeking a tranquil lakeside getaway? Consider Big Steve's RV Park, located at 23491 County Rd 4117, Frankston, TX 75763, USA. Based on the available customer reviews, this park offers a unique environment centered around water activities and a peaceful atmosphere, although it's important to note a significant policy regarding guests.
Big Steve's RV Park can be contacted for inquiries and reservations at (903) 617-0297 or via mobile phone at +1 903-617-0297. Let's delve into what local users can expect from this RV park based on the experiences shared by others.
One enthusiastic reviewer recounted a "great week on the water," highlighting the park's proximity to a lake or other body of water suitable for recreation. This suggests that water-related activities are a key feature of Big Steve's RV Park. The reviewer enjoyed observing local wildlife, specifically mentioning "herons and ducks hunt breakfast," indicating a natural and possibly serene environment where wildlife is present and active. This could be particularly appealing to nature lovers and those seeking a peaceful retreat.
The same reviewer also praised the "folks I have met" at the park and commended "Steve's grandson who does a great job taking care of the park," suggesting a friendly and well-maintained environment. This personal touch and positive interaction with the park's caretaker can significantly enhance the overall experience for visitors, fostering a sense of community and ensuring the park is well-looked-after.
In terms of amenities, this review mentions a "fishing/boat dock," which is a significant draw for those who enjoy fishing or boating. Having direct access to the water with a dedicated dock can provide convenience and enhance the recreational opportunities for guests. Additionally, the presence of a "swing on the bank" suggests a relaxing spot to enjoy the waterfront views and the natural surroundings. The reviewer also noted "level lots available," which is an essential feature for RV parking, ensuring stability and ease of setup for different types of recreational vehicles.
The reviewer's connection to the local area, with family and friends nearby, indicates that Big Steve's RV Park is a convenient location for those visiting or residing in Frankston. Their intention to return "a few times a year" speaks volumes about their positive experience at the park.
However, another review presents a crucial piece of information that potential visitors must be aware of. A user who planned to bring their family along for a business trip and some relaxation was informed upon calling to reserve that the park is "adults only." This policy is a significant factor and may deter families with children from considering Big Steve's RV Park. While the park's website might have suggested a family-friendly environment (the reviewer mentioned a picture of a child with a fish), the actual policy is adults only. This discrepancy highlights the importance of verifying such details directly with the park management when making reservations.
Therefore, local users searching for "RV parks near me" in Frankston, TX, should be aware that Big Steve's RV Park offers a lakeside environment with opportunities for fishing and enjoying nature. The park seems to be well-maintained, with friendly people and level RV lots. However, it operates as an "adults only" park, which is a critical factor for those traveling with children.
Considering the positive aspects, Big Steve's RV Park appears to be an ideal destination for adults seeking a peaceful waterfront retreat with opportunities for fishing and enjoying the natural beauty of the area. The presence of a fishing/boat dock and the scenic environment with wildlife like herons and ducks offer a unique appeal. The positive remarks about the park's caretaker suggest a well-managed and welcoming atmosphere for adult guests.
However, the "adults only" policy is a non-negotiable factor for potential visitors. Families with children will need to seek alternative RV parks that accommodate guests of all ages. It is essential for Big Steve's RV Park to clearly communicate this policy on all platforms, including their website and during phone inquiries, to avoid disappointment and inconvenience for potential guests.
For local users who are looking for an "adults only" RV park near Frankston, TX, with a focus on lakeside recreation and a peaceful environment, Big Steve's RV Park could be an excellent choice. The positive review mentioning the beautiful surroundings, wildlife, and friendly atmosphere suggests a pleasant stay for adult individuals or couples. The availability of a fishing/boat dock and level lots further enhances its appeal for those looking to enjoy the waterfront and have a comfortable parking setup for their RVs.
To obtain more detailed information about the park's specific amenities, services, and any current promotional offers for adult guests, it is recommended to contact Big Steve's RV Park directly at (903) 617-0297 or +1 903-617-0297. Inquiring about the types of RV hookups available, the size and layout of the lots, any additional facilities (such as restrooms, showers, or laundry), and the specific rules and regulations of the park, especially regarding the "adults only" policy, will help local users make an informed decision. Additionally, asking about any seasonal specials or long-term stay discounts for adults could be beneficial.
In conclusion, Big Steve's RV Park in Frankston, TX, offers a potentially serene lakeside retreat with opportunities for fishing and enjoying nature, particularly appealing to adults. The park seems to be well-maintained with friendly service and level RV lots. However, the strict "adults only" policy is a crucial factor that potential visitors must consider. Local users seeking an adults-only RV experience near the water in Frankston should definitely consider Big Steve's RV Park and contact them directly for more details.

Big Steve's RV Park Reviews
What a great week on the water! Between family and friends in the local area, I have enjoyed waking every morning, watching the herons and ducks hunt breakfast. I love the folks I have met and Steve's grandson who does a great job taking care of the park. There is a fishing/boat dock, a swing on the bank, and level lots available. Its close to my kids and grandbabies so definitely will be back a few times a year.
Jul 26, 2023 · Becky GambillNeeded to stay in the area for a couple days for business so I figured it would be a great time to bring the family along and get alittle r&r together on my down time. Park website looked good there was even a picture of a kid with a fish. Called to reserve dude says it’s adults only. Lame 😒
May 15, 2024 · Benjamin HermanMy lady and I had the pleasure of staying 3 weeks The park is small but VERY clean and well kept Danny and his crew were out every day raking or insulating the water spickets. or just doing every day upkeep. The owners were very friendly and helpful to tell us the best local places to eat and shop. The lake level was low but the fishing was still ok. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!!
Nov 26, 2019 · Rob StoeHave been here about seven months and absolutely love it. Great fishing and bird watching. The most peaceful park we have been to since starting this adventure three years ago. The owns/operators are amazing and very friendly. Please don't change.
Aug 07, 2019 · Tammy KoontzMy wife and I went full time RV living well over 2 years ago. Big Steve's is by far one of the best parks we have stayed in. Very quiet, peaceful, and the staff is extremely friendly. I highly recommend this park to anyone whether you are wanting to be on the lake for a weekend getaway or to stay for eternity. 5* all day long.
