Nov 07, 2023 · Patricia CampbellWe stayed at Black Creek Lodge RV Park & Marina for a little over two months with our two kids and two large dogs, and let me tell you—this place is magical! Nestled among tall, majestic trees draped in Spanish moss, with views of the peaceful river and untouched woods, it feels like stepping into a nature documentary. During our stay, American Robins were migrating, and the cool mornings were incredible. Every inch of the ground seemed alive with birds and squirrels, and a red-headed woodpecker even visited me each morning as I enjoyed my coffee. Add in the sound of the wind singing through the moss-covered trees, and it’s pure serenity. Our kids, aged 5 and 15, had the time of their lives here. Between bike rides, fishing, kayaking, exploring, and making new friends, there was always something fun to do. The sites are spacious, clean, and well-equipped. We had a 50-amp full hookup with a power post that looked almost brand-new and worked perfectly. Our site had plenty of room for a gazebo, area rug, and more. Each spot comes with a large, clean aluminum table (easy to move around and make the space yours) and a fantastic fire pit perfect for cooking or staying cozy. We made countless s’mores and a few delicious meals over ours! The park’s amenities are top-notch. The shower rooms are like mini spas— clean and well-lit, with keypad entry for extra security. I loved having room to bring all my toiletries, enjoy a hot, high-pressure shower, and get dressed comfortably. The laundry facilities and restrooms are equally clean and convenient, and well light. The marina is another highlight, with a newer dock and picnic tables—perfect for a clean and cook party (double-check with the owners first). The kids loved watching the fishermen bring in their haul, and some even shared their catches with us. Another huge thanks to those kind fishermen for the redfish and mullet—it was delicious! What truly sets Black Creek Lodge apart is the sense of community. The owners are down-to-earth, genuine people who clearly love and care for this place. Their passion shows in every well-maintained site and thoughtful touch. The RV community here is warm and welcoming, family-friendly gatherings, and plenty of opportunities to mingle. This was our first stop on our new RV adventure, and honestly, it’s hard to leave. From the water lilies and American flags dotting the grounds to the endless opportunities for nature watching, fishing, kayaking, and connecting with amazing people, Black Creek Lodge has everything we could have hoped for—and more. We will definitely be returning. Highly recommending this gem to anyone looking for a peaceful, family-friendly getaway.
Feb 24, 2025 · Tyina DennyWe enjoy every visit at Black Creek Lodge RV Park. Amazing location, close to the beaches and dining. We enjoy both the beach and river. Owners are beyond helpful and the stay is for sure reasonably priced. My first go-to place anytime I want a getaway with my family. We love it here.
Mar 09, 2023 · Sicily StacySuch a quaint and practical place to stay when fishing. I've stayed at the motel multiple times now, and it is always very clean. The boat ramp is great and there is always plenty of parking and boat slips. The owners are very hospitable and accommodating. The campers and locals are always friendly and inviting as well.
Nov 14, 2024 · Jacob WilliamsonWe took our camper for the week of July 4th and decided to keep it there for the rest of the month! We had the perfect lot with a view of the boats and marina/water. We viewed some of the cabins and they were very clean and so cute! The creek will take you to many waterways including several rivers, Choctawhatchee Bay, and also access to the Gulf of Mexico. All of these are great for fishing, water sports, or just a peaceful boat ride. This is a perfect pet friendly location to have a little vacation away from the crowds of the beach but close enough to make a quick ride to the beautiful white beaches, shopping at nearby Destin, and many restaurants on 30A and the surrounding area. We love taking a boat ride to The Bay Restaurant for lunch. The only thing that would make BCL RV Park better would be a public shower/restroom but I still give ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
