Branching Pines RV Community Introduce
For local users seeking "RV parks near me" in the Fort Mitchell, Alabama area, Branching Pines RV Community, located at 911 AL-165, Fort Mitchell, AL 36856, presents itself as an option. You can contact them at (334) 614-4186 or their mobile number +1 334-614-4186 for inquiries about availability and rates. Based on the available customer reviews, Branching Pines RV Community offers a somewhat mixed experience, with both positive and negative aspects highlighted by its visitors.
One positive aspect mentioned in the reviews is the friendliness of the owner. A guest noted that the "Owner is very nice lady," which can contribute significantly to a welcoming atmosphere. Additionally, the availability of maintenance support was appreciated, with a mention that the "maintenance guy was around anytime help was needed." This suggests that while there might be issues within the park, there is an effort to address them when necessary.
However, a significant and recurring complaint revolves around the condition of the internal roads. One reviewer stated that the "roads’ inside the park were full of potholes," and another emphatically echoed this sentiment with "THERE ARE SOOOOOOOO MANY POTHOLES." This poor road condition appears to be a considerable inconvenience for RV owners, particularly those with newer or more sensitive vehicles, as highlighted by the comment, "Wouldn’t have noticed as much if my rv wasn’t brand new." This infrastructure issue is a key factor for potential visitors to consider, especially those planning to navigate the park frequently with their RV or other vehicles.
Another point raised by a reviewer is the classification of the park, noting it is "Mostly a trailer park with RV sites." This distinction might be important for individuals specifically seeking a traditional RV resort experience versus a community with a more permanent residential presence. The same reviewer also mentioned a potential billing issue, stating they "actually would have gotten ripped off for about 4 days that over lapped from the first month," although they chose to leave sooner. While this might be an isolated incident, it warrants attention for those considering longer stays and the importance of clear billing practices.
The experience of one long-term visitor highlights the variability of the sites within Branching Pines RV Community. They described their first month on a "paved semi level site with no trees in the blistering sun all day right near the very noisy busy highway." This suggests that some sites may lack shade and be exposed to significant noise from the adjacent highway, which could impact the comfort and tranquility of a stay. In contrast, their second site was "off the road a bit more with lots of tree coverage which we loved." This indicates that the park does offer more desirable, shaded spots. However, this shaded site came with its own set of problems, notably "flooding." The reviewer described living in a "mud pit we could barely pull our cars or rig out of anytime it rained," and they even got their "RV stuck trying to pull out," further compounded by the park's "Bobcat broke down in front of that site for days." This paints a picture of potentially significant drainage issues in certain areas of the park, which could be a major deterrent, especially during periods of rain.
Further concerns were raised about the leveling of sites, with the reviewer noting their shaded site "needed serious leveling as well." Uneven sites can create significant challenges for RVers in terms of comfort and the proper functioning of their leveling systems and appliances.
In terms of the environment beyond the individual sites, the reviewer noted, "Ft Mitchell is not close to anything worth looking at." This suggests that the immediate surroundings may not offer a wealth of attractions or activities, which could be a consideration for those looking to explore the local area. Furthermore, the park is described as offering "ZERO amenities beyond full hook up." This is a crucial point for potential guests who value facilities such as laundry rooms, restrooms, showers, recreational areas, or community spaces. The lack of these amenities might make Branching Pines RV Community more suitable for self-contained RVs that do not rely on external facilities.
Adding to the complexity of the picture are comments regarding the owners/hosts, who were described as "quite strange as they dig through the dumpsters full of resident trash and told my husband and I varying versions of the same incident which was…..interesting to say the least." Such observations about the management's behavior could raise concerns about privacy and professionalism for some potential residents.
Finally, one reviewer explicitly stated, "I wouldn’t return to this ‘campground’," and offered an alternative recommendation for military-affiliated individuals with certain dog breeds, suggesting that "Uchee Creek!" is "MUCH NICER." This direct comparison and negative recommendation should be carefully considered by prospective visitors.
In summary, Branching Pines RV Community offers full hook-up sites and has a reportedly nice owner and available maintenance. However, the park appears to suffer from significant issues including severely potholed roads, potential flooding and mud problems in shaded areas, uneven sites, a lack of amenities beyond hook-ups, and concerns raised about the management's behavior. The location is also described as not being close to local attractions. While some visitors might find the basic full hook-up and the friendliness of the owner sufficient for their needs, the numerous negative reviews, particularly concerning the infrastructure and site conditions, suggest that potential local users searching for "RV parks near me" should carefully weigh these factors and perhaps consider alternative options if they prioritize well-maintained facilities and a range of amenities.

If you don’t have a restricted dog breed and are affiliated with the military, stay at Uchee Creek! MUCH NICER
Oct 30, 2021 · Hillary Skye WalkerWe stayed at this RV park for about five months. It was nice and quiet most of the time and everyone was friendly. The staff is always maintaining the property and Sue, in particular, managed the property very well. I was impressed at how quick she is to respond and help when needed. Price is also very reasonable. We will definitely be back.
Dec 02, 2023 · Hanna RomaihGreat place to stay long term or short term. Next to the Highway but actually quiet; neighbors don’t make much noise and haven’t had any trouble. Location is very close to base. The dumpsters are regularly emptied and lawns are consistently maintained. The price is decent considering that other trailer parks in the area want 500 to 800 bucks just for a hookup. Paying rent is simple and easy, only $10 fee if you miss a payment. Sue is very friendly and manages the place well. Branching Pines offers a place to live at a fair price, it’s a trailer park I can’t speak to the specifics of other’s 1 star reviews but it is a trailer park, what do y’all expect?
Oct 06, 2023 · TravisI only lived here for a few months due to work relocation, but this was a very cozy and friendly community. Miss Sue is the sweetest and makes sure you're taken care of and the homes are very clean and we'll maintained. You'll love it!
