Laurel Manor Mobile Home Community Introduce
For local users seeking "RV parks near me" in the Phenix City, Alabama area, the search results might also include mobile home communities like Laurel Manor Mobile Home Community, situated at 420 Martin Luther King Jr Pkwy S, Phenix City, AL 36869, USA. While categorized under the broader umbrella of providing land for housing units, similar to how some RV parks offer long-term sites, Laurel Manor primarily serves as a residential mobile home community. Understanding the environment, services, and features of Laurel Manor is crucial for those considering it as a place to live.
Based on the available customer reviews, Laurel Manor Mobile Home Community presents a complex picture with contrasting experiences and perspectives. One detailed review from a long-term resident of 30 years focuses primarily on the policies and treatment by the ownership, explicitly stating that their concerns "has nothing to do with the management at Laurel Manor." This suggests a potential disconnect between the ownership's directives and the management's approach. The reviewer expresses dissatisfaction with the high lot rent charged alongside stringent rules regarding property maintenance, such as mandated grass cutting, yard raking, and porch cleaning schedules. This long-time resident emphasizes that previous owners did not treat their tenants in this manner.
Furthermore, this reviewer, who rents their trailer and has invested personal resources into its upkeep over the years (including installing ceiling fans, new floor vents, and multiple paint jobs at their own expense), expresses disappointment that the current ownership is unwilling to provide paint for the exterior despite the resident's age (75 years old) and offer to purchase the paint themselves. The reviewer concludes by reiterating that the "people that managed this trailer park or great people," underscoring a positive view of the on-site management while criticizing the ownership's policies.
In contrast, a more recent review offers a significantly different perspective, highlighting a positive transformation within the community due to the efforts of "Luisa and Veronica," presumably members of the current management. This reviewer states that the community "used to awful" but has been improved by the current management's implementation and enforcement of rules and regulations, leading to a better overall appearance. They explicitly mention that the community ensures tenants maintain clean yards, even if some tenants are resistant to this requirement. Additionally, the enforcement of music ordinances has increased, contributing to a more peaceful environment. This reviewer concludes by recommending living at Laurel Manor, describing it as "one of the best communities to live in."
Considering these two contrasting reviews, the environment and services at Laurel Manor Mobile Home Community appear to be in a state of positive transition under the current management, although historical issues related to ownership policies may still be a concern for some residents. The positive review suggests that the community is actively working to improve its aesthetic appeal and maintain a certain standard of living through enforced regulations. This could be seen as a benefit for residents who value a well-kept and orderly environment.
The services typically offered by a mobile home community like Laurel Manor would likely include:
- Lot Rentals: Providing space for residents to place their owned mobile homes. The cost of lot rent and what it includes (e.g., water, sewage, trash) would be important to ascertain.
- Basic Utilities Hookups: Ensuring that each lot has access to essential utilities such as water, electricity, and sewage.
- Community Maintenance: Upkeep of common areas, roadways within the park, and potentially landscaping of shared spaces.
- Management Office: On-site management to handle resident inquiries, enforce community rules, and oversee park operations.
The positive review's mention of enforced yard maintenance and music ordinances suggests that the current management is actively involved in shaping the community environment and ensuring a certain quality of life for its residents. This proactive approach could be a significant draw for individuals seeking a well-managed community.
However, the concerns raised by the long-term resident about ownership-mandated rules and the lack of support for home maintenance (like painting) are also crucial factors to consider. Prospective residents should inquire about the specific rules and regulations of the community, the responsibilities of lot renters regarding property maintenance, and any services provided by the ownership or management for the upkeep of individual mobile homes, especially for long-term residents or those who rent their units.
Promotional information for Laurel Manor Mobile Home Community is not explicitly provided in the available reviews. To obtain information about current lot rental rates, any move-in specials, or other incentives for new residents, it is advisable to contact the community directly at the provided phone numbers: (334) 219-2571 or +1 334-219-2571. Speaking with the management would be the best way to get up-to-date details on pricing, availability, community policies, and any ongoing promotions.
In conclusion, Laurel Manor Mobile Home Community in Phenix City, AL, presents a situation with both positive developments and potential concerns. The current management appears to be actively working to improve the community's environment and enforce standards that enhance its appeal. However, long-standing residents have raised issues regarding the ownership's rules and lack of support for home maintenance. For local users searching for "RV parks near me" who are considering a longer-term stay in a mobile home community, Laurel Manor warrants further investigation. Direct communication with the management to understand the current rules, services, fees, and overall community environment is highly recommended. Visiting the property may also provide valuable insights into the recent improvements and the overall living experience at Laurel Manor Mobile Home Community.

Laurel Manor Mobile Home Community Reviews
This has nothing to do with the management at Laurel Manor. It has to do with the ownership. They charge you so much for lot rent and then want to rule you about when to cut your grass Rake your yard clean your porch This has nothing to do with the management because the owners tell the management what to send out to the people that live here. I have lived in this trailer park for 30 years and no one that ever owned it before ever treated their attendance the way these people do. I rent my trailer I have put ceiling fans in every room of this mobile home I have put down new floor vents in this mobile home I have painted this mobile home about 4 or 5 times in 30 years furnished my own paint, but now that I am 75 years old I offered to buy the paint but they will not paint this mobile home for me. The people that managed this trailer park or great people has nothing to do with the owners.
Feb 28, 2025 · Jeannie FlemingThe community used to awful but Luisa and Veronica have changed the community. The rules and regulations have made the community look better. Its one of the best communities to live in. The community makes sure tenants maintain their yards clean and even if tenants don’t like it. Music ordinance has been more enforced. I would recommend living here.
May 15, 2023 · Martha HerreraThe park management is really nice and friendly even the maintenance man Penguin. Veronica the park manager goes out of her way to help you in anyway she can. I’ve been here 26 yrs and don’t plan on going anywhere. They have always fixed anything I had go wrong. They try really had to get people to keep the yards clean. Last Thanksgiving they gave residence Turkeys. Water pressure is really bad. Sometimes it 11 or 12 at night before I get enough pressure to wash my dinner dishes and get a shower.
Sep 01, 2022 · Jeannie FlemingThis is a review of the staff. I am a non-resident and cannot speak to living in the community but will say the property manager, Veronica, has been awesome. My dad lives in the community, and she has been very attentive to him as he is one of the elderly residents. She checks in with him on a regular basis, and was instrumental in helping him get medical attention during a recent health scare. It puts me at ease to know there is a staff member who actually cares about the residents and treats them like family.
Dec 20, 2020 · Katherine B. WoodsI've been a resident of the community for nearly 4 years and absolutely love it. I especially love the staff, starting with the manager, sweet Veronica. And let's not forget the wonderful folk in maintenance, Paty and Aldolfo who are always responsive to even my minor issues. The community is quiet, peaceful, neighbor-friendly, close to shopping, and super-safe. Safety is a huge concern for me as a recovering stroke victim with limited mobility. I leave my door unlocked without fear of unwanted intruders to allow visitors easy entrance without me having the hassle of getting to the door.
