Camp Coldbrook RV Resort Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the Barre, Massachusetts area, Camp Coldbrook RV Resort, located at 864 Old Coldbrook Rd, Barre, MA 01005, USA, is one option that appears in search results. To learn more about this park and determine if it meets your needs, it's essential to consider the available information, including direct contact with the resort at (978) 355-2090 or their mobile number, +1 978-355-2090, and feedback from other campers.
Several customer reviews provide insights into the experience at Camp Coldbrook RV Resort. One reviewer recounts a significant issue with noise late at night, describing neighbors playing cornhole loudly, playing music, and generally being disruptive well past 11 PM. This reviewer expressed that their campsite was being invaded and that the neighbors seemed unconcerned about others. They also mentioned a very bright light that further detracted from their experience. This negative encounter led them to decide against staying the entire weekend as planned, citing the lack of sleep as a primary reason. This review highlights a potential concern regarding noise levels and the enforcement of quiet hours within the resort.
Another reviewer expressed strong disappointment with Camp Coldbrook RV Resort, stating they were unsure how it could be called a "resort." This suggests that the facilities and overall experience did not align with the expectations typically associated with a resort. Specific issues mentioned in this review include poor road conditions within the park and the presence of numerous "old rundown campers." The reviewer also noted that many campsites were unkempt and cluttered with junk. Additionally, they observed cottages on the property that appeared to have been nicer in the past but were no longer well-maintained.
Further negative feedback from this reviewer included very loud music that made it difficult to converse or even hear their television. They also reported that the cable TV was not working. While they found the bathrooms to be mostly clean, they pointed out that the light fixtures needed cleaning due to years of accumulated dead bugs. A significant issue was the lack of hot water in the men's room. Regarding recreational facilities, the reviewer described the golf course as subpar, with grass so long that golf balls were easily lost. Despite these criticisms, the reviewer acknowledged the beautiful area in which the resort is located and the friendliness of the office staff. They suggested that with improvements such as cleaning up the grounds and addressing disruptive guests ("riff raff"), the location has the potential to be a nice place.
Considering these reviews, it's important to approach Camp Coldbrook RV Resort with caution and a clear understanding of potential drawbacks. While the friendly office staff and the scenic location are noted as positives, significant concerns have been raised regarding noise levels, the condition of the roads and campsites, the upkeep of the facilities (including the golf course and possibly the cottages), and the functionality of amenities like cable TV and hot water in the men's restroom.
When searching for "RV parks near me," prospective campers typically look for a combination of a pleasant environment, useful services, and appealing features. Based on the limited and largely negative feedback, it is challenging to confidently describe the environment, services, and features of Camp Coldbrook RV Resort in a positive light without further, more recent information.
- Environment: While the area surrounding the resort is described as beautiful, the internal environment of the campground, according to reviews, suffers from poor road conditions and unkempt campsites, including the presence of old, rundown campers and junk. The noise levels, particularly late at night, also detract from a peaceful environment.
- Services: The availability and quality of services are questionable based on the reviews. Cable TV is reported as non-functional, and hot water was absent in the men's restroom. While the bathrooms were generally clean, the maintenance of light fixtures was lacking. The condition of the golf course suggests that recreational services may not be well-maintained. The friendliness of the office staff is a noted positive aspect of their service.
- Features: The resort purportedly has a golf course, but its condition is described as very poor. There are also cottages on the property, but they are noted as being rundown. Other typical RV resort features, such as a pool, laundry facilities, or organized activities, are not mentioned in the provided information or reviews. The bright light mentioned by one reviewer as a nuisance suggests potentially inadequate site lighting management.
Given the significant negative feedback concerning noise, site conditions, and amenity functionality, it would be prudent for anyone considering Camp Coldbrook RV Resort as one of the "RV parks near me" to directly contact the resort management. When you call (978) 355-2090 or +1 978-355-2090, you should inquire specifically about:
- Current Site Conditions: Ask about the condition of the roads and the upkeep of the RV sites. Inquire if any improvements have been made since the negative reviews.
- Noise Policy and Enforcement: Understand their policies regarding quiet hours and how they are enforced to ensure a peaceful environment for all guests.
- Amenity Functionality: Check if the cable TV is currently working and if the hot water issue in the men's restroom has been resolved. Inquire about the current condition of the golf course and any other recreational facilities.
- Maintenance and Cleanliness: Ask about their current maintenance schedule for the grounds, facilities, and any rental units.
- Availability and Rates: Inquire about their current availability for RV sites and their rates, including any potential discounts or special offers.
It is important to note that the provided information does not include any promotional material. Therefore, an objective introduction must rely solely on the available reviews and the basic contact information. The reviews paint a picture of a resort that, at the time of the feedback, was falling short of expectations in several key areas, despite being located in a beautiful region and having friendly office staff. Potential guests should weigh these concerns carefully and seek updated information directly from Camp Coldbrook RV Resort to ascertain its current state and suitability for their needs when searching for "RV parks near me" in Barre, Massachusetts.

Camp Coldbrook RV Resort Reviews
We’ve been generally camping all season all over the place and went to give this place a shot. What a disappointment! It’s after 11pm and the people next to us are literally playing corn hole very loudly, playing music, and just invading our campsite in general. You can definitely tell they’ve done this before and don’t really care about other people near them. They have a VERY bright light on too. This is the first time I’ve ever complained about a campground but they really were that loud and still are. It’s 11:17 at night and they are still planning for more rounds of beer, shots, and corn hole….right next to the tent where we have our two kids and ourselves. So yeah. I don’t think we will stay the whole weekend like we planned. What’s the point? Not worth it with no sleep.
Sep 07, 2024 · Anita MaeI was very disappointed with this campground. I am not sure how they can call it a resort because it is anything but a resort. The roads are not good, the place is full of old rundown campersA lot of sites were unkept and full junk. there is cottages that look like they used to be very nice, not so much any more..Very loud, music blaring so loud we couldn't even hear each other or our TV. The cable TV doesn't work. The bathrooms were clean for the most part, the light fixture could use a good cleaning from the years of dead bugs inside. The men's room had no hot water. The golf coarse is nothing great, grass is so long you cant even find your balls. This place has some great potential, it is in a beautiful area. The office people were very friendly.. Clean the place up and get the riff raff out and it could be a nice place..
Aug 26, 2024 · Rindy LavalleeAfter camping here with my family alot growing up, I was hopeful this would still be a great family campground to now take my family to. Unfortunately I was wrong. We arrived to a very loud campsite, with a seasonal camper nearby blasting their music. I'm all for listening to your music while you hang out, but maybe not everyone in the entire campground wants to listen to it the WHOLE day. Once it got dark the music continued, in addition to a loud group of teens in the playground right across from us who favored using profanity and racial slurs loud enough to make my tween and teen uncomfortable. There was also a small dog barking for several hours straight near us, with the owners either not caring or not even there to stop it. As we got further into the night the music continued to blast. There were loud drunken arguments and yelling to be heard on and off too. The music stopped very briefly at quiet time, only to be turned back on again even louder. We attempted to flag down what we thought were camp employees in golf carts only to find they were all just drunk campers buzzing around in their carts. It was so disruptive we left our site at 12:30 am. We attempted to call the emergency number listed on the website, with no answer. When we spoke to staff the next morning we were told rather nonchalantly that the number "doesn't work". We were also told there were several other incidents that happened that night, one resulting in the cops being called and the employee who is also a camper there freely admitted there were many nights that she was kept awake by loud music of other campers. We were told there was overnight security, but we never saw or heard anyone enforcing campground rules. If you are looking for an "Anything goes" drunken party campground, this is the place for you.If you are looking for a family friendly getaway in nature...this place is not it.The one positive is that we're fully refunded upon request after sharing our experience.
Aug 07, 2024 · Melisa HowarthIm not a person to do reviews but i feel that it is necessary. We purchased a site that claimed to have 30 amp & water. We unpack the car to find that it is not either. We had to walk back up the road & find someone because NO one answers the phones. We found the manager who told us that wasn’t a hook up site & it’s tent only. We showed him his website where it stated there was supposed to be hook ups. He was thankfully able to move us to another site with hookups (well so we thought) We get unpacked YET AGAIN & the electric doesn’t work!!!!!!!! We ended up having to borrow a cord from the manager so we could have electric. The site was rocky as heck & at a TERRIBLE slant. As stated in other reviews. The campground is VERY loud. Do NOT come here if you looking to relax within the pines. Blaring music from 11am to 12:30am. Dogs barking constantly! Even some lady thinking she can sing our first time. There is NO children pool as showed in multiple locations so the pool was not relaxing to say the least. This is our fault but feel like it needs a mention, we looked through the photos & didn’t notice on the bottom of the page that the TAVERN IS CLOSED!!The one positive thing i will say is that staff are ALL very nice & kind!!
Jul 06, 2024 · Emily NutterThe good: The pool is nice and the woman working the store was very friendly. The rest: obnoxiously loud music and broken down, unkept trailers, terrible roads, our site was supposed to have 50 amp, they moved us to a 30 amp, right next to blaring speakers till 11 pm.It’s laughable they call themselves a resort. Its too bad, they have all the right stuff to make a great campground but they want to cater to a certain group. Don’t bring your kids here and expect them to sleep or you for that matter. They don’t care, as nobody will answer their phone. Never again .
