Briarwood Mobile Home Park Introduce
For local users in search of 'RV parks near me' who might be considering a more permanent residence in a mobile home community, Briarwood Mobile Home Park, situated at 87 Front St, Shirley, MA 01464, USA, is an option in central Massachusetts. They can be contacted at (978) 582-6612 or +1 978-582-6612 for inquiries. However, it is crucial for prospective residents to be well-informed about the experiences shared by individuals who have lived or interacted with this park.
The online reviews for Briarwood Mobile Home Park present a concerning picture, particularly regarding the park management and the handling of resident issues. Multiple reviews describe negative interactions with the management, specifically naming individuals as being unkind, rude, and disrespectful. These accounts raise serious questions about the level of support and professionalism that potential residents can expect.
One particularly disturbing review details an incident where a tenant's trailer became infested with rats. According to the reviewer, when this issue was brought to the attention of the park manager (identified as Sherry), the tenant was allegedly told to refer to their lease, with the manager quickly citing the relevant page number. This response suggests that rodent problems might not be uncommon at Briarwood. The reviewer further states that when the tenant was bitten by a rat and contacted management again, there was reportedly no concern shown, and the manager allegedly hung up on the tenant multiple times. This lack of empathy and unprofessional behavior is a significant red flag for anyone considering living in this community.
The same review mentions an attempt to contact the trustee, Atty Peter Knox, to obtain owner information. The manager, Sherry, reportedly claimed to have no boss and identified herself as "the boss." However, Atty Peter Knox allegedly stated that he manages the park and is a trustee, while the owners wish to remain anonymous. This situation raises concerns about transparency and accountability within the park's management structure.
The reviewer strongly advises others not to rent at Briarwood, despite its affordability, questioning the "cost" of dealing with the reported management issues and the "rude and ignorant" people encountered. This sentiment is echoed in another review that simply states, "Stay away." These strong warnings should be taken seriously by anyone considering this mobile home park.
Further insights from another reviewer corroborate the negative experiences with management. This review mentions complaints about major bee and hornet nests that were allegedly ignored by the management, indicating a potential lack of attention to safety and pest control issues. The presence of spiders inside the trailers is also noted. Alarmingly, this reviewer also mentions that the management is "very aware of the RAT problem" and that they had been waiting for maintenance for months, despite being disabled and living with a senior citizen mother. This situation highlights a potential disregard for the well-being of vulnerable residents.
The same reviewer identifies another manager (Stefanie) as "the most disrespectful person I've ever spoken with." This consistency in negative feedback across different interactions with park management paints a concerning picture of the overall management culture at Briarwood Mobile Home Park.
There is also mention of the park tearing down old trailers and installing new ones for rent and sale. While this might suggest an effort to upgrade the community, the negative experiences reported by residents regarding management and maintenance overshadow any potential benefits of newer units. The reviewer concludes with a stark warning to potential renters and buyers to "BEWARE!!!!!!"
Interestingly, amidst the overwhelmingly negative reviews, there is a brief, isolated comment stating, "Nice group of people." This suggests that despite the issues with management and maintenance, there might be a friendlier community among some of the residents themselves. However, the significant problems reported with the park's administration could still heavily impact the overall living experience, regardless of the neighborly atmosphere.
Considering the information available, Briarwood Mobile Home Park appears to be a community where affordability might be a factor, but the potential cost could be in the form of dealing with unresponsive, rude, and unhelpful management. Issues such as pest infestations (rats, bees, hornets, spiders) and a lack of maintenance seem to be significant concerns for residents. The apparent lack of transparency regarding ownership and the reported unprofessional behavior of the management are also serious red flags.
For local users searching for 'RV parks near me' who might be drawn to Briarwood due to its location or potential affordability, it is absolutely crucial to proceed with extreme caution. The negative experiences shared by multiple reviewers should not be ignored. Potential residents should consider whether the potential cost savings are worth the risk of dealing with the reported management issues and the associated stress and discomfort.
Before making any decisions, prospective residents should attempt to contact the park management to discuss the issues raised in the reviews and to understand their current policies and procedures for addressing resident concerns, maintenance requests, and pest control. Visiting the park in person to assess the environment and, if possible, speaking with current residents (outside of the presence of management) could provide valuable insights into the day-to-day living experience at Briarwood Mobile Home Park. Given the severity and consistency of the negative feedback, a thorough investigation is strongly recommended.
In conclusion, while Briarwood Mobile Home Park in Shirley, MA, might be an option that appears in searches for 'RV parks near me' for those seeking a more permanent and potentially affordable living situation, the overwhelmingly negative reviews regarding the park management, lack of maintenance, and pest issues should be a major cause for concern. Potential residents are strongly advised to exercise extreme caution, conduct thorough due diligence, and carefully weigh the potential risks against any perceived benefits before considering making Briarwood Mobile Home Park their home.

Briarwood Mobile Home Park Reviews
Manager of park (Sherry) is not a kind person. Rat burrowed inside trailor & tenet was told "read your lease. Page 10", (was pretty quick with the page #) this must not be first problem. It's your responsibility. You live in a single family home. It's a TRAILOR PARK -not a single family home. So... The tenant gets BIT by the rat. Called again to management. No concern what so ever. Hung up 3x's during conversation (or her snarling). After calling the trustee Atty Peter Knox, I was asking for owners information. Sherry said she has no boss, she the boss. Peter Knox says he manages park & is a trustee. Owners want to remain anonymous. Don't rent here. It's affordable, but at what cost. Also, the people you have to deal with are plan rude and ignorant.FYITenant gone. They tore down the trailer (aka single family home). They put in brand new trailer.I guess the rat infested trailer could not be rented.Nice group of people.Stay away.
Jul 12, 2023 · S GThe management is irresponsible for anything that I have complained to them about like major bees/hornets nests. There are spiders all over thein inside of trailer. There also are very aware of the RAT problem. I'm still waiting for a maintenance visit for months. I am disabled and my mother is a senior citizen this is not a place you want to live regardless. Manager(Stefanie) is the most disrespectful person I've ever spoken with. They are tearing down old trailers to rent and sell. All I have to say is renter/buyers BEWARE!!!!!!!
