Camp Landa Resort Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" that offer a blend of recreation and convenience in the heart of New Braunfels, Texas? Camp Landa Resort, situated at 723 N Walnut Ave, New Braunfels, TX 78130, USA, presents itself as a potentially vibrant destination for RV travelers. With phone numbers (830) 312-7195 and +1 830-312-7195, it invites inquiries for those seeking a stay in this popular Texas town known for its rivers and German heritage.
Based on recent customer reviews, Camp Landa Resort offers a mixed experience. One of the standout features, positively highlighted by a visitor, is the "awesome" heated mega pool with a swim-up bar. This amenity appears to be a significant draw, especially for those looking to relax and enjoy the Texas weather, even during cooler months. The same reviewer also appreciated the convenient location of the resort, noting its proximity to downtown New Braunfels and the Comal River, a popular spot for tubing. The "phenomenal" central location allowed easy access to these attractions, enhancing their stay. Furthermore, they enjoyed the views at night of the lights on the hills.
However, other reviews point out some areas where Camp Landa Resort may need improvement. One guest mentioned that while the park appeared new with large spots upon entering, the layout for hookups was inconvenient. The utilities were located in the back of the site, requiring them to unhook their tow rig to access them. This placement also meant their awning couldn't effectively cover the provided table, making it less usable during the hot Texas sun. This is a crucial consideration for travelers seeking comfortable and functional campsite arrangements.
The same review also noted an aesthetic issue upon arrival, mentioning two old RVs at the entrance with "junk laying outside everywhere," which was considered an eyesore. First impressions can significantly impact a guest's experience, and this feedback suggests a potential need for better site management and upkeep at the park's entrance.
Another practical concern raised by a guest was the issue of grass clippings. They suggested that the park should bag the grass after mowing at each site, as their dogs tracked the loose clippings into their RV, creating a mess. This highlights a potential area for improvement in grounds maintenance to enhance the cleanliness and comfort for guests, especially those traveling with pets.
The pool, while praised for being great and heated, also received a suggestion for improvement regarding swimwear regulations. One visitor felt that proper swimwear should be required in a family-friendly environment, as they were uncomfortable with women wearing shorts with see-through shirts and nothing underneath. This feedback indicates a potential need for clearer guidelines to ensure a comfortable and appropriate atmosphere for all guests at the pool area.
Noise levels appear to be another factor to consider at Camp Landa Resort. One reviewer noted "lots of noise with trains" and an overlap of music from the store and the pool, creating a disruptive environment. This is important information for potential guests sensitive to noise and seeking a peaceful retreat.
The availability and cost of certain amenities were also mentioned. The food at the cafe was positively reviewed as "great." However, pickleball enthusiasts should note that equipment for this activity is available for rent, suggesting it's not a complimentary amenity. This is a detail that may influence the decision of guests looking to engage in specific recreational activities.
Finally, one reviewer expressed that, for the price of $110 per night, they did not feel the stay was worth it, citing the aforementioned issues. This suggests that while the resort has appealing aspects, the overall value proposition might be a concern for some, especially when considering the noted inconveniences and noise levels.
In conclusion, Camp Landa Resort offers a prime location in New Braunfels with convenient access to downtown and the Comal River, and its heated mega pool with a swim-up bar is a significant attraction. It appears to be a potentially enjoyable destination, particularly for those who value these features and the central location. However, potential guests should be aware of the reported issues regarding campsite hookup layout, potential aesthetic concerns at the entrance, the need for better grass maintenance, possible noise from trains and overlapping music, and the fact that some recreational equipment is available for rent. The perceived value for the price may also be a point of consideration based on individual expectations and priorities. It is advisable to contact Camp Landa Resort directly at the provided phone numbers to inquire about current rates, site availability, and any recent improvements or policies addressing the concerns raised in the reviews.

Camp Landa Resort Reviews
When entering the park it was new with large spots. Layout was not good for hookups, as you had to unhook tow rig to use utilities since they were located in back. This also ment your awning could not cover table provided so couldn’t really use with the heat of the Texas sun. Also, there was two old rv at entrance that had junk laying outside every where which was an eyesore entering. They should bag grass their grass at site since the dogs brought it into rv making it a big mess to clean. The pool was great! Nice and heated so very enjoyable. I would say they should require proper swimwear since it’s family friendly. Women wearing shorts with see through shirt and nothing underneath was a big turn off.Lots of noise with trains. Then music from store and pool over lapping each other was a lot to have to take in.The food at cafe was great! Had to actually rent pickleball equipment if you wanted to use.For the price of $110 a night I don’t feel it was worth it.
Apr 13, 2025 · TyannaOur first visit here as Winter Texans before heading home to MN and we loved our stay. We had an awesome site and patio near the pool. And we loved the heated mega pool with the swim up bar. Being right in the middle of town was also phenomenal. Loved being close to downtown and the Comal River which we tubed on. And the views at night to the lights on the hills to the SW and south we're gorgeous. Great place to stay that we highly recommend and have recommended to our Facebook friends and family.
Mar 17, 2025 · Andy FashantWe had the best stay at Camp Landa! The staff was phenomenal and extremely accommodating. They answered all 100 of my questions before our stay & did everything with a smile while we were there. Bingo was a hit with our boys and they had really neat prizes from their camp store. Free coffee in the morning and we ordered lunch from their menu at the pool each day! Order the sweet potato fries!!!Our kids were sad to leave but we assured them we’d be back!
Mar 17, 2025 · Ashley PaulThe best thing about this resort is the pool! Wow, it's beautiful and so warm! It's just a bummer they didn't bother putting in a hot tub 😕. Especially for the price of the resort. The staff that work there are very friendly and accommodating. They have all the other amenities that you would expect from a resort for this price range of around $85 a night.
