Somerset Resort & Campground Reviews
Beautiful area with some gorgeous modern clamping spots and cabins. The cabin we stayed at was the Luna cabin (#14) and was perfect. It has a fire pit outside with chairs, grilling utensils for making s’mores and burgers and you can buy fire wood and fire starters at the central community spot. I think our favorite part was how quiet it was. The lighting in the cabin is gorgeous with the big windows. And the size of the kitchen, bed, couch etc. is very thoughtful and perfect for two people. Just bring a board game, a book, some stuff to grill and maybe a dvd player to hook up to the TV with some library DVDs and you’ll have a lovely weekend.
Mar 09, 2025 · LangstonWhat a wonderful winter escape! My husband, 4 year old and I were able to take some time to ourselves and regroup as a family. We chose Somerset Resort and Campground. The inside of our modern tiny home was aesthetically pleasing while comfortable and very clean. We walked into a warm living room when we first arrived which was a delight as it was extremely cold. The kitchen is perfectly stocked with all the items needed to cook and coffee was provided! Our daughter was enchanted to find the shower in the bathroom and she promptly got in and proceeded to sing in the shower for 20 mins. The bedroom was spaced out and allowed three people to move around easily as well as a large closet with iron and ironing board. The next day we decided to explore the surrounding area. We visited Flight 93 National Memorial, Remember Me Rose Garden and Flight 93 Chapel. These were emotionally charged locations where we thanked God for all the heroes who sacrificed their lives and mourned for all those who lost their lives. We took some time to go to explore different lookouts and found the James W. McIntyre Trail but it was too cold to hike far with our daughter. We discovered a lovely shop called Snida’s Cornerstore near Indian Lake and ate a delicious pizza. We arrived back at the campground and enjoyed the playground! There was a gorgeous outside bathroom and shower house that I wish was in my house. It was stocked with anything you could need. We hope to return when it is warmer weather to further appreciate all that is available.Thank you for allowing us this luxurious opportunity.
Dec 04, 2024 · Danielle SalingerI recently traveled over three hours from Washington, DC, to experience the magic of Somerset Resort Campground, and it was worth every minute! From start to finish, Jenika was an absolute gem. She walked us through the entire check-in process with such care, especially since we had only glamped before but in much larger spaces. She also helped us navigate the booking process when we noticed the website’s pricing wasn’t accurate. The pods are absolutely stunning—modern, cozy, and beautifully designed. However, we noticed there weren’t many cabin reservations that weekend, so we decided to upgrade to the Luna. Let me just say, it was a dream come true! The Luna offered more than enough space and every comfort we could have imagined. The beds were heavenly, ensuring we slept like royalty throughout our stay.Jenika made the transition seamless and truly went above and beyond to ensure our experience was nothing short of perfect. Her professionalism and kindness made all the difference. Thank you, Jenika, for your outstanding service! We had an incredible stay and can’t wait to come back. Somerset Resort Campground is now our go-to destination, and we’re already recommending it to all our friends and family.Kayla & Mase
Nov 17, 2024 · kayla greenSomerset resort is amazing!! It’s unlike any other campground that I’ve been to, it’s more like a boutique resort with beautiful cabins and the location is stunning! The Aframe #12 has a beautiful view and the most amazing wood fired hot tub ever ♥️ I’ll be visiting again and again!!
Nov 19, 2024 · Matt MesheyOur family had an amazing experience at Somerset Resort. The setting is so peaceful and serene! We stayed in one of the log cabins which fit our little family perfectly. They included everything we needed including a Breeo fire pit with a grill grate to cook our food on. We hiked the Allegheny Passageway that crosses the beautiful Salisbury Viaduct and also visited the Flight 93 memorial. We love the memories we are creating here with our family!
