North Bay Shore Campground Reviews
One of the best campgrounds I've found for relaxation! Very laid back & quiet! Been there 5 times & never had a complaint! Will definitely be going back again!
Apr 22, 2025 · Amy BrandtGreat Campground! Super clean, quiet and very peaceful. We had a waterfront site and it was great to be able to fish on our site! Bath houses were very clean and well taken care of. All the staff and owner were very nice and answered any questions we had. Renting a canoe for my wife and I to go fishing was a huge plus! Location is great because it’s close to beach access only 10 minutes away and 30 minutes from all other attractions in and around Virginia Beach. With that being said it’s also far enough away from everything be able to come back and relax! Definitely will be going back!
Aug 31, 2024 · Tyler RodgersBeen coming for years love this lil gem of a place. It has always been one of my favorite places to stay in va beach. Not on beach but convenient location to about everything just min from the beach, places to eat ,and food Lion store. We always stayed in cabin and until a year ago never had a problem with them booking and changing bookings but made the mistake of paying in full last year for our hole stay. Called in morning made reservations for 4days to arrive the next day but a emergency happened kid in hospital sick couldn't make it so called to see what could be done. Where we was informed because we paid in full they was going to be keeping the full amount and not just the $20 down payment for the reservation because cancelion was with 48 hour but tryed explaining the booking and cancelled was all done in 24 hours that it was a complete emergency and that could they at least let us rebook another time just take the $20 off for this trip cancellation fee I was told there was nothing they could do just my loss. I do get it was my bad lesson learned never will pay in full ever again here. like I said we say maybe 3 to4 times a year so was ever heartbreaking that was just a compliment loss to us almost made me nere return but like I said I love the place allways been good to us other then that so we did come back and this summer for the first time will be trying out our camper here
Jan 08, 2025 · Pam WhiteSecond time for me. A nice quiet off the beaten path campground. Its surrounded by canals. Its on the edge of a swamp and a national wildlife refuge. Its nice to just sit outside and listen to the birds and the waterfowl. On the main road in you might even see deer and wild turkeys. Easy to book online. Clean facilities to use from showers to laundry room. The firewood delivery is a great thing to get. They deliver to your site even if your not there so there is no waiting or signing of delivery. Just go to the office, pay for it and it will be delivered when they can.
Sep 25, 2024 · Harry LaberPerfect for kayakers! We came here for tent camping and had a wonderful time. The tent sites are kind of close together, but they seem to space people out when booking. The bathhouse was clean with warm water. You can kayak straight to the tent sites. I notice comments about mosquitos and it didn't seem any worse than anywhere else near water during the summer. We brought citronella and spray and fared pretty well. It's not too far from stores and restaurants if you need anything or want to grab a bite to eat.The draw backs weren't too bad of issues for us personally, but I feel like they should be pointed out just for the sake of the review. It seems to be on some sort of military flight path. There's planes and helicopters overhead often. Second draw back for the tent sites in particular, was you're right by the boat launch. We greeted some fishermen going out to the bay fairly early. While they were quiet and respectful, you can only be so quiet getting a boat in the water.Again, the drawbacks were easily overlooked for us. We will definitely be back when looking for camping in the area.
