Holiday Trav-L-Park Introduce
For local residents of Virginia Beach and those searching within the "camping near me" category for a nearby campground, Holiday Trav-L-Park, located at 1075 General Booth Blvd, Virginia Beach, VA 23451, USA, has received overwhelmingly negative feedback in recent customer reviews. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview based solely on the provided user experiences, highlighting significant concerns that local users should carefully consider before making a decision.
Based on the available reviews, the environment of Holiday Trav-L-Park is described as significantly subpar. One reviewer stated it was "probably one of the most disgusting campgrounds I've ever stayed at." This paints a concerning picture of the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the grounds. Specific issues mentioned include "squirrels getting in trash and it was everywhere," indicating a potential problem with waste management and its impact on the environment. The observation that staff drove by but did not pick up the trash further exacerbates these concerns, suggesting a lack of attention to basic cleanliness. Such conditions can detract significantly from the enjoyment of any outdoor stay and may even pose health risks. Local users prioritizing a clean and well-maintained environment when searching for "camping near me" should take these accounts seriously.
The services and facilities at Holiday Trav-L-Park also appear to be severely lacking, according to the reviews. One camper reported that "only one bathroom open" and described it as "FILTHY." Limited and unsanitary restroom facilities are a major issue for any campground and can greatly impact the comfort and hygiene of guests. Additionally, the closure of the "Cafe" further reduces the available services within the park, potentially inconveniencing campers who rely on such amenities for meals or refreshments. These service limitations, coupled with the cleanliness issues, suggest a significant lack of attention to basic guest needs. Local users seeking campgrounds with adequate and well-maintained facilities under the "camping near me" category may find Holiday Trav-L-Park falling short of expectations.
The features of Holiday Trav-L-Park, as described by recent visitors, are predominantly negative. The trash scattered throughout the campground and the limited, filthy bathroom are significant drawbacks. Furthermore, the experience of one camper was severely impacted by noise disturbances, including "people fought from 11:20 pm until well after midnight cursing screaming" on two consecutive nights, along with "dogs barking both nights." Such noise levels can severely disrupt sleep and the overall peace and quiet expected in a campground setting. This lack of noise control and security is a serious concern for local users looking for a relaxing and safe "camping near me" experience.
Customer service at Holiday Trav-L-Park is also a major point of contention. One reviewer recounted having the "worse and rudest owner of a business I have ever had to encounter." This is a severe indictment of the management and their interaction with guests. The reviewer further alleged that the owner was "even keep removing any post off of their fb page and blocked me from posting that relates to the encounter I had here because it exposes the truth about this place." Such actions, if accurate, indicate a lack of transparency and a refusal to address customer complaints. This reported behavior should be a significant red flag for local users considering this campground, as it suggests a potentially hostile and unhelpful management.
Promotional information is notably absent from the provided reviews. Instead, the consistent negative feedback acts as a strong deterrent. The lack of any positive comments regarding the environment, services, features, or the overall experience means that there are no promotional aspects to highlight. The strong recommendations to "DO NOT RECOMMEND" this campground and the sentiment of never giving "another penny of my money to support people like this" serve as powerful anti-promotional messages for local users searching for "camping near me." The reviewer who stated they would give "no stars or negative stats" if possible underscores the severity of their dissatisfaction.
The negative experiences described by multiple reviewers paint a concerning picture of Holiday Trav-L-Park. The issues with cleanliness, limited and unsanitary facilities, noise disturbances, and reportedly rude management suggest a campground that fails to provide a positive or even acceptable camping experience. Local users looking for a reliable and enjoyable "camping near me" option in Virginia Beach will likely want to consider these firsthand accounts very carefully.
Given the overwhelmingly negative feedback, it is difficult to find any redeeming qualities to recommend Holiday Trav-L-Park to local users. The issues raised are fundamental to a positive camping experience, including cleanliness, safety, quiet enjoyment, and respectful customer service. The absence of any positive reviews in the provided data further reinforces the need for caution. Local campers exploring "camping near me" should be aware of these serious concerns and may want to explore alternative campgrounds in the Virginia Beach area that have received more positive feedback regarding these essential aspects.
In conclusion, based on the recent customer reviews, Holiday Trav-L-Park in Virginia Beach appears to be a campground with significant issues related to cleanliness, facilities, noise, and customer service. Local users searching for "camping near me" are strongly advised to consider these negative experiences and potentially seek alternative campgrounds in the area that offer a more satisfactory and enjoyable stay. The provided information serves as a cautionary tale for those looking for a reliable and pleasant camping experience close to home.

Apr 04, 2025 · Jackie Buentello1,000 a month. This place is a disgusting mess with the most noise pollution I've ever experienced. Low flying jets every 15 mins some days. Their amenities are broken and 2 of their bathrooms are closed. The #2 bathroom is unbearable to be in, the stench is so bad I truly almost vomited. Sites are very unleveled to the point your tanks don't empty properly.
Dec 19, 2024 · ClaireDecent place to go in the winter because of the concrete supersites. Good power but really low water pressure. Muddy with lots of standing water but most campgrounds do in the winter. People in the office were really helpful. Sadly indoor pool was not working. Really sweet cat in campstore. Good discounts on supersites in the winter.

Music going till well after 1am, gas powered golf carts running around all night with no lights and under age drivers. No sense having rules if your not gonna enforce them
