However, it's important to consider all aspects of the provided feedback to form a comprehensive understanding of Camp Nelson RV Park. One review mentions access to the park by foot via a barricaded bridge over the Kentucky River. This might be a factor to consider depending on your mode of transportation and any mobility concerns. The same review also notes the presence of poison ivy and graffiti in certain areas. While the pool is described as clean, the reviewer also mentions "depressed buildings" with no apparent improvements, and a water sanitation plant seemingly in need of upgrades and inspections. Additionally, the presence of only one thin boat ramp and general clutter are noted.
It appears that Camp Nelson RV Park offers a mixed experience. On one hand, it provides a quiet and clean environment with helpful staff and access to a nearby swimming hole, appealing to those seeking a peaceful retreat. On the other hand, certain aspects of the infrastructure and surrounding areas may require attention. Camp Nelson RV Park Reviews
Great place to visit and either camp or drive/tow your RV to. This pla e is a hidden gem that is quiet, clean, and never packed with campers, travelers, and sucb. There are showers, bathrooms, plenty of room to walk around. There are a lot of places to go and explore. There is a swimming hole about 5 minutes from there. You need to see Trudie who will take care of you. See pictures for the swimming hole.
Aug 14, 2024 · Cesar MolinaAccess by foot via barricaded bridge over the Kentucky River. Poison ivy abounds. Graffiti abounds. Pool appears clean. Depressed buildings are visible with no "healing" in site. Water sanitation plant is in need of upgrades and sanitation inspections. One thin boat ramp present. Clutter abounds. One side is in need of a building demolition and the other side is a cul de sac of RV trailers on a clean area road.
Jul 23, 2024 · T CloonanFriendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed 2023 Memorial Day Weekend. You might have enjoyed the DJ at the pool more than we did but they shut down at 10 PM quiet hours. Nice pool. Like most campgrounds in the USA most campsites look to be permanent full time or seasonal residents. Still they made room for us over the holiday weekend. Full hookups but our sewer connection was 40 feet from the camper so my hoses didn't reach. Campground very far off the Interstate. Try to stay on the US Highways getting there. Google Maps led us on some County roads that were scary towing a travel trailer. Overall we were very pleased but probably too far off the Interstate for us to go there again. Oh, and there was a herd of goats on the road just outside the campground. Not an everyday sight, not loose roaming the roadside.
May 30, 2023 · Larry From WisconsinStay away from this park. If you ever watched the movie Deliverance or Bates motel that is what it looked like. If we didn't Have to stay there we would have high tailed it out of there. We were actually scared.
