Cherokee Cove RV Park Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" in Alabama, particularly in the Centre area, perhaps for a longer-term stay with a welcoming community atmosphere and proximity to recreational activities? Consider Cherokee Cove RV Park, located at 4205 County Rd 22, Centre, AL 35960, USA. Based on the available reviews, this smaller RV park offers a blend of affordability, essential amenities, and a strong sense of community, although there are some points to consider regarding maintenance and responsiveness.
When looking for "RV parks near me," understanding the specific characteristics and atmosphere of a park is crucial. Cherokee Cove RV Park is described by one reviewer as a "nice little park" close to the lake, making it an appealing option for those interested in relaxing, fishing, and swimming. Given its location in Centre, Alabama, the nearby lake is likely Weiss Lake, a well-known recreational area offering extensive opportunities for water-based activities and scenic enjoyment.
One of the standout features highlighted in the reviews is the strong sense of community among the residents. One long-term guest who stayed for approximately two months described the people in the park as "wonderful" and the owners as "amazing" who became friends. This suggests a friendly and supportive environment where neighbors look out for each other, which can be particularly comforting for those seeking a longer-term "RV park near me" where a sense of belonging is valued. The reviewer even mentioned that it felt like a safe place to stay where people were willing to help each other out, further emphasizing the positive community aspect.
In terms of amenities, Cherokee Cove RV Park offers clean laundry facilities and clean bathrooms, which are essential for a comfortable long-term stay. Knowing that these basic necessities are well-maintained is a significant plus when evaluating "RV parks near me," especially for extended visits where access to such facilities is crucial.
However, one reviewer also pointed out areas where the park could improve. While acknowledging that the park offers what you pay for, they suggested that the owner could be more responsive and quicker in addressing maintenance issues on the property and with the residents. Specific concerns raised included the need for a groundskeeper and a dumpster for trash disposal. These comments indicate that while the park has its positives, potential long-term residents should be aware of potential delays in maintenance or upkeep and the current waste management situation.
Despite these concerns, the same reviewer still described Cherokee Cove RV Park as a "nice little RV park" in a great location near the lake for recreational activities. This suggests that the proximity to the lake and the overall peaceful environment might outweigh some of the maintenance-related drawbacks for individuals prioritizing these aspects when searching for "RV parks near me."
The fact that the park is described as "not a BIG park" could be appealing to those who prefer a smaller, more intimate setting compared to larger, more crowded RV resorts. A smaller park might foster a greater sense of community and offer a quieter, more relaxed atmosphere, which aligns with the reviewer's description of it being close to the lake for "relaxing."
Given that one reviewer specifically mentioned it being a "long term stay park," this suggests that Cherokee Cove RV Park caters primarily to individuals and families looking for a more permanent or semi-permanent RV living situation rather than just overnight or short-term stays. This focus on long-term residents could contribute to the strong sense of community noted in the reviews.
To gain a clearer understanding of the services and features offered at Cherokee Cove RV Park, prospective residents should contact the park directly. While the reviews mention laundry and bathroom facilities, it would be important to inquire about other essential services such as water, electricity (and the amperage available at each site), and sewer hook-ups. Understanding what is included in the lot rental fee and what utilities are billed separately is crucial for budgeting, especially for a long-term stay.
When contacting the park, it would also be wise to inquire about the current status of the maintenance concerns raised in the reviews, such as groundskeeping and trash disposal. Asking about the park's plans for addressing these issues could provide valuable insight into the management's responsiveness and commitment to maintaining the property. Additionally, inquire about any rules and regulations for residents, including policies on pets, parking, and landscaping of individual sites.
As no specific promotional information was provided in the reviews, it is essential to ask about the current lot rental rates and any potential discounts for long-term stays. Understanding the pricing structure and any additional fees will help potential residents determine if Cherokee Cove RV Park fits their budget for a long-term "RV park near me."
In conclusion, Cherokee Cove RV Park in Centre, Alabama, offers a smaller, long-term stay community with clean essential amenities and a strong sense of friendliness among residents, conveniently located near the recreational opportunities of the lake (likely Weiss Lake). While there have been mentions of potential improvements needed in terms of maintenance and responsiveness, the positive community atmosphere and the proximity to nature could make it an appealing option for those seeking a longer-term "RV park near me" with a welcoming environment. Direct communication with the park management is recommended to obtain the most up-to-date information on services, features, and pricing, as well as to understand their plans for addressing the maintenance concerns raised by previous residents.

Cherokee Cove RV Park Reviews
For the amount of money that is paid, you get what you pay for. However, i do believe that the owner could be alittle bit more responsive and quicker at getting things taken care of on the property and with the residents (especially the ones that pay their rent every month). It is a nice little park and the amenities are nice as well. Just needs to pay more attention and be more prompt to the cleanliness or malfunctions that occur on the property. In need of groundskeeper and a dumpster to throw away trash. All in all, its a nice little RV park close to the lake for some relaxing, fishing, and some swimming.
Jun 20, 2022 · Shasta SmithOk. It is not a BIG park. There are clean laundry facilities and clean bathroom. This is a long term stay park. I stayed for about 2 months. The people that live in the park are wonderful. The owners were amazing and are now friends. If you need a safe place to stay where people will help you out. This is the place. My experience was wonderful. I likely would have stayed to see the leaves fall if a freeze wasnt coming

Keep everyone's deposits and cut people's electric and water off if they left air conditioner on for their pets while away for the day. Never happened to me but I seen it happen a lot! I did have other residents stealing laundry!
