Clayton Park RV Escape Reviews
I couldn’t wait to give this review, we have been traveling around the country try for the past month, on our way back to Massachusetts, we decided on one last night in the van and a fire. We have not made many reservations along our trip, it’s off season where we were traveling so it was easy to find a place.I decided to head straight for the RV park, it is located not far off the highway, and very quiet. I pulled up to the gate and pressed the call button, a very nice woman answered the call and seemed surprise. I mentioned that we are just off the road and looking for a spot. She hesitated and said yes. We met her husband who showed us to our spot on the water, he was very nice and we chatted for a bit, I then realized they were closed for the season but opened for us. I was so taken back at their hospitality that’s why I could not wait to make this review. The spot was perfect right on the lake, power and a fire pit, he offered us a crate full of firewood, and asked if there was anything we needed. I walked around the beautiful grounds with perfect camping spots on the lake. The lake was full of geese and herin. The next morning we met at the front gate, thanked him for the amazing hospitality.I will be back here again and I recommend anyone traveling through or spend some time here, you can’t go wrong.
Apr 01, 2025 · bostonh2oWe have been full timing for 5 years now and I have to say that this is one of the best parks we have ever ever been at. I cannot say enough good about this park. The managers and all the staff are such sweet people. I have never seen manager working so hard from sun up to sun down seven days a week. The entire park is immaculate! All the staff always have a smile on their face. The store is well stocked and u can even take your pet in for a treat. My husband would sit outside under the tree and fall asleep it was that quiet and relaxing. Even when there were children around. The activities are plentiful from pot lucks to Saturday music from various musicians. Grab ur chair and just go sit by the lake and listen. Thank you so very much Sonja and Maurice for everything you do to make this park beautiful and enjoyable. If we are ever back we will definitely be calling you to book a site.
Aug 20, 2024 · Susan SmithReally enjoyed our stay here. The entire property is well manicured & cared for. The lake view is stunning & it’s just a great way to escape city life.Every spot comes with a fire pit & table. Our specific spot (4) had a huge lawn that we enjoyed with our cat everyday. The pool is also very clean and well maintained. You can tell there’s a lot of passion & pride here. If you can. Definitely swing by.
Aug 01, 2024 · Victoria PoitrasWhat can I say about Clayton Park RV Escape. What a beautiful place, it's set on Lake Henry and whether you're up at 6:00 in the morning like me, or at 12:00. Midnight, like me, the views are stunning.I'm from the United Kingdom we discovered Clayton RV escape by chance. We stayed at Clayton Park on our way to Niagara Falls. After staying at a couple of other RV sites on the way to Niagara we realised Clayton was just exceptional, for its location it's beauty it's tranquility. But most importantly the people, when we first arrived we were welcomed by Mel at the front desk.Mel later introduce us to the owners Maurice and Sonia, the staff and the entire team here are exceptional. They went out of their way to ensure that even for that brief first 18 hours that we stayed here those 18 hours were memorable. So for our return journey we decided to drive all the way back from Niagara to Clayton Park RV escape and spend our last 48 hours in thy US at Clayton Park RV Escape, what a wise choice we made.If on your visit here you are not totally blown away by the location The People The Place the environment, the nature the beauty, I'd be amazed.Well worth the visit.
Aug 28, 2024 · Manoj Ladwaamazing views right on the lake. quite, peacful. staff are super friendly and their always working on improvements. little remote from town and small back roads to get their so use caution if your a big rig. cell service for Verizon is spotty, wifi is good at the park. wish they had cable i couldn't get many over the air channelsUpdate July 30th 2022Sonya & MauriceHave lived and up to there responses since my last post. They have really put labor, love, and finances into this hidden treasure!.I noticed a lot of differant things from last year and it really shows. Starting with the pool which at night time has beautiful colored lighting. Second the transient pull thru sites have hard standing concrete patios!!!! Amazing and no need to put your ground coverings down. Rubber maid picnic tables so no more butt splinters and easy to sanitize. Owners have spent some serious money and added these PA made smokeless fire pit inserts from Breeo!!!. They are super nice and to boot they built paverstone exterior frame for the fire pit. Camp wood is top quality as well.Down by the marina they have bought all new furniture and lighting so day or night it's a great place to relax. Cableboxes are gone Ya!!!! Now the sites are cable ready no more cable boxes to rent . Bathroom are so clean and smell great. All staff are super friendly and courteous. The grounds are maintained beyond the normal maintenance of other campgrounds I have visited. For big rigs no worries they can accommodate you and getting into the park is a breeze with my 13'6 high 44ft fiver with 5 slides. In closing being here is a peaceful and emotional experience. Guests can feel the love that Sonya,Maurice, and there staff have put into it. We travel about every weekend to different rv parks along the east coast from SC to VT and this campground is number 1 on our list. Clayton Escape will be a forever on our list. Please keep up the great work and be proud of what you guys have all accomplished. Clayton Escape is definitely a Bucket List check off.We love ya guys and will see ya real soonFor the Negative comments which I have read. I cannot substantiate their claims, however I can say that I have been RVing all over the country mostly visiting high to low end parks.Clayton is not a low end park just the opposite. Deffinantely is a must stay resort.PSHot tub would be killer!!! Just saying lol!!!Outdoor family movie night down by the lake Pavillion with popcorn would also be a really cool experience. This one rv resort does it and they have a projector screen with speakers popcorn machine and candy byoc. So much fun and also boosts morale for the community at a really I expensive overhead.Another cool idea I experienced was the food truck industry has become pretty popular. You could host your own local food truck war competition and have campers get local culinary experience exclusively here at Clayton Escape!!!! Campers vote for their favorite truck and food!!!!!Ice cream truck to roll around the campground would be fun for the young and old let's face it we are all drawn to those crazy chimes you can hear a mile away!!!!!.The ParkersHudson Valley NY
