Clearwater RV Park Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the Carriere, Mississippi area, Clearwater RV Park, located at 1505 Ceasar Rd, Carriere, MS 39426, USA, presents itself as a potentially quiet and cost-effective option for both short and longer stays. However, it is crucial to consider recent feedback from visitors to gain a comprehensive understanding of the environment, services, and features, as some reviews highlight significant concerns regarding management, amenities, and the overall condition of the park.
The environment at Clearwater RV Park is described by one reviewer as a "nice spot" and "very quiet," which could be appealing to those seeking a peaceful retreat. However, other aspects of the environment have drawn criticism. One guest reported that the owner moved a "huge pile of tree limbs and brush" to the back of their lot and refused to relocate it, creating a nuisance. Additionally, the same reviewer mentioned ongoing "digging ponds with heavy machinery for weeks," resulting in a disruptive and messy environment. Another concern raised is the lack of upkeep, with "some pretty nasty unkept sites mixed in" throughout the park, suggesting inconsistency in the overall maintenance and appearance of the grounds.
In terms of services, Clearwater RV Park appears to offer basic necessities, but there are discrepancies between the website's claims and the reality experienced by guests. One reviewer stated that "there’s no activities or amenities that they state on the website as it is quite old and not updated in 14 years!" This significant discrepancy is a major point of concern for prospective visitors who may be relying on outdated online information. The only amenity specifically mentioned by this reviewer was "a swing!" However, another guest noted the presence of "washer and dryers," indicating that laundry facilities are available. It's evident that relying solely on potentially outdated website information is not advisable, and direct inquiry about current amenities is necessary.
The features of Clearwater RV Park, based on the reviews, are somewhat limited and potentially problematic. One significant issue reported is the lack of tree trimming, which allegedly led to a tree branch falling on a guest's truck and denting it. The management's response was to deny responsibility and state they "could not guarantee our safety!" This raises serious concerns about the park's maintenance practices and their approach to guest safety and liability. While "overflow parking" is mentioned as a feature, one guest experienced getting their vehicle stuck in the mud in this area, and the owner reportedly was unhelpful and rude when assistance was requested. This incident further underscores potential issues with the upkeep of certain areas within the park and the owner's demeanor.
Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the reviews. However, one reviewer mentioned a monthly rate of "$500 a month plus electric which was about $80 bucks," indicating that Clearwater RV Park may offer relatively inexpensive long-term stays. This affordability could be a significant draw for some, but it should be weighed against the potential drawbacks highlighted in other reviews. To obtain the most current information on rates, availability, and any specific promotions, contacting Clearwater RV Park directly at (601) 749-8142 or +1 601-749-8142 is essential. Inquiring about the accuracy of their website's information regarding amenities would also be a prudent step.
The management of Clearwater RV Park is a recurring point of concern in the reviews. Multiple guests described the owner as "rude." One instance involved the owner's unhelpful and dismissive reaction when a guest's vehicle got stuck. Another recounted the owner's refusal to move a large pile of debris and the disruptive pond digging activities. The negative interactions with management reported by multiple independent reviewers are a significant factor that prospective visitors should consider. Positive interactions with park management can greatly enhance the RV park experience, and conversely, rude or unhelpful management can detract significantly from it.
An additional environmental factor mentioned by one reviewer is the presence of "annoying" ducks that can be heard "all day long." While this may not be a major issue for all visitors, those sensitive to noise might find this aspect less appealing. However, the same reviewer also noted that "other then that we enjoyed our stay," indicating that despite some drawbacks, there were still positive aspects to their experience, such as the quiet atmosphere and the affordability.
For those searching for "RV parks near me" in Carriere, MS, Clearwater RV Park offers the potential for a quiet location and budget-friendly monthly rates. However, the recent reviews raise significant concerns regarding the accuracy of online information about amenities, the upkeep of the grounds, the potential for disruptive construction activities, issues with tree maintenance and safety, and notably, the rudeness and lack of helpfulness from the management. Prospective visitors should carefully weigh the affordability and quiet setting against these potential drawbacks and consider contacting the park directly with specific questions and concerns before making a reservation.
In conclusion, while Clearwater RV Park in Carriere, MS, may appeal to those seeking a quiet and inexpensive long-term stay, the recent feedback from guests indicates several areas of concern. The discrepancy between the website's stated amenities and the actual offerings, the reports of unkept sites and safety hazards like falling tree branches, and the multiple accounts of rude and unhelpful management are serious issues that potential visitors should be aware of. It is strongly recommended to contact the park directly for current and accurate information and to carefully consider these recent experiences before choosing Clearwater RV Park for your stay.

Clearwater RV Park Reviews
The management is rude. We were parked about a week when the owner moved a huge pile of tree limbs and brush pushed to the back of the lot and refused to move it. He was digging ponds with heavy machinery for weeks. What a mess! There’s no activities or amenities that they state on the website as it is quite old and not updated in 14 years! They do have a swing! When you drive around you will see some pretty nasty unkept sites mixed in. A tree branch fell on my truck and dented it, when the management was told of what happened they said they are not responsible and could not guarantee our safety! The tree branches are not trimmed and fell quite often on our place.
Apr 09, 2025 · Sheryll MickelsonNice spot. Very quiet. They do have overflow parking. They have washer and dryers. The wifi sucked. The owner could be nicer. Was quite rude to our neighbor which was an 80 year old man. We got stuck in the mud at his overflow parking lot and asked for his help he didn't say a word to me just rolled his eyes. That's why you get 4 stars from me. Be nicer to the people who stay here... It is a cheap place to stay. 500 a month plus electric which was about $80 bucks. The ducks are annoying! You hear them all day long. Other then that we enjoyed our stay. Thanks for having us!
Mar 21, 2024 · MonicaOur new favorite spot! If you want quiet, real quiet, away from it all with full hookups and well groomed grounds this is your place. It’s not fancy, no playgrounds, splash pads or other amenities just a basic, clean, quiet park. Most of the back section is full timers but the front seems to have more short term visitors and it is near the beautiful pond area that has benches and swings around the perimeter. The owner is super helpful and took us to our site but offered us an open shaded one on the way which we took. He helped us back in, whipped out a tape measure to ensure our slides would clear the hookups and offered a water hose if ours didn’t reach (it did but recommend 50’ of water hose at some sites). There is no traffic, no kids or adults racing around on golf carts with music and lights and the ducks are nice! We asked about a restaurant and were guided to a tiny little place about 2 miles away where pretty much everything is fried (we had catfish, fried pork chops, fried jalapeños) and it was tasty. If you want to get away from it all and feel like it, this is the place. We already made two more reservations!
Jul 05, 2022 · Michael LopezWe really enjoyed our stay. It was very clean and absolutely beautiful. Very helpful staff. Would have really loved the spots to have a little more room and about half of the park is permanent/semi-permanent residents but we will be back again and would recommend to others.
Nov 14, 2021 · Amanda D'Agostino BudyachThis park is out in the country. The roads are okay except for a couple of low hanging branches which we dodged. No matter when I called, the owner always answered the phone - which is a nice surprise. When we pulled in no one was in the office but the owner showed up as soon as we called him (see, he still answered his phone :) ). After checking us in, he led us to our site. Good thing as it was a little hairy with some tight turns and a couple of straggling branches. We had a back in site that was a bit tricky to get into, and the owner helped us get it done. We had to park our car sideways to fit it the spot. The sites and interior roads are gravel. There is a fair amount of grass intrusion into the gravel in the sites, and they could be a bit muddy if it rains. Our site was not level but the levelers were able to handle the job. The utilities are in the back so they are a little far away. Sites are close together and most are seasonally occupied. The WII FI was minimally helpful. Verizon was 4g 1-2 bars. Satellite would work in some sites. There is a nice pond with some ducks, and a farm with horses right next door. Except for the occasional souped up truck, it was pretty quiet. We stayed overnight and would stay again.
