Cody's RV Park Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the Spring Hill, Florida area, Cody's RV Park, located at 8588 Ostrom Way, Spring Hill, FL 34613, USA, is one option to consider. They can be reached at (352) 596-6010 or +1 352-596-6010 for inquiries about availability and services. However, it is important to note that recent customer reviews provide a mixed perspective on this RV park, which potential visitors should carefully consider.
One review describes an initial positive experience that later soured. This reviewer mentions that while the first few months were good, they soon perceived inequities among long-term tenants regarding lot rent, suggesting that some tenants may have received preferential treatment. The reviewer also felt like an "outcast" if not part of a perceived "right click" within the park. Furthermore, this review raises concerns about the behavior of some individuals in the park, mentioning "a lot of drinks riding around on golf carts and tractors" and making negative personal comments about the owner and their girlfriend. The reviewer ultimately expressed relief at leaving the park, despite acknowledging that some "good neighbors" were helpful.
Conversely, another review offers a more positive initial impression, describing the people as "very nice" and highlighting a "country setting with low rates and easy back up spaces." These aspects could be appealing to RV travelers seeking a more relaxed and budget-friendly environment with convenient site access. The mention of a country setting suggests a potentially quieter and more rural atmosphere compared to parks located in more urbanized areas.
However, this second reviewer also points out a significant concern regarding the upkeep of individual sites by some permanent residents. They suggest that encouraging permanent residents to clean up their clutter would "make the park look a lot better when walking around." This indicates a potential issue with the overall aesthetic appeal and tidiness of the park due to the accumulation of belongings on some long-term sites. While this reviewer is "all for long term stays" and acknowledges the owner's reasonable rates and generosity in allowing full-time living, they emphasize the negative impact of excessive clutter on the park's appearance, even suggesting that some sites look like they occupy two lots due to the amount of belongings.
Considering these two reviews, Cody's RV Park presents a complex picture for those searching within the "campgrounds near me Spring Hill" category. On one hand, it may offer a country setting, low rates, and easy-to-access sites, with some friendly people. These could be attractive factors for budget-conscious travelers who prefer a more laid-back environment. On the other hand, there are serious allegations of potential management favoritism, a cliquey social atmosphere, concerns about alcohol consumption within the park, and issues with the tidiness of some long-term residents' sites affecting the overall appearance of the park.
For individuals seeking "RV resorts Florida" or considering a longer stay, the potential for social exclusion and perceived unfair treatment by management, as mentioned in the first review, could be significant deterrents. Similarly, the issue of clutter on permanent sites, highlighted in the second review, could detract from the enjoyment of the park's environment for both short-term and long-term visitors.
The lack of information regarding specific services and features in the provided reviews makes it challenging to give a comprehensive overview of what Cody's RV Park offers beyond the setting and the mentioned issues. Typically, RV parks provide essential amenities such as water, sewer, and electric hookups at their sites. Depending on the park, there might also be additional facilities like restrooms, showers, laundry rooms, and possibly recreational amenities such as a pool or common areas. However, the reviews do not provide details about these aspects for Cody's RV Park.
Given the contrasting and concerning feedback, potential visitors to Cody's RV Park should exercise caution and consider their priorities carefully. If a low rate and a country setting are primary concerns, and if one is comfortable potentially navigating the social dynamics described, it might still be an option. However, the allegations of management issues and the visible clutter on some sites are significant drawbacks that could impact the overall quality of the stay.
As there is no promotional information available, this introduction cannot highlight any special offers or incentives. Individuals interested in Cody's RV Park are strongly advised to contact them directly at the provided phone numbers to inquire about current rates, site availability, and the park's policies regarding lot maintenance and guest behavior. It might also be beneficial to seek more recent reviews from other sources to get a broader perspective on the current conditions and management of the park.
In conclusion, Cody's RV Park in Spring Hill, Florida, is presented as a low-rate RV park in a country setting with easy back-in sites and reportedly friendly people. However, potential visitors should be aware of serious concerns raised in customer reviews regarding potential management favoritism, a cliquey social atmosphere, and issues with clutter on long-term residents' sites affecting the park's appearance. While the low rates and setting might be appealing to some, the reported negative aspects warrant careful consideration and further investigation before making a decision to stay at Cody's RV Park when searching for "RV parks near me" in the Spring Hill area.

Cody's RV Park Reviews
First few months good but soon realized most of long term tenants didn’t have to pay lot rent if you kissed the owners behind. Loved it at the beginning but soon relized if your not in right click then your an outcast! A lot of drinks riding around on golf carts and tractors. Owners girlfriend is a “Barbie want to be alcoholic “ the owner was nice when he not drunk or on his high pedestal! Should get his balls out of his girlfriend’s purse. Not a good business man! So glad to be out of there. A couple of good neighbors helped out tho!
May 11, 2024 · Dawn AndersonVery nice people and a country setting with low rates and easy back up spaces. I do suggest making the permanent residents clean up their clutter it would make the park look alot better when walking around. I'm all for long term stays but keep ur area clean. Especially when the owner already has very reasonable rates and is generous enough to let u live here full time. The people I've met are friendly, I just don't think it's cool to clutter ur spot so.much it looks like u have 2 lots
Jul 08, 2024 · Nikki SmithI can say enough how GREAT the park and owners are! After Hurricane Ian destroyed my home I decided to take my camper North. I made a reservation at Mary's Fish Camp online and the took my deposit. When I got there the next day they told me they were closed and wouldn't take me in!!! Jeff and Kim at Cody's welcomed me (and 4 dogs!) with open arms!!!! I will NEVER forget their generosity and support at a very difficult time for me and my neighbor. Thank you Jeff and Kim!!!!!!! I will return someday soon for some relaxation this time :)
Oct 13, 2022 · Gail FursethWhat a gem of a place. My husband and I were impacted by Hurricane Idalia, and were looking for a place to park our Travel Trailer for a few nights. After numerous calls to local RV parks, with no results, I called Cody's and spoke to Jeff, the owner. Not only did he give us a place to stay, at no charge, his wife Kim also brought us a care package! The park is a whimsical, beautiful park, with many amenities. A beautiful lake with a new dock, nice bath houses, and laundry room.I really hate to leave, and we plan on returning when we can.
Aug 31, 2023 · Kimberly WalkerWe recently stayed at Cody's for 9 days during the end of April-May 2023. We couldn't be more pleased with the friendly owners, staff, and the permanent residents. We were welcomed and checked on often. We loved the walk around the park and the fenced in area to walk our dogs. We will be staying here again on our next visit.Bob & Shari
