Country Dogs RV Park Introduce
For RV travelers seeking "RV parks near me" in the Starkville, Mississippi area, Country Dogs RV Park, located at 756 Old Curtis Chapel Rd, presents itself as an option for both short-term and potentially longer stays. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of the park, synthesizing both positive and negative feedback from recent customers to give prospective visitors a balanced understanding of what to expect.
The environment at Country Dogs RV Park elicits mixed reactions. On the positive side, one reviewer noted that their "stay was wonderful and quiet!", indicating a peaceful atmosphere that many RVers seek for relaxation. Another also highlighted that the campground is "Small" and "near both n/s and e/w freeways," suggesting a convenient location for travelers passing through, offering easy access to major routes. The mention of "The Rv space was very level and easy to get in and out of" is a significant positive for RV owners, as level sites simplify setup and contribute to a more comfortable stay.
However, concerns were raised regarding the upkeep of the park's environment. The same reviewer who enjoyed the quiet atmosphere also stated, "However the place was not up kept very well." This sentiment was reinforced by a specific observation: "I personally cleaned the laundry/bath house my self because no one came in and done it." This indicates a potential issue with the cleanliness and maintenance of shared facilities. Furthermore, the presence of "a ton of nasty old wood with termites and piled high" right next to a spot suggests areas of neglect in the park's grounds, which could detract from the overall aesthetic and potentially pose concerns regarding pests.
In terms of services and features, the reviews offer some insights. The availability of "The laundry/bath house" indicates that essential amenities are present, although their cleanliness and maintenance seem to be a concern, as noted by the guest who felt compelled to clean them. The mention of "full hookups" is implied by the nature of an RV park, though not explicitly detailed in all reviews, the ease of getting in and out of level sites suggests standard RV infrastructure. The fact that the park "Accepts Passport America" is a significant promotional feature for many RV travelers, as Passport America typically offers a 50% discount on nightly rates, making it a more budget-friendly option for those with a membership.
A key positive highlighted in one review is the owner. "The owner Roger, is a great guy and very friendly." This personal touch from the owner can significantly enhance a guest's experience, providing a welcoming and approachable atmosphere. This friendly demeanor is a valuable asset and contributes positively to the park's overall impression.
However, a major concern arises regarding communication and customer service, particularly for longer-term stays. A guest who stayed for 2.5 months for work reported that "The owners will not give me a receipt for our stay ive asked 5 times and they will not give me one won’t return any Messages etc!" This lack of responsiveness and unwillingness to provide a receipt, especially for a long-term guest who paid for time they didn't even use, is a serious customer service issue. This experience suggests potential difficulties in administrative matters and communication with park management, which could be frustrating for guests, particularly those requiring documentation for work or personal records. The fact that the guest left 1.5 weeks early without asking for a refund but still couldn't get a receipt highlights a significant breakdown in communication.
While specific promotional information is limited to the acceptance of Passport America, this is a substantial draw for many RVers. For those passing through and looking for a cost-effective overnight stay, this feature can be highly beneficial. However, prospective guests should be mindful of the reported issues with park upkeep and administrative communication, especially for longer durations.

The stay was wonderful and quiet! However the place was not up kept very well. I personally cleaned the laundry/bath house my self because no one came in and done it. Right next to our spot had a ton of nasty old wood with termites and piled high.We were in town for work and stayed at the park for 2.5 months we left 1.5 week before our stay was up and paid for. We did not ask for any type of refund for the time we paid and did not stay. The owners will not give me a receipt for our stay ive asked 5 times and they will not give me one won’t return any Messages etc!
Jul 20, 2021 · Destinee NealSmall campground near both n/s and e/w freeways. The owner Roger, is a great guy and very friendly. The Rv space was very level and easy to get in and out of. Accepts passport America. Highly recommend when passing through the area.
Jul 04, 2019 · G G (G3)RV sites are large, mostly full time RVer's. Stayed in a 40 ft 5th wheel. Grass could use some cutting. Would probably stay again if out this way. Don't care too much for the Mississippi bugs, ants.
