Creek Locks Mobile Home Park Introduce
Are you currently searching for a residential community in the Bloomington, New York area? Your search might include platforms listed under the category "RV parks near me." While this category often features temporary accommodations for recreational vehicles, it can also encompass mobile home parks that offer a more permanent and community-oriented living arrangement. Creek Locks Mobile Home Park, located at 1174 Creek Locks Rd, Bloomington, NY 12411, USA, is one such community that may be of interest to those looking for a long-term residence in Ulster County.
Creek Locks Mobile Home Park is described by one long-term resident of seven years as a "Great Family owned for years kind of place." This suggests a stable and potentially close-knit community with a history of family ownership, which can often translate to a more personal and invested approach to management. The resident initially rented and then decided to buy within the park due to the established "rules and regulations." This highlights a key feature of Creek Locks Mobile Home Park: a structured environment with rules intended to promote respect, courtesy among neighbors, and the consistent maintenance of individual lots.
The same reviewer also appreciates the presence of "speed bumps for the privately owned roads" within the park, noting that these are important for slowing down drivers and ensuring the safety of children who live in the neighborhood and enjoy activities such as riding bikes and power wheels. This indicates a consideration for the well-being of families and children within the community.
However, another review presents a contrasting perspective, describing the park as feeling like "living in an old old folk mobile home" with significant restrictions on outdoor play for children. This reviewer states that "kids are not allowed to really play outside," and activities such as having a "little pool" or even freely riding bikes are reportedly prohibited. While acknowledging that the park is "very clean" and "very tidy," with owners who "make sure no one is out of line" and a generally "very quiet" and "beautiful" environment, this reviewer expresses concern that the rules are too restrictive for children, preventing them from enjoying typical outdoor childhood activities. The sentiment is that while the park is not "bad at all," the rules should be adjusted to allow for more children's play.
Considering these two reviews, Creek Locks Mobile Home Park appears to be a community that highly values order, cleanliness, and respect for neighbors, as evidenced by its established rules and regulations. This emphasis on a quiet and well-maintained environment may appeal to residents seeking a peaceful and orderly living situation. The family ownership could contribute to a more personal touch in the management and a stronger sense of community for those who appreciate a structured setting.
However, prospective residents with children should carefully consider the reported restrictions on outdoor play. The contrasting review suggests that the strict rules aimed at maintaining peace and order may extend to limiting activities typically enjoyed by children in residential neighborhoods. This could be a significant factor for families with young children who value outdoor playtime.
While specific details about the services and features offered by Creek Locks Mobile Home Park are not extensively available online, we can infer some common aspects of mobile home parks and the implications of the reviews:
- Lot Rentals: Residents likely own their manufactured homes and lease the land (lot) from the park management, given that one reviewer mentioned buying after initially renting. Understanding the lot rental fees and what they include is important.
- Road Maintenance: The presence of speed bumps indicates that the park management maintains the private roads within the community.
- Rules and Regulations Enforcement: The reviews highlight a strong emphasis on enforcing rules related to neighborly conduct and lot maintenance, as well as restrictions on children's outdoor play. Prospective residents should inquire about the full set of rules and regulations.
- Cleanliness and Tidiness: Both reviews acknowledge the park's cleanliness and the owners' attention to maintaining order.
- Quiet Environment: The park is described as "very quiet," which may be appealing to those seeking a peaceful living situation.
- Family Ownership: The mention of long-term family ownership suggests a potentially stable and consistent management approach.
The location in Bloomington, NY, offers a setting in Ulster County, which is known for its natural beauty and proximity to the Catskill Mountains and the Hudson Valley. Bloomington is a smaller community that likely offers a more rural or suburban feel, potentially appealing to those seeking a quieter lifestyle away from larger urban centers. Residents of Creek Locks Mobile Home Park would likely benefit from the surrounding natural environment and the access to outdoor recreational opportunities in the region.
To gain a comprehensive understanding of Creek Locks Mobile Home Park and address the points raised in the reviews, prospective residents should contact the management directly by phone at (518) 895-8506 or +1 518-895-8506. Key questions to ask include:
- Lot Availability and Fees: Are there currently any vacant lots available? What are the monthly lot rental fees, and what services are included? Are there any additional fees or charges?
- Park Rules and Regulations: Obtain a complete copy of the park's rules and regulations, paying close attention to any restrictions on outdoor activities, particularly for children.
- Management Policies: Inquire about the management's approach to enforcing rules and addressing resident concerns.

In conclusion, Creek Locks Mobile Home Park in Bloomington, NY, offers a family-owned community with a strong emphasis on rules and regulations aimed at maintaining a respectful, courteous, clean, and quiet environment. Creek Locks Mobile Home Park Reviews
Been here 7 years now. Great Family owned for years kind of place. First I rented, then I bought because of the rules and regulations. The rules are suppose to allow people to respect and be courteous of their neighbors in the community by also making sure they maintain their lots. I am glad they have the speed bumps for the privately owned roads to slow drivers down as there are children living in the neighborhood riding bikes, power wheels etc..
Aug 06, 2022 · Christine HarrisonWell to be honest it's like living in an old old folk mobile home kids are not allowed to really play outside children can't have a little pool nothing but I will say it is very clean very tidy the owners make sure no one is out of line the place is very quiet it's beautiful actually it's not bad at all it's just they should have been the rules a little bit allow a child in a little pool or allowed to get to play outside because they're not even allowed to really ride their bikes or nothing it's pretty sad when children can't be children and go outside and play
