Creekside of Hamlin Introduce
Located in the town of Hamlin, New York, Creekside of Hamlin offers a residential community at 1 Farmingdale Dr, Hamlin, NY 14464, USA. For individuals exploring options within the platform category of "RV parks near me," while Creekside of Hamlin primarily serves as a permanent residential community for mobile homes, its reputation as a "fantastic community to live in" with a "very family friendly environment" and attentive staff may appeal to those seeking a welcoming and well-maintained longer-term living situation. However, a detailed account from a prospective resident also highlights potential challenges in the application process, which should be carefully considered.
One resident enthusiastically describes Creekside of Hamlin as a "fantastic community to live in" with a "very family friendly environment." This positive feedback underscores the potential for a strong sense of community and a welcoming atmosphere for families. The reviewer also praises the "great" office staff and "fantastic" maintenance crew, indicating a well-managed park where residents feel supported. A specific example of the maintenance crew plowing a resident's driveway during a major snowstorm while they were away further exemplifies their dedication and service-oriented approach. This level of care and attention can significantly enhance the living experience within the community.
However, a contrasting and detailed account from a prospective resident outlines a significantly challenging experience attempting to move into Creekside of Hamlin. This narrative spans several months and details a series of complications, beginning with the requirement that the prospective residents' existing house be leased out before they could apply for a trailer in the park. The timeline stretched from November to early April, with the prospective residents needing to vacate their house by May 1st. Despite assurances from multiple individuals at Creekside that there would be "absolutely no problems getting in," the experience proved to be far from smooth.
The prospective residents had selected a trailer and placed a deposit on it. However, months later, they were contacted about a "completely different trailer that wasn’t even finished being built" because the trailer they had initially chosen had been sold. The salesperson they had been primarily in contact with was reportedly deployed to the army and had apparently not communicated accurate information regarding the availability of the chosen trailer. Despite this setback, the prospective residents viewed the alternative trailer and found they liked it even better.
Subsequently, the mother's application for the new trailer was denied due to student loans, despite her working full-time as a registered nurse and earning what was described as "very good money." The prospective resident expressed disappointment and questioned the logic of denying an accomplished professional while seemingly allowing younger individuals in different professions to move in. This account raises concerns about the application criteria and the consistency of its application.
The prospective resident concluded by expressing overall disappointment with their experience, from the selling of the initial trailer to the denial of the application for what they perceived as an insufficient reason. They noted that while the homes and community appeared beautiful, the process of trying to move in was a "rough road" and served as a warning to others. It is important to consider this detailed negative experience alongside the positive feedback regarding the community and staff.
The location of Creekside of Hamlin in Hamlin, New York, offers a setting within Monroe County. Hamlin is a town located on the shore of Lake Ontario, providing a more rural and potentially scenic environment. Residents of Creekside of Hamlin can likely enjoy the quieter pace of life associated with a smaller town while still having access to local amenities and services in Hamlin and nearby areas.
For those considering a move to Creekside of Hamlin, the positive review suggests a family-friendly community with a responsive and helpful staff, which can contribute significantly to a positive living experience. The maintenance crew's proactive service is a notable highlight. However, the detailed negative experience serves as a cautionary tale regarding the application process and communication. Prospective residents should be prepared to navigate the application process carefully and ensure clear and consistent communication with the management regarding availability, requirements, and timelines.
To gain a comprehensive understanding of Creekside of Hamlin, it is crucial for interested parties to contact the park directly at (585) 964-2434 or +1 585-964-2434. Speaking with the office staff can provide up-to-date information on lot availability, application procedures, lease terms, community rules and regulations, and any specific amenities offered. It would also be prudent to inquire about the application criteria and the process for securing a home within the community, keeping in mind the detailed experience shared by the prospective resident.
In conclusion, Creekside of Hamlin in Hamlin, New York, appears to be a community that is well-regarded by at least one current resident for its family-friendly environment and the attentiveness of its office and maintenance staff. However, a detailed account from a prospective resident highlights significant challenges and disappointments related to the application process and communication. Potential residents should weigh these contrasting perspectives and thoroughly investigate the current processes and policies by contacting the management directly to make an informed decision about whether Creekside of Hamlin is the right fit for their needs.

Creekside of Hamlin Reviews
Fantastic community to live in. Very family friendly environment. The office staff is great and maintenance crew is fantastic. I was gone during a major snow storm and the maintenance crew plowed my driveway for me before I came back home so I wouldn’t get stuck in the middle of the road.
Feb 19, 2025 · Tom HartterSince november we’ve been in contact with creekside. It’s been a longg road. So i’ll start from the beginning. My mother and I live in the city. We have family and friends in hamlin and used to live there. Me personally have always felt like home there. So, me and my mom made a plan. Her friend had been looking for a place to live, we wanted to move, so we got in contact with him and decided to lease our house out to him. Now creekside wouldn’t let us apply for a trailer until our house was leased out. It was about the middle of March maybe early march when the lease was officially signed and done. It’s now beginning of April and we have to be out of our house by May 1st. Creekside knew about our situation months ago. Different people from creekside told us multiple times we would have absolutely no problems getting in. We were so very excited. Told all my friends and family. Went to visit a bunch of trailers multiple times. Now, a few months ago we had decided on a trailer. We put our deposit on one. Then a few months later (as of last month) we hadn’t received any news back from one of the creekside sales people we had been in contact with the whole time. We get a call from someone else asking if we would still like *completely different trailer that wasn’t even finished being built that we had never seen before* we were confused considering that’s not what we put our deposit on. Come to find out our trailer was SOLD. Yep. Because the guy we were in contact with was deployed to the army and had been contacting us occasionally acting as if he was still working on us getting in when we have no idea where he is. We found the perfect place. We fell in love with you. It was in the perfect location perfect for our dogs. So, we ended up giving the trailer we had never seen before that the guy put our deposit down on a look. We actually liked it way better. So my mom applied for it and got denied. For what you might ask? Student loans. My mother has been working so very hard for MONTHS 13 hours 5 days a week. She makes very good money to the point you would ask, why move into a trailer if you make that much? It made no sense. And it was devastating. I’ve been hoping and praying we somehow get approved for it. If you can let teenagers move in with gas station/retail store jobs move in, but you can’t let a RN move in? Now, absolutely no judgment on absolutely anybody who works those jobs. But she’s a very accomplished woman with a very good work ethic and is so passionate. And all she wanted was a better life for us. My sick stepdad lives 2 minutes down the road. It was going to be perfect. I really am disappointed in creekside. It was a very bad experience all around. From our trailer we had our deposit on getting sold, to getting denied for no good reason. She sent them all the info they needed and she was followed up with “our decision is very clear you are denied there’s nothing you can do” something along those lines don’t mark my words. Overall, very bad experience working with them. I hope people have better experiences in the future because they are absolutely beautiful homes in a beautiful community. Thank you for reading and i mean no harm in writing this. Just want to warn you it may be a rough road trying to get into creekside.
Apr 04, 2025 · Anna WhiteAs the owner of a cleaning company, I have had the pleasure of working alongside many community home managers and maintenance teams, and I can confidently say that this team stands out. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and dedication to maintaining the community's well-being are second to none. Chris, Eric, and Keanu consistently go above and beyond to ensure that both the residents and the property are taken care of.
