Crossed Palms Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the vicinity of Nevada, Texas, particularly near Lavon Lake, Crossed Palms RV Park, located at 13610 Co Rd 760, Nevada, TX 75173, USA, presents an interesting option. Customer reviews indicate an evolving park with a focus on improving its facilities and fostering a strong sense of community, while also noting a potential noise concern related to a nearby power plant.
One enthusiastic reviewer described Crossed Palms as a "Super swanky extra swell place!" They highlighted several positive developments since moving in, including improvements to the roads and grounds, the installation of fire pits next to the lake and stage area, and the hosting of a concert with complimentary food. These initiatives suggest an active management that is investing in the park's infrastructure and the guest experience.
A significant feature mentioned is the opening of an on-site convenience store that serves "amazing food at cost." The reviewer specifically listed dishes like Cajun chicken Alfredo, sloppy joes, and a chili dish with rice and cheese, indicating a diverse and appealing menu. The "at cost" pricing suggests a benefit for residents and guests, making it an affordable and convenient dining option within the park.
Adding to the positive aspects, a later edit from the same reviewer, who became the property maintenance man after moving in, mentions the addition of a propane filling station with pricing lower than what is typically available elsewhere. This is a valuable amenity for RV owners, offering both convenience and potential cost savings. The maintenance man also expresses enjoyment in his work and highlights the park's proximity to the lake, where he fishes frequently. Furthermore, the park is described as pet-friendly, with fenced lots, which is a significant advantage for RVers traveling with animals.
However, it is crucial to consider all aspects of the reviews to provide an objective introduction. The initial enthusiastic reviewer added an important edit on January 17, 2023, noting that the park appeared to be "attacking the sound wall of trees" between the RV sites and a nearby power plant. They included pictures illustrating the view from their camper and advised that noise-sensitive individuals might want to wait until a "phase two" is completed to see if the noise situation improves. This indicates a potential noise issue that could impact the tranquility of some sites, particularly those closer to the power plant, and suggests that future developments might mitigate this concern.
The reviewer also made several subsequent edits, primarily noting the addition of photos over time, eventually stating they could no longer add pictures but were providing them to the office for their future website. This ongoing sharing of visual information suggests a transparent and engaged community within the park.
Combining the positive developments with the potential noise concern, Crossed Palms RV Park appears to be a community that is actively improving and offering a range of amenities. The lake access is a significant draw, and the addition of fire pits and a stage suggests opportunities for social gatherings and outdoor enjoyment. The on-site convenience store with affordable food and the propane filling station add considerable convenience for residents and guests.
For those searching for "lakefront RV parks Texas" or "RV parks near me" with specific amenities, Crossed Palms offers several appealing features. The pet-friendly policy with fenced lots is a major benefit for travelers with animals, providing a safe and comfortable environment for pets. The ongoing improvements to the grounds and roads indicate a commitment to maintaining and enhancing the park's quality.

Crossed Palms Reviews
Super swanky extra swell place! Since we moved in they have increased the quality of the roads and grounds, installed fire pits next to the lake and stage, had a concert with free food, and opened an on site convenience store that serves amazing food at cost! So far we have had Cajun chicken Alfredo, sloppy joes, and a chili dish with rice and cheese that IMHO was the best yet! I highly recommend anyone who reads this stay far away though so I can keep all this awesomeness for myself BWAhahahahahahahaha!Edit 17JAN23: they seem to be attacking the sound wall of trees between us and the powerplant (see pics of the view from our camper) so if you are noise sensitive you might wait till phase two gets completed to see if the situation improves.Edit 20feb23 added photosEdit 07mar23 added photos :3Edit 23mar23 added photos xDEdit 26sep23 can't add any more pics but Ive been handing them off to the office for their future website.

Apr 19, 2024 · Tina LankfordWe live here. It is quite. The neighbors are friendly and we have a convenience store with a kitchen where Annette cooks different tasty meals we can purchase if we don't have time or don't want to cook.We each have wooden fences around our lots as well at a reasonable price. You are not going to find that everywhere. No age restriction on your RV as long as they are well kept. Come join our community.
Jun 28, 2023 · GodsWarrior MuniWe just moved in last month.one of the main reasons is because the RV lots have concrete slabs and are pretty level unlike the RV park we were staying at across the street . it had very large gravel.my RV took up the back half and I had to park on the front half every time I had to get in my truck it would hurt My feet really bad unless I had my heavy duty steel toe boots on.there was no privacy fence.if you wanting that it was 800 a month instead of 650 a month.i did enjoy staying there.14 months then I started getting sick off and on things started getting kind of bad because I was not able to work and we had to ask the church to help us pay the rent God came through like he always does.also the transmission went out in my truck and had to come up with the deductible my part 1600 hundred no idea at all where that was going to come from so the money from the church to help pay rent was going to be mailed and come one day later than the first and all he had to say was your going to have to pay a 50 late fee I know it is a business for him but that really upset me.so I went to crossed palms.got the most wonderful move in special from Lindsey the manager of the property.she was very nice and accommodating to me and my wife and I got what I really wanted.they are adding 40 more spaces that will be ready in early 2025 so if you want to get a really great deal.reserve ASAP.
