Crystal Acres MHC Introduce
For local users in the Crystal River, Florida area searching for "RV parks near me" as a potential long-term living solution, or exploring various housing options, Crystal Acres MHC, located at 2850 N Crede Ave, Crystal River, FL 34428, warrants careful consideration. While the platform category is "RV parks near me," this introduction focuses on the property as a mobile home park, as indicated by its name and the content of the available reviews. The reviews provide critical insights into the living conditions and management practices that prospective residents, including those with RVs seeking long-term stays, should be aware of.
Recent customer reviews for Crystal Acres MHC paint a concerning picture, detailing significant issues related to maintenance, pest infestations, management responsiveness, and financial practices. One lengthy review from a former resident describes a multitude of problems encountered during their tenancy. Upon moving in, the resident reported a "roach infestation in the walls." This suggests a potential lack of adequate pest control measures within the community, which can be a major concern for the comfort and hygiene of residents.
The same reviewer also detailed several unresolved maintenance issues within their home. These included a shower that would overflow after only three minutes, a washing machine that leaked, and a kitchen sink that remained unfixed even upon moving out. The limited availability of maintenance, stated as "only there on Tuesdays," coupled with their alleged inaction ("absolutely nothing to fix it"), indicates a potentially severe lack of timely and effective maintenance services for residents. This can lead to significant inconvenience and financial burdens for tenants who are forced to seek external help for repairs that should ideally be handled by the property management.
Furthermore, the review highlights issues with yard maintenance. The resident reported having to pay someone to mow their yard due to neglect by the park's management. Even when they requested mowing and provided photographic evidence of the overgrown state, they experienced delays and the need for repeated follow-ups before any action was taken. This suggests a lack of consistent upkeep of the communal areas and potentially individual lots, impacting the overall aesthetic and potentially safety (due to snakes being harder to see in long grass) of the community.
The former resident also raised serious concerns regarding the return of their security deposit. Despite leaving the property clean with only a minor accidental hole in the wall, they reported being denied their full deposit and not receiving any communication or explanation from the management, even after five months. This lack of transparency and the alleged withholding of a security deposit for minimal damage are significant red flags regarding the management's financial practices and their handling of tenant agreements.
Adding to these issues, the reviewer mentioned a substantial rent increase, with the rent for a park model trailer rising from $850 to $950 within an eight-month period. This suggests a potential for frequent and significant rent hikes, which can make budgeting difficult for residents and raises questions about the affordability and long-term cost of living at Crystal Acres MHC.
The second review, from someone looking for an RV spot, provides an external perspective that aligns with the negative experiences described by the former resident. The prospective RV renter found the property to be "over priced and looked like a run down property." This observation corroborates the concerns about maintenance and overall condition raised in the first review. Additionally, the reviewer noted a stringent "application process like you are renting an apartment instead of just a concrete pad," which they found excessive for an RV spot. The presence of "Several empty RV pads" led the reviewer to conclude, "I guess they don't need the business," suggesting a potentially off-putting or unaccommodating approach to prospective tenants, even for short-term RV stays if they are offered.
Based on these reviews, information regarding positive services or features of Crystal Acres MHC is entirely absent. The feedback overwhelmingly focuses on negative aspects of the management, maintenance, environment (pest infestation, overgrown yards), and financial practices (security deposits, rent increases). These are critical factors that any potential resident, including those seeking "RV parks near me" for a longer duration, should seriously consider.
Promotional information is not provided in the reviews. Given the strong negative feedback, it is unlikely that current or former residents would be promoting the property. Local users searching for "RV parks near me" or mobile home living options in Crystal River should be extremely cautious when considering Crystal Acres MHC and weigh the serious concerns raised in these recent accounts.
It is important to acknowledge that these reviews represent individual experiences. However, the consistency and severity of the issues reported – including roach infestations, neglected maintenance, questionable security deposit practices, and perceived overpricing for a rundown property – serve as significant warnings for potential residents. Further investigation and potentially seeking feedback from additional sources might be prudent, but the current information strongly suggests a problematic living environment and questionable management practices at Crystal Acres MHC.
In conclusion, Crystal Acres MHC at 2850 N Crede Ave in Crystal River appears to have significant issues based on recent customer reviews. These include unresolved maintenance problems, pest infestations, neglect of property upkeep, potentially unfair security deposit handling, and unexpected rent increases. For local users searching for "RV parks near me" or considering mobile home living, it is strongly recommended to carefully consider these serious concerns and thoroughly research alternative options in the Crystal River area that may offer a more stable, well-maintained, and transparent living experience.

Crystal Acres MHC Reviews
I moved in, not knowing the home, had a roach infestation in the walls,.. I couldn’t take more than a three minute shower before it would overflow into my entire bathroom. I will clean it up and put it in the washer and the washer would leak from the back.. maintenance is only there on Tuesdays so I had to wait for them to do absolutely nothing to fix it. I had to pay someone to mow my yard because it would get so high. I couldn’t even see the snakes that were out there when I would walk my dogs I eventually had to pay someone other times II had to beg and send a pictures before it was cut and then follow up again before they come out there to actually cut it. .. The kitchen sink also leaked and that never got fixed when I finally moved out. I took three days off of work because I live alone and I’m moving my house alone. I use two days to move and use the third day to clean so that I could get my deposit back.. I had a friend come help me clean and after I had left, she put one small hole in the wall with the broom accidentally so that was the only thing that was wrong when I left, and they refuse to give me my deposit back. They said they sent correspondence to my address, but I’ve not received anything from them.. It has been five months now and still, I have not received my deposit back. I suggest not moving there. They never fix anything. They just sugarcoat it to make it last another month… Also, my rent started out at 850 for a park model trailer and went up to 950 in eight months so if you move there, expect to have your rent keep going up every few months and have roaches when you leave that you didn’t have before
Jan 03, 2025 · Kasey BlackWas looking for an RV spot to rent. This place was over priced and looked like a run down property. They have an application process like you are renting an apartment instead of just a concrete pad. Several empty RV pads. I guess they don't need the business.
Apr 26, 2025 · Kevin CollinsI was looking up places for long term. From what I read, it's all very old, but the satellite pictures show a very sloppy park. I can understand a trailer, shed, outside furniture. Each site has the trailers just thrown in there with stuff everywhere. Can't tell where a site ends or starts. The pictures y'all have are of everything but the park. Seems like a price I could afford rite now and I could make a nice home for myself but that place needs improvement and I read one person made a site a couple of times and was made to move because of a regulars request, he should have had a lease signed where that wouldn't have happened cause I wouldn't have moved. I do hope it gets more cleaned up and some real pictures that match the satellite ones to show how it looks.
Dec 12, 2024 · MarkRent keeps raising, and the management doesn't take care of trimming shrubs or cleaning up their junk campers.
Jan 15, 2025 · Donald McBrideI hope the new Management is better then the last. WOW. They were Awful!!!! We rented a spot for 6 months while our house was being built. We have a 2019 37’ Big Horn 5 TH wheel with 4 slides. They move me 3 times in 2 months because one of there (regulars$ wanted the spot I was on. After the 3rd time, we moved to another campground. Very bad experience here. My 1st and last trip here.
