De Anza RV Resort Introduce
For those navigating the search for "RV parks near me" in Southern Arizona, De Anza RV Resort in Amado, AZ, stands out as a highly-regarded and well-appointed destination. Located at 2869 I-19 Frontage Rd, Amado, AZ 85645, USA, this resort positions itself as "The Biggest Little Park in America," offering a blend of premium amenities, stunning natural surroundings, and convenient accessibility that appeals to a diverse range of RV travelers, from weekenders to long-term snowbirds.
The environment at De Anza RV Resort is consistently praised for its beauty and tranquility. Guests rave about "Great views" of the surrounding mountains and "stunning sunsets," providing a picturesque backdrop for their stay. The park is nestled in a desert oasis, offering a sense of "country quiet" that contrasts with the hustle and bustle of larger cities like Phoenix, yet it remains "city close" to Tucson and just south of Green Valley. This strategic location allows for a peaceful retreat without sacrificing access to urban conveniences. The generously spaced RV sites contribute significantly to the overall comfort, providing "privacy and comfort" that is highly valued by residents. While the sites are mostly gravel, they are described as "long and level" and "very well maintained," with some sites offering shade. The park itself is a "private gated community," enhancing the sense of security for all residents and visitors.
De Anza RV Resort distinguishes itself through its extensive range of services and features, designed to cater to a wide array of interests and needs. The core offering includes 186 spacious RV sites, all with full utility hookups (30/50 amp), ensuring convenience for all types of rigs, including "BIG RIGS." Many sites are pull-through, making for easy parking. A standout feature is the impressive "38,000 Sq Ft facility with everything you want," which serves as the central hub of the resort. This massive clubhouse complex houses an indoor heated pool and spa, allowing for year-round swimming and relaxation regardless of the weather. For active guests, there are two indoor pickleball courts, a fitness room/gym, billiards room with two 9ft tables, a card and game room, and a library/TV lounge. Outdoor recreational options include a putting green, lawn bowling, shuffleboard, and horseshoe pits. The resort also offers a seasonal on-site bar and restaurant, The Sunset Cantina Bar and Grill, providing convenient dining and social opportunities. Additional amenities include clean restrooms and showers, a laundry room, and propane delivery available, demonstrating a comprehensive approach to guest comfort.
The resort fosters a strong sense of community and culture, with reviews highlighting "great people and great culture!" De Anza RV Resort hosts a vibrant schedule of activities, events, and live entertainment, ensuring there's always something engaging happening. This makes it an ideal place for those seeking social interaction and a lively atmosphere, particularly during the peak snowbird season. For those preparing to cross the border to snowbird in Mexico, the full utility sites and easy highway access (located on the I-19 Frontage Rd) make it a highly efficient and convenient stop for preparing their RVs.
Beyond the immediate amenities, De Anza RV Resort's location provides excellent access to local attractions. It is minutes from historic Tubac Village, known for its art galleries and shops, and the scenic Madera Canyon, which offers "world-class Birding," hiking trails, and ATV riding. The area also boasts a variety of restaurants and fine dining options, along with over eight public golf courses. This accessibility to both natural beauty and cultural experiences enhances the overall appeal of the resort for both short and long-term stays.
From a promotional standpoint, De Anza RV Resort effectively highlights its premium features and desirable location. The park's self-proclaimed title of "The Biggest Little Park in America" emphasizes its comprehensive offerings despite its perhaps not being the largest by sheer acreage. The mention of "great views, great people, and great culture" directly addresses key desires of RV travelers seeking a positive experience. The clear benefits of its location, being "Cooler than Phoenix and no traffic jams to get here like there are when heading north in the summer," is a strong draw for summer weekend getaways for Arizona residents. For snowbirds, the convenience for "preparing to cross the border to snowbird in Mexico" and the "easy highway access and ability to get underway early in the morning" are significant selling points. While the daily rate is noted as being "at a premium," the array of amenities, the spacious sites, and the overall quality of the experience appear to justify this cost for many visitors. The "10 10 10" Good Sam rating for completeness of facilities, cleanliness of restrooms/showers, and visual appeal further reinforces its premium status and serves as a powerful endorsement in the "RV parks near me" category. De Anza RV Resort is accessible by phone at (520) 398-8628 or +1 520-398-8628, providing direct contact for inquiries about their rates, availability, and detailed information about their extensive offerings.

De Anza RV Resort Reviews
Couldn't love it more! Great views, great people and great culture! Great place for a weekend getaway in the summer. Cooler than Phoenix and no traffic jams to get here like there are when heading north in the summer!
Apr 13, 2025 · Laura ParkinWe stop here regularly as we prepare to cross the border to snowbird in Mexico. The full utility sites make preparing the RV for winter storage helpful and efficient. The generously spaced RV sites provide privacy and comfort.Although we rarely utilize the amenities of the resort, it's nice that they are available. There aren't any rooms that I'm aware of. We certainly didn't use them if they are offered.Although the daily rate is at a premium, we appreciate the easy highway access and ability to get underway early in the morning.
Dec 10, 2024 · Peggy J (SC senorita)We stayed a week here while visiting family in Green Valley. The RV sties are big and level. The facility was clean and quiet. The resort just changed ownership and expect new upgrades to the resort. I would definitely stay here again, overall a great RV resort.
Jun 28, 2024 · brent clarkWhat a great place. Lots of big spaces, huge park for walking, 3 different dog areas, clean showers and laundry room. Very happy. Our spot (82) is on the corner and came with a shaded table patio! All the folks here were friendly. WiFi not good, but will stay again.
