The resort fosters a welcoming environment where newcomers quickly feel at home.
One of the standout features of Green Valley RV Resort is the extensive list of activities available to residents. This isn't a place for simply sitting back and watching television. Instead, residents actively engage in a diverse range of hobbies, classes, and social events. According to one long-term resident, the activities are plentiful and cater to various interests. These include classes such as stained glass and lapidary, fitness opportunities like aerobics in the heated pool, and social gatherings like potluck Wednesdays. For those who enjoy entertainment, there's a ballroom for live performances and karaoke nights. The community also offers opportunities for outdoor activities with hiking groups and the "off road Boony Bash." Additionally, residents can participate in games like shuffleboard and bucket ball, explore their creative side with art classes, engage in bible study, and showcase their talents at craft shows. Country line dancing is another popular activity, and the list goes on, indicating a truly dynamic and engaging community.
The resort also emphasizes a strong sense of community and trust among its residents, where a handshake is considered a commitment. In terms of the physical environment, Green Valley RV Resort is described as a "slice of heaven" by one enthusiastic resident. While specific details about the layout and landscaping aren't extensively covered in the provided reviews, the emphasis on a "nice quiet park" suggests a well-maintained and peaceful setting. One reviewer specifically appreciated the thoughtful separation of sites for those with pets and those without. This feature caters to different preferences and ensures a comfortable stay for all guests, particularly those who prefer a pet-free environment due to potential noise concerns in close-proximity RV park settings.
Amenities at Green Valley RV Resort appear to be well-received. A "nice pool area" is mentioned, although one reviewer did not use it, suggesting it is available for residents to enjoy. The availability of fresh baked sticky buns on Tuesday mornings, ordered in advance, is another unique and appreciated feature that adds a touch of local charm and community spirit. The staff is consistently described as nice and helpful, indicating a commitment to guest satisfaction.
Beyond the resort itself, the surrounding area of Green Valley offers opportunities for exploration and outdoor activities. One reviewer enjoyed morning hikes at the nearby Western Desert Preserve, which boasts 10 acres of trails suitable for hiking and mountain biking. The preserve is also noted as a good spot for birdwatching, appealing to nature enthusiasts. This proximity to natural beauty enhances the overall appeal of Green Valley RV Resort, providing residents with options for recreation and enjoying the Arizona landscape.
While the reviews do not explicitly detail all the services offered, it is reasonable to assume that a well-regarded 55+ RV resort like Green Valley would provide essential utilities and infrastructure for RV living, such as water, sewer, and electrical hookups at each site. Given the focus on community and activities, it's also likely that the resort has common areas like a clubhouse or activity center to host the various events and classes mentioned. Green Valley RV Resort Reviews
This is a nice quiet park with friendly people. There were activities and we joined a few and learned some new games. And on Tuesday mornings you can order ahead and get fresh baked sticky buns which are delicious! Staff was nice and helpful. We loved that there were separate sites for those with pets and those without pets. While we love dogs, we don't love their barking and in RV parks you are in such close proximity. We enjoyed staying away from the pets. They have a nice pool area too, though we didn't use it. We were in site 80. We enjoyed morning hikes at nearby Western Desert Preserve. There are 10 acres of trails suitable for hiking and mountain biking. Good for birding too.
Apr 06, 2025 · Susan SchwadererFive years ago we stopped her to visit friends living in this park. This place is truly a slice of heaven❣️ We are not sitting on a couch watching TV. We are enjoying this community of 55 and older folks who are enjoying their retirement to the maximum of their ability! Classes on Stained glass, lapidary, aerobics in the heated pool, a ballroom for live entertainment, pot luck Wednesday’s, hiking groups, off road Boony Bash, shuffle board, bucket ball, art classes, bible study, craft shows, karaoke night, Country Line Dancing, and the list goes on. The generation of this park is one of your handshake is your word. After two years of visiting we bought a park model and have become residents of Arizona. I Love this place, the people, the management. I never dreamed retirement would be the best part of our lives! NotAll parks are like this…. This is a slice of heaven ❣️
Feb 22, 2025 · Nancy LeVeyA very fine RV park. Nice level sites with 50/30 amp electric service, great water pressure and nice sewer connections. They would have a 5 star rating from me if they accepted credit cards.
Jan 30, 2025 · Steve ButterfieldWell appointed RV park, full service lots. Great location and friendly regulars and residents. sites are tight as its an older park but well maintained.
Mar 27, 2025 · Tim WardNo rooms here, not that I know of, unless park management rents park models. Simple park not many bells and whistles that's fine with us. Club house with pool room, library, gym used for large functions, arts and craft room, great internet. Laundry room, everything works, well maintained pool and hot tub. Unlike the hot tubs in most GVR's, every time I use their hot tubs, here comes the rash, possibly too muchchemicals not here it's great. I rent one of the park model homes here to visit often. The manager is retired military and manages the resort top notch. This month, coming up, they will be paving all the roads that will be great. You also get water and sewer at your sites, much appreciated. Some sites are pet friendly, the only negative and that's not in control of management here us not having a turn light upon exiting the resort with people trying to set land speeds on highway out front makes it difficult at times leaving. If Sahuarita town would get on the ball and survey for light placement, it would be awesome. Government wheels move too slow at times.
