Desert Sky Introduce
For those searching for "RV parks near me" in the Apache Junction, Arizona area, Desert Sky RV Park, located at 900 S Idaho Rd, Apache Junction, AZ 85119, USA, presents a clean and quiet option with a welcoming community feel. You can contact them at (480) 454-5628 or +1 480-454-5628 for inquiries about availability and rates.
Based on customer reviews, Desert Sky RV Park offers a unique blend of tranquility and community. One reviewer described the park as "clean and quiet," which are highly desirable qualities for many RV travelers seeking a peaceful environment. This suggests that Desert Sky RV Park provides a serene setting away from the noise and bustle often associated with more amenity-rich resorts.
However, this same reviewer also noted that the park "does not have amenities like other parks." This is an important consideration for potential guests who prioritize features such as swimming pools, clubhouses, or extensive recreational facilities. The reviewer also observed that the park "looks like it could use a regular maintenance person" to address tasks like trimming shrubs, blowing down sidewalks, applying weed killer, and updating curb paint. These comments suggest that while the park is clean, some aspects of its upkeep might be less consistent than in other RV parks.
Despite these observations, the reviewer acknowledged that the "price is fair for the amount of amenities." This implies that Desert Sky RV Park may offer a more budget-friendly option for those who value a quiet and clean environment over an extensive list of amenities. The reviewer also pointed out some areas for potential improvement, such as the lack of a gate, some streetlights being out, the need to secure or remove vacant properties, and the suggestion to repurpose an old shuffleboard area into a pool and BBQ area.
In contrast to the focus on amenities, another reviewer with a long-term perspective offered a glowing testament to the park's atmosphere. Describing it as "home," this resident of one and a half years stated that "it's not a resort it's like home." This suggests a strong sense of community and a comfortable, lived-in environment rather than a purely vacation-oriented setting. The reviewer further noted that "the areas are well maintained and the people are like old friends," highlighting the positive social aspect of the park and contradicting the other reviewer's observations about maintenance to some extent, or perhaps indicating improvements over time or different perspectives on what constitutes "well maintained."
This long-term resident also shared that their stay at Desert Sky was a "very pleasant experience" and expressed genuine sadness at having to leave due to health reasons, stating, "I will truly miss Desert Sky." This heartfelt review speaks volumes about the welcoming and supportive community that has been fostered within the park.
Considering these reviews together, Desert Sky RV Park appears to be a clean and quiet park that prioritizes a sense of community and a "homely" atmosphere over a wide array of resort-style amenities. It may be particularly appealing to those seeking a longer-term stay and a friendly neighborhood vibe. While some aspects of general maintenance might be perceived as needing improvement, the areas are generally well-kept, according to a long-term resident.
For individuals specifically searching for "RV parks near me" for shorter stays, Desert Sky RV Park could still be a viable option if a quiet and clean environment is a top priority and a more basic level of amenities is acceptable. The friendly community atmosphere could also be a plus for those who enjoy interacting with fellow travelers and long-term residents.
Regarding specific services and features, the reviews provide limited information. We know it is clean and quiet, and it fosters a strong sense of community. However, details about essential RV park services such as:
- RV site hookups (electricity, water, sewer) and their capacity (e.g., 30 amp, 50 amp).
- Restroom and shower facilities.
- Laundry facilities.
- Waste disposal services.
- Wi-Fi availability.
are not mentioned. Potential guests should contact Desert Sky RV Park directly to inquire about these essential services and to confirm that they meet their needs.
Similarly, information about recreational amenities is scarce. The mention of an "old shuffle board area" suggests that some recreational facilities may have existed in the past but are perhaps no longer in optimal condition or are underutilized. The suggestion to convert this area into a pool and BBQ area indicates a potential desire for more common RV park amenities.
No promotional information is included in the provided text. To learn about current rates, availability, and any special offers for short-term or long-term stays, interested individuals should contact Desert Sky RV Park directly at the provided phone numbers. They can provide the most accurate and up-to-date information.
In conclusion, Desert Sky RV Park in Apache Junction, Arizona, offers a clean and quiet environment with a strong sense of community that long-term residents appreciate. While it may have fewer amenities than some other "RV parks near me" and some aspects of maintenance could potentially be improved, its friendly atmosphere and reasonable pricing (implied by one reviewer) may make it an attractive option for those prioritizing a peaceful and budget-conscious stay. Potential guests should contact the park directly to inquire about specific services, amenities, and current rates to determine if it aligns with their individual needs and preferences.

Desert Sky Reviews
Park is clean and quiet. But does not have amenities like other parks. Looks like it could use a regular maintenance person. You know trim shrubs. Water common areas blow down sidewalks. Weed killer in spring. Update I g the curb paint. Price is fair for the amount of amenities. But it’s not gated some of the street lights are out. Vacant properties need to be secured or removed. Old shuffle board are would one better served as a pool and BVQ area.
Oct 04, 2024 · J KaiserIts home. I have lived here for 1 1/2 years. It's not a resort it's like home. The areas are well maintained and the people are like old friends. Staying here was a very pleasant experience. But my health is forcing me to go to my sons. I will truly miss Desert Sky.
Sep 04, 2020 · John TestaVery nice cozy little park. Unfortunately it was sold to a corporation. My husband stayed here all last winter season and was just told he isn't allowed to rent a space this upcoming season because he isnt 55. He is 53. Previous owner Ken was awesome. He allowed us in even though we weren't 55. The corporation referred us to one of their all age parks which we had stayed at many years ago and from the reviews it hasn't changed. Drugs, theft etc. This is one of the biggest reasons why we prefer to stay in a 55+. Anyway, it's a bummer. We were really looking forward to coming back here.
Aug 25, 2022 · Minnie FergusonI only knew a couple people when I moved here 6 years ago. Didn’t take long to get to know the park residents as everyone is very friendly. It’s a quiet, clean community with a beautiful view of the Superstition Mountains. Emergency services is just up the street if we need them. I’ve enjoyed getting to know Ken ,the owner, nice guy. He’s always on top of any issue. Rent is very affordable . I highly recommend Desert sky Mobile home park, it’s a great place to live!
Aug 29, 2018 · Robin VGWe bought our park model March 2919. We really like it here. We had a miniture pincher when we first got here but had to put her down this year. They allow pets but got to keep dog quiet at early hours and late hours. No animenties but that's how he keeps price down.
