Golden Sun Resort Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the Apache Junction, Arizona region, Golden Sun Resort, situated at 999 W Broadway Ave, Apache Junction, AZ 85120, USA, presents itself as a potentially attractive option, particularly for those considering long-term parking. You can contact them at (480) 983-3760 or +1 480-983-3760 to inquire about availability and specific terms for extended stays.
One initial observation from a prospective long-term resident is that "The park is very nice." This general positive impression suggests that Golden Sun Resort offers an aesthetically pleasing and well-maintained environment for its guests. For individuals prioritizing the overall appearance and ambiance of an RV park, this initial feedback is encouraging.
However, another reviewer points out a significant consideration for those with larger RVs or tow vehicles: "The spaces are very tight to get into." This could pose a challenge for some RVers, requiring careful maneuvering and potentially limiting the size of rigs that can be comfortably accommodated. The reviewer further elaborates on this issue, mentioning an instance where they "almost couldn't park the truck on the site because of the neighbors slide outs." This highlights the potential for spatial constraints once neighboring RVs are fully set up, possibly impacting parking for additional vehicles or the ease of movement around individual sites. Prospective residents with larger setups should inquire specifically about site dimensions and potential space limitations.
The experience with the check-in process was mixed for one reviewer. They noted that "The lady that checked us in had a heavy accent and seemed irritated that I had to keep asking her to repeat herself so I could understand her." This comment raises a potential concern regarding communication during the initial interaction with park staff. Clear and effective communication is crucial for a positive guest experience, and this feedback suggests a possible area for improvement.
Despite the challenges with parking space and the check-in experience, Golden Sun Resort receives positive feedback regarding its amenities. The reviewer states, "Amenities are good," indicating that the park offers a range of facilities that meet the needs of its guests. Specifically, the pool is highlighted as exceptional: "Best pool I have been to at a thousand trails." For those who value swimming and relaxation, a top-notch pool can be a significant draw, especially in the Arizona climate. As Golden Sun Resort is mentioned as being affiliated with Thousand Trails, this aligns with the network's reputation for providing various amenities at its locations.
Furthermore, the cleanliness and upkeep of essential facilities are commended: "Laundry and bathrooms were keep clean and in good shape." Clean and well-maintained restrooms and laundry facilities are essential for the comfort and convenience of RV park residents, particularly those staying for extended periods. This positive feedback suggests that Golden Sun Resort prioritizes the hygiene and functionality of these key areas.
Another significant advantage of Golden Sun Resort is its location. The reviewer notes that it is "Close to a lot of sights in and around Mesa." Mesa is a major city in the Phoenix metropolitan area, offering a wide array of attractions, including museums, cultural venues, shopping centers, and dining options. The proximity to these off-site attractions enhances the appeal of Golden Sun Resort, providing residents with easy access to entertainment and services beyond the park itself. This location could be particularly attractive to those who enjoy exploring the local area.
In summary, Golden Sun Resort appears to be a "nice" RV park, potentially well-suited for long-term parking considerations. Its affiliation with Thousand Trails suggests a certain standard of amenities, with the pool being a standout feature. The cleanliness and maintenance of the laundry and bathroom facilities are also positive aspects. However, prospective residents should be aware of the potential for tight parking spaces, which could be a significant factor depending on the size of their RV and any additional vehicles. The reported issue with communication during check-in is also something to keep in mind.
Considering its affiliation with Thousand Trails, Golden Sun Resort likely offers a membership-based system or allows stays for members and non-members alike, potentially with different pricing structures. Thousand Trails parks often include a range of amenities such as clubhouses, recreational areas, and planned activities, although these are not specifically mentioned in the provided reviews for this particular location. It would be beneficial to inquire about the full list of amenities and whether membership is required or advantageous for staying at Golden Sun Resort.
Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the given reviews. To learn about any current specials, long-term stay discounts, or the benefits of Thousand Trails membership in relation to Golden Sun Resort, direct contact with the park management is recommended. Inquiring about site sizes and layouts would also be prudent for those concerned about parking constraints.
In conclusion, Golden Sun Resort in Apache Junction, AZ, offers a potentially pleasant environment with good amenities, including an exceptional pool and clean facilities, making it a contender for those seeking "RV parks near me," especially for long-term stays. Its proximity to attractions in and around Mesa is another significant benefit. However, potential residents should carefully consider the reported tight parking spaces and inquire about site dimensions to ensure a comfortable fit for their RV. Addressing any concerns about the check-in process directly with the management may also be advisable.

We were checking out possible long-term parking possibilities. The park is very nice.

Mar 02, 2024 · Karen GayWe have visited many Thousand Trails/Encore parks and are accustomed to the welcoming feeling we get at most resorts and friendly culture amongst residents but sadly I can’t say this for here. In the ten days we stayed we didn’t encounter hardly anyone who wanted to even say hi back or engage in small talk. From the start the staff didn’t seem to be happy we were there so immediately we did not feel welcome. Upon check-in I was told that if I wanted to take my dogs to the park (which was on the other end of the park) I would have to carry my dogs because they don’t want dogs doing their business in the park. The only other place to walk your dog is the busy street outside the park. In the mornings when I wanted to use the bathroom there were 3 different times I was told they were closed for cleaning even though the signage said it t was supposed to be closed from 6-6:30am but each time it was earlier or later than that. The most disturbing part of my stay was showering at the facility one day a woman seemed to be peeking into my stall while I was showering and getting dressed. She was older so I thought perhaps she had dementia but it didn’t help the negative vibe I was already feeling. The park itself is difficult to navigate a small trailer so I wouldn’t recommend anything big. The spot they put us in was not ideal for backing in a travel trailer even though it would have been simple enough for staff to block out the parking spots in front of the site that the cars were parked in that made getting into our spot a major hassle. Even though the park was pretty clean and the pool and hot tub were nice, we definitely won’t be thinking of here for future stays.
Feb 01, 2024 · Tan BennettsThe residents are awesome !!But I would not recommend it !! Why?The management is very bias!! And I personally believe resentful .. she is never friendly or kind! The club house is locked most of the time. The washing machines never work .. if there is an issue like lost money good luck because they use a vendor and not telling when you’re gonna get your refund.Stay away from this place.
Mar 20, 2024 · Anna McPhersonThe lady that checked us in was quite irritated that I could not understand her with her heavy accent. The spaces are very tight and difficult to back a trailer into. They want the trailers right up against the concrete slab. We were barely able to park the truck in our site due to the neighbors slide outs. The bathrooms were nice and always clean. The pool and hot tub were absolutely amazing.
