Dogwood Ridge RV Park Introduce
Dogwood Ridge RV Park, situated at 5060 LA-3278 in Natchitoches, Louisiana, is an option for local users searching for "RV parks near me" in the area. According to one long-term visitor, the park has become a family tradition over the years, appreciated for its location that is "close to town but hidden away from the highway." This suggests a convenient yet somewhat secluded setting, offering a balance between accessibility to local amenities and a degree of peace away from main thoroughfares. The small hill leading into the park is also mentioned, with reassurance not to let it be a deterrent.
This positive review also highlights the presence of a manager named Paul, who is described as being "always around to answer questions if you can’t reach the landlord." This suggests that there is on-site support available for guests, which can be a significant comfort for those needing assistance or information during their stay.
However, it is crucial to consider another, more critical review from a full-time traveler who stayed at Dogwood Ridge RV Park. This review presents a contrasting perspective on several key aspects of the park and its management. The traveler mentions that while the manager, Paul, was initially perceived as an "awesome person," they also noted disruptive behavior, alleging that he would "beat and bang on stuff all hours of the night for his personal business that he runs out of the campground." This raises concerns about the potential for noise disturbances affecting the peace and quiet of other guests.
Furthermore, this reviewer expressed significant dissatisfaction with several other aspects of the RV park. They found the "parking was too tight, even for our 30 foot camper," which could be a major issue for RVers with larger rigs. The "water pressure was very low," potentially impacting the comfort and convenience of daily activities. The "Wifi didn’t work," which is a significant drawback for travelers who rely on internet connectivity for work or leisure. Additionally, they reported that "Most Spots are very unlevel," which can make it challenging to properly set up an RV and ensure appliances function correctly.
The negative feedback extends beyond the physical conditions of the park to the behavior of other guests and the management. The reviewer stated that there were "People constantly walking around the campground and talking loud all hours of the night," further contributing to noise issues and potentially disrupting sleep. They also described the "Owners are rude" and claimed that they "do not keep their word on anything."
A specific instance of alleged broken promises involves a discussion about prorated refunds. The reviewer, a full-time traveler since 2017, inquired about the park's policy on prorating refunds before moving in and states they were told they would receive a prorated refund upon departure. However, on their moving-out day, they were allegedly told that this was not possible, leading to disappointment and a feeling of mistrust.
Considering these contrasting reviews, it is important for local users searching for "RV parks near me" to weigh the positive aspects of the location and on-site manager against the significant concerns raised by another guest regarding tight spaces, low water pressure, unreliable wifi, unlevel spots, noise, and issues with the owners' communication and policies. The experience at Dogwood Ridge RV Park appears to be variable, with some finding it a convenient tradition while others have encountered substantial problems.
For those considering Dogwood Ridge RV Park, it would be prudent to inquire specifically about the size and levelness of the RV sites, the reliability of the water pressure and wifi, and the park's policies on noise and refunds. Direct communication with the park management regarding these concerns may provide further clarity and help potential guests make an informed decision. The contact numbers for Dogwood Ridge RV Park are (337) 396-1707 and +1 337-396-1707.
In conclusion, Dogwood Ridge RV Park offers a location that is both close to town and somewhat secluded, which may appeal to some local RV users. The presence of an on-site manager who is readily available for questions is also a potential benefit. However, the serious concerns raised in a recent review regarding tight spaces, inadequate utilities, noise disturbances, unlevel sites, and alleged issues with the owners' behavior and policies should not be overlooked. Potential guests should carefully consider these points and perhaps seek further clarification before making a reservation at Dogwood Ridge RV Park.

Dogwood Ridge RV Park Reviews
Me and my family have stayed at Dogwood Ridge Camper Park multiple times through the years. It’s a tradition. We like the location. It’s close to town but hidden away from the highway. Don’t let the small hill leading into the park scare you 😊 . Paul is always around to answer questions if you can’t reach the landlord.
Mar 16, 2024 · Dustie KulagaThe manager Paul was an awesome person even though he would beat and bang on stuff all hours of the night for his personal business that he runs out of the campground. Everything else was HORRIBLE. The parking was too tight, even for our 30 foot camper. Water pressure was very low. Wifi didn’t work. Most Spots are very unlevel. People constantly walking around the campground and talking loud all hours of the night. Owners are rude. And do not keep their word on anything. We’ve been full time Traveling since 2017 and the only question I ask is will they pro rate back. Some places do. Some places don’t. Which is fine. But we were told they would prorate back to us before moving in. Well moving out day they said they couldn’t. All you have is your word..
Mar 29, 2022 · Danielle AshWe were on our way to Texas and it was so far the hottest day of the year. Our tires starting blowing out. This place was conveniently located right off of the interstate. I called and it was late on a Saturday. The owner, Mrs Kathy, answered and I told her of our troubles. She contacted the manager (who lives in site), Mr. Paul. By the time we got there and got setup he came over and brought us info on everyone who could possibly sell us tires and have them mounted on a Sunday. I was really a nervous wreck and extremely leary that anyone would help us on a Sunday, esp during a pandemic. Sure enough, by noon we were on our way to Texas with four new tires on our Rv, right on schedule to be at work the next morning. They were both so caring and hospitable. I would highly recommend this place.
Jul 14, 2020 · Holly KnappVery comfortable park the people are nice and thr manager is very nice . Facilities are clean and keep up and the only drawback Or problem is the water pressure is barly 30 to 35 psi which causes problems regulating my endless hot water heater. But other than that would recommend the park its peaceful and pleasant stay in this area.
Apr 22, 2019 · Curtis HollisRain softened the ground so my leveling jacks needed wood planks to keep from sinking. No frills, nothing to offer other than 50 amp, water and sewer.$35.00 per night too much.Bath rooms need cleaning.Steep hill at entry....dragged my tail twice going up and down.NO CHECKS !Most suitable for workers in RV's.Stayed two nights in a 37' motorhome.
