Fairchild Heights Inc Introduce
Located at 804 Bridgeport Ave, Shelton, CT 06484, USA, Fairchild Heights Inc is a mobile home park in Fairfield County. With contact phone numbers (203) 929-1214 and +1 203-929-1214, Fairchild Heights Inc may appear under the category "RV parks near me" on some online platforms. However, the available information indicates it functions as a long-term residential community for individuals and families residing in manufactured homes. Reviews from individuals who have interacted with or lived in Fairchild Heights offer starkly contrasting perspectives, highlighting a potential decline in management and community standards over time.
One recent review details a highly negative experience involving a friend's attempt to move into Fairchild Heights. This account alleges unprofessional and potentially unethical behavior by the manager. The reviewer claims that the manager took a $250.00 credit check fee but then subjected the prospective tenant to unreasonable and seemingly arbitrary conditions. These conditions reportedly included making a 14-year-old son weigh their Golden Retriever on a bathroom scale, deeming the dog (allegedly 6 lbs overweight) unacceptable despite knowing the breed and taking the credit check fee beforehand. The reviewer further states that the manager repeatedly failed to show up for scheduled appointments to meet with the prospective tenant, offering "continual excuses" and causing significant inconvenience by making her wait in the heat on three different occasions over a week and a half. The reviewer concludes by suggesting that the manager's conduct warrants legal intervention, painting a picture of unprofessionalism, mismanagement, and potential financial impropriety.
In stark contrast, a historical review from someone who "Grew up in Fairchild Heights (then called Fairchild Mobile Home Park) in the 50's and 60's" offers a nostalgic and positive recollection of the community's past. This individual remembers it as a "great place, well run, and tenant friendly," noting that "Mr. Fairchild lived on the property." The reviewer expresses sadness upon hearing that the park has "gone downhill so badly," indicating a significant perceived decline in the quality of management and the overall living experience compared to its earlier days. This historical perspective suggests that Fairchild Heights may have once been a well-regarded and desirable mobile home community.
Based on these reviews, the environment of Fairchild Heights Inc appears to have undergone a significant transformation over the decades. While it was once considered a "great place" with a positive community atmosphere, recent experiences suggest potential issues with the current management style and its impact on prospective and possibly current residents. The physical environment, such as landscaping and maintenance of common areas, is not directly addressed in the reviews, but the contrast in management perception could indirectly suggest a decline in overall upkeep as well. The historical presence of the Fairchild family living on the property may have contributed to a more personal and responsible management approach, which seems to be lacking in the recent account.
Details regarding the specific services and features currently offered at Fairchild Heights Inc are limited in the provided information. Typically, mobile home parks offer essential infrastructure to support long-term residency. This includes utility hookups for water, sewer, and electricity at each lot. Residents are usually responsible for their individual utility consumption. Refuse removal and basic maintenance of common roadways are also common services. The historical review does not provide specifics about amenities, but the positive sentiment suggests that basic needs were likely met and the park was "well run." The recent negative review focuses primarily on the alleged mismanagement during the application process, not providing insights into the current services or amenities available to residents.
It is unknown whether Fairchild Heights Inc currently offers amenities such as laundry facilities, community centers, playgrounds, or specific pet areas. The negative review does mention a pet policy (regarding the weight of a Golden Retriever), indicating that pets are allowed under certain conditions. However, the manner in which this policy was reportedly enforced raises concerns about fairness and professionalism. The discrepancy between the past positive experience and the recent negative one underscores the importance of obtaining current and comprehensive information about the services, features, and management practices at Fairchild Heights Inc.
When considering Fairchild Heights Inc in the context of "RV parks near me," it is crucial to understand that it primarily functions as a mobile home park for long-term residential living. Mobile home parks typically do not offer the short-term amenities and services common in RV parks catering to recreational travelers, such as daily or weekly rates, full RV hookups, dump stations, or recreational programs. Therefore, individuals seeking temporary RV accommodations in the Shelton area should look for facilities specifically advertised as RV parks or campgrounds.
The features of Fairchild Heights Inc, based on the limited and conflicting reviews, are difficult to ascertain definitively. Historically, it was characterized by good management and a tenant-friendly environment. However, recent accounts suggest potential issues with the current management's professionalism and treatment of prospective tenants. The fact that pets are allowed (with weight restrictions, at least for dogs) is one feature mentioned. The long-standing presence of the community in Shelton could also be seen as a feature, providing an established residential option. However, the reported decline in management quality overshadows any potential positive features that might still exist.
Promotional information for Fairchild Heights Inc is not included in the provided reviews. The recent negative experience would likely deter potential residents, while the historical positive review pertains to a time decades in the past. To obtain current information about lot availability, purchase or leasing options for manufactured homes, associated costs (including lot rent and any community fees), and the current rules and regulations of the community (including pet policies), interested parties should contact the park management directly using the provided phone numbers. However, given the serious allegations in the recent review, prospective residents are strongly advised to exercise extreme caution, conduct thorough due diligence, and potentially seek feedback from current residents before making any commitments to live at Fairchild Heights Inc.
In conclusion, Fairchild Heights Inc in Shelton, CT, is a mobile home park with a history of being a well-regarded community. However, recent customer feedback raises significant concerns about the professionalism and management practices currently in place. While the park may offer long-term residential living options, the alleged mistreatment of a prospective tenant and the stark contrast with past positive experiences suggest potential risks for those considering moving into Fairchild Heights Inc. Prospective residents should proceed with extreme caution, conduct thorough investigations, and seek current resident perspectives before making any decisions. It is important to remember that Fairchild Heights Inc functions as a mobile home park, not a short-term RV park.

Fairchild Heights Inc Reviews
This manager took a 250.00 credit check from a friend of mine..Gave her the run around.Made her 14 yr.old son pick up his the Golden retriever and stand on a bathroom scale... dog was 6 lbs over weight Manager said no not the dog this was after he took the money and knew they had a dog of that breed. After he took the money for a supposed credit check and had to wait in the heat on 3 different occasions in a week and a half because he had continual excuses on why he didn't show up to an appointment with her. This guy should be brought before a judge.
