Florida Sands Mobile Home Park Introduce
When searching for "RV parks near me" in St. Petersburg, Florida, it's essential to consider a range of housing options, including mobile home parks that may accommodate RVs for extended periods. Florida Sands Mobile Home Park, located at 2701 50th Ave N, St. Petersburg, FL 33714, USA, presents itself as a residential community. The available customer reviews offer contrasting viewpoints that potential residents should carefully consider.
One former resident, claiming to have lived in the park for over nine years, expressed a highly negative experience, particularly concerning the management, identified as "Fourth Wind properties." This reviewer described them as "the worst" and alleged practices of taking money and then evicting residents. They recounted a personal experience of eviction for non-payment of rent, despite claiming to possess cancelled checks as proof of payment. This individual further suggested that the management's business model involves selling trailers and then profiting from subsequent re-sales after eviction. The review concludes with a strong warning against moving into the park, citing a lack of trust.
In stark contrast, a current and new resident offers a more optimistic perspective. This reviewer stated, "I love where I live!" and described the park as "definitely an older park that's probably seen some bad times but it's on the up and up." This suggests that while the park may have faced challenges in the past, there are ongoing positive developments. The new resident praised their neighbors as "so great" and noted that "trailers are getting renovated," indicating potential improvements to the community's infrastructure and aesthetics. They also mentioned that the "lot rent is cheap but is going up," which they found acceptable as long as the increased funds are used appropriately for park improvements.
These conflicting reviews highlight the importance of conducting thorough due diligence for anyone considering Florida Sands Mobile Home Park as a long-term residence within the "RV parks near me" category. The negative review raises serious concerns about the management practices of Fourth Wind properties, including allegations of unfair eviction practices and a business model potentially detrimental to residents. Such claims warrant careful consideration and investigation by prospective tenants.
On the other hand, the positive review from a current resident suggests a community with a friendly atmosphere and ongoing efforts towards improvement. The fact that neighbors are described as "great" contributes to a sense of community, which can be a significant factor for long-term residents. Additionally, the ongoing renovations of trailers indicate a potential revitalization of the park, which could lead to a more appealing living environment. The mention of increasing lot rent being acceptable if used for improvements suggests that the current management may be investing in the park's future.
Given these divergent experiences, it is crucial for potential residents to gather more information and form their own informed opinion. Contacting Florida Sands Mobile Home Park directly using the provided phone numbers, (727) 470-9367 or mobile phone +1 727-470-9367, would be a vital first step. Inquiries should focus on current management policies, lease terms, eviction procedures, and the specifics of lot rent and any potential future increases. It would also be beneficial to ask about the ongoing renovations and the plans for utilizing any increased rental income.
Furthermore, a visit to Florida Sands Mobile Home Park is highly recommended. This would allow prospective residents to assess the current condition of the park, observe the ongoing renovations, and get a feel for the community atmosphere. If possible, speaking with current residents (beyond the one positive review) could provide a more balanced perspective on the day-to-day living experience and the responsiveness of the management. Asking about their experiences with Fourth Wind properties and any recent changes in management practices could be particularly insightful.
For individuals with RVs searching within the "RV parks near me" category, it is essential to determine whether Florida Sands Mobile Home Park accommodates RVs for long-term stays. Inquiries should include the availability of RV lots, the types of hookups provided (water, electricity, sewage), and any specific rules or regulations pertaining to RV residents. Understanding the infrastructure and services available for RVs will help determine if this park meets the specific needs of RV owners seeking a long-term residential option.
In conclusion, Florida Sands Mobile Home Park in St. Petersburg, FL, presents a mixed picture based on the available customer reviews. While one former resident reported severe issues with the management and eviction practices, a current resident described a positive experience with friendly neighbors and ongoing improvements. For those considering this park as a long-term residence within the context of "RV parks near me," thorough investigation is paramount. Direct communication with the management, a personal visit to the park, and, if possible, conversations with multiple current residents are essential steps to weigh the potential benefits of a potentially improving community against the serious concerns raised by a former long-term tenant regarding the management practices.

Mar 12, 2023 · Del ChurchI am a current and new resident in this park. I love where I live! This is definitely an older park that's probably seen some bad times but it's on the up and up. All my neighbors are so great and trailers are getting renovated. Lot rent is cheap but is going up which isn't a problem as long as the money is being used accordingly.
Nov 10, 2022 · Jason BryantDilapidated and severely in disrepair. The folks that live there deserve a place that is better and safer. Many of the people fix up their own mobiles. These are older mobiles and several of them are like construction office trailer size, they are quite narrow. The roads have huge holes and rocks everywhere. They have speed bumps to keep traffic from ripping through. It is obvious the owner does not care about their property, the tenants, and what is worse, the children living there. The owner should be forced to live there in order to clean up their act.
Dec 31, 2021 · Kirk PetersonWent to pick up a fence that was being given away. Frankly the place was rather dumpy and frumpy looking. It was old and worn out. The property and roads were in disrepair. Residents who had tried to pretty their yards with fencing were forced to take it down after spending the time and money to install it when management changed the rules on them without warning. How unfair is that. I imagine it was probably the only thing that might have been giving the place any personality, but no more. What a waste.
