When choosing a place to reside, especially for longer durations, it's crucial to consider various aspects such as the environment, available services, and overall features. While online listings and basic information provide a starting point, real customer experiences often offer deeper insights into the realities of living in a particular community. In the case of Forest Lodge Mobile Home Park, publicly available reviews paint a concerning picture that potential residents should carefully consider.
Several reviews highlight significant issues that may impact the quality of life for residents. One recurring theme is the perceived lack of upkeep and maintenance within the park. Residents have described the property as not being a "nice place to live" and a "dump," suggesting a potentially neglected environment. Concerns have been raised about the condition of individual trailers, with one reviewer mentioning wiring issues leading to a fire. This indicates potential safety hazards that prospective residents should be aware of and investigate further.
The reviews also touch upon the management and their practices. Allegations of unprofessionalism and dishonesty have been made, including claims of a landlord who "swears by God but treats and steals from people." One specific instance details a dispute over a security deposit, with the former resident claiming that only half was returned despite the property being left in excellent condition. Such experiences can lead to significant frustration and financial loss for tenants.
Furthermore, the suitability of Forest Lodge Mobile Home Park for families with children appears to be a point of contention. One reviewer explicitly states that it is "not kid friendly" and "there is no fun place for kids to play because it's unsafe." The lack of a designated play area, coupled with safety concerns, could make this park less appealing for families seeking a child-friendly environment. The reviewer also mentions restrictions on children's activities during hot weather, further suggesting a potentially unwelcoming atmosphere for families.
The noise level within the park is another concern raised by a resident, who describes it as "not a quiet place to live" due to "loud car slamming" and people speaking loudly. For individuals seeking a peaceful and tranquil living environment, this could be a significant drawback.
Another serious allegation involves the landlord's practice of "reusing things for trailers," which reportedly led to wiring issues and a fire in one instance. This raises concerns about the safety and quality of repairs and maintenance carried out within the park. Additionally, the handling of waste, with one reviewer claiming the landlord disposes of pond waste in dumpsters, could point to questionable environmental practices.
The presence of pests, specifically bed bugs, is also mentioned in one review, indicating potential hygiene issues that were reportedly addressed only after repeated complaints. This highlights the importance of thoroughly inspecting any potential living space for such problems before committing to residency.
Finally, there is a mention of a "dangerous dead tree" that allegedly fell on a resident's trailer, with the subsequent repair being described as a "half asked patch." The reviewer further claims that the landlord collected an insurance check without adequately addressing the damage, displaying a lack of concern for the resident's well-being and the property's condition.
It is important to note that these reviews represent individual experiences and opinions. However, the consistency and severity of the issues raised warrant careful consideration for anyone contemplating residing at Forest Lodge Mobile Home Park. Potential residents are strongly advised to conduct their own thorough due diligence, which may include visiting the property, speaking with current residents (if possible), and asking detailed questions about the management's policies and maintenance procedures.
When searching for "RV parks near me," it's essential to weigh various factors beyond just location and basic amenities. The overall living environment, the responsiveness and integrity of the management, the safety and maintenance of the property, and the sense of community all contribute significantly to a positive living experience. The information gleaned from the available reviews suggests that Forest Lodge Mobile Home Park may fall short in several of these critical areas.
For local users in the Kokomo area seeking RV parks or mobile home living options, it would be prudent to explore alternative locations and compare the services, features, and reputations of different parks. Investigating other "RV parks near me" might reveal communities that offer better maintenance, more transparent management practices, a safer and more enjoyable environment for families, and a greater sense of overall well-being for their residents.
While Forest Lodge Mobile Home Park is listed as an option, the publicly available feedback raises significant red flags. Potential residents should proceed with extreme caution, conduct thorough investigations, and ensure that their needs and expectations can be met before making any commitments. The search for a suitable "RV park near me" should prioritize not just proximity but also the quality of life and peace of mind that a community can offer.
In conclusion, based on the available online reviews, Forest Lodge Mobile Home Park appears to have several significant issues related to maintenance, management practices, safety, and the overall living environment. Local users searching for "RV parks near me" in Kokomo, Indiana, should carefully consider these concerns and are advised to explore other options to ensure a more positive and secure living experience.

Forest Lodge Mobile Home Park Reviews
Not a nice place to live an it's not quite... Not kid friendly an the rent prices is going up..It is not a quiet place to live there is loud car slamming people like to speak loud an the landlord likes reusing things for trailers so you need to watch out for your wiring ours caught on fire most an most of the stuff don't want to work the landlord likes to clean out the pond and put it in the dumpsters trailer 71 likes the flood sometimes and there is no fun place for kids to play because it's unsafe the only way for that place to have any fun is if he has mulch and he does not have the money to put any down so there is no park for kids to play and if he says that they're fixing on getting that worked on they never will. And if you do not pay your rent on time he will take you to court it's an unhappy place to live... When it comes to a hot hot summer days an u just want to help other kids cool down he stops you an takes the fun out of it, there is just no place for kids to play at all here in the park. Watch out I've heard it from other people that the landlords like to pick in through windows..If I post this now then you don't see this know more that means he made us take this down I'm just putting all this out there so you will not make the mistakes of moving in that park an to warned you that he is planning on raising the rent up because of the Battery Plant.oh yeah and watch out for MOLD!!!!!
Nov 09, 2024 · Jessica KingI would never recommend is place. It's a dump, they barely keep up with maintenance. Very unprofessional. My dad put a deposit down and first month's rent with his first big chec from social security, a little over 1200$ total...lived there for about a year and when it was time to moves, he shook hands with him and gave him his word to give him back his damage deposit, cleaned that place spotless, mowed grass one last time, everything from a to z was done and he only wanted to give him half of his deposit back. He pocketed it for his own greed. He swears by God but treats and steals from people. But let's not talk about how there were bed bugs there when my dad first moved in and after complaining and complaining he finally dis something about it. The place is half asked patched together, he also refused to remove a extremely dangerous dead tree and when it fell going through my dad's trailer, wht happened patched it and he collected an insurance check.not giving a damn if someone could've been killed . If you want to keep up a well maintained home, with honest people...this is not the place for you. He will scam and lie and cheat you out of your money
