Stockton, situated in the northern part of California's Central Valley, offers a mix of urban and suburban environments with access to various amenities and services. The location on West Lane places Friendly Village of Stockton within a specific area of the city, and prospective residents would need to assess its proximity to their individual needs, such as healthcare, shopping, and transportation.
The online reviews for Friendly Village of Stockton present a concerning picture regarding safety, management, and the overall living environment. One recent resident, who moved in to care for their mother, expressed significant safety concerns. Within the first month, they reported that their mother had items stolen from her carport and described homeless individuals riding bikes through the park and treating it like a "flea market." This resident explicitly stated that they "probably won’t be here long because it doesn’t feel safe at all." They also mentioned that while there was initially a security guard patrolling in a golf cart, the golf cart was stolen, and patrols have ceased. Despite this, the resident noted that their mother enjoys the monthly dinners, suggesting some level of community interaction, although the reviewer also stated that their mother's neighbors have not been very "friendly" to her.
Another reviewer strongly advises against living at Friendly Village of Stockton, citing the "lack of a qualified manager and management." This individual claims that the management plays favorites and inconsistently enforces its own rules. They also describe the security as "laughable" and state that despite being advertised as a 55 and older community, people with children and grandchildren are permitted to live there. The reviewer concludes by recommending avoiding the park in favor of "much better places to live" unless one prefers "sketchy people to manage living space."
Considering these reviews in the context of individuals searching for "RV parks near me" for long-term living, Friendly Village of Stockton raises several red flags. The primary concern is the reported lack of safety and security, including theft and the presence of non-residents causing disturbances. The negative feedback regarding the management's competence, fairness, and enforcement of rules also suggests a potentially unstable and unpleasant living environment.
The discrepancy between the advertised 55 and older status and the presence of younger residents with children could also be a significant issue for those specifically seeking a senior living community for the peace and quiet often associated with such environments.
While one positive aspect mentioned was the monthly dinners, this single social event may not outweigh the serious concerns raised about safety and management for most prospective long-term residents.
Given the strongly negative feedback, potential residents considering Friendly Village of Stockton as one of their "RV parks near me" should proceed with extreme caution and conduct thorough due diligence. If they choose to contact the management using the provided phone numbers, critical questions to ask should include:
- What are the current security measures in place to ensure the safety of residents and their property? How has the issue of the stolen security golf cart been addressed?
- What are the management's qualifications and experience? How do they ensure consistent and fair enforcement of park rules and regulations?
- What is the actual age demographic of the residents? Is it strictly a 55 and older community, and if not, what are the policies regarding younger residents and families?
- What are the current lot rental rates and what is included (e.g., utilities, amenities)?
- What are the lease terms and requirements for residency?
- What amenities are available for residents (e.g., laundry facilities, community rooms, recreational areas, pet policies, parking)?
- What are the rules and regulations of the park regarding guest access and behavior?
- What is the management's process for addressing resident complaints and concerns?
It would also be highly advisable for prospective residents to visit the park in person, if possible, at different times of the day and week to observe the environment and security situation firsthand. Speaking with current residents (if they are willing to share their experiences) could provide valuable insights that may not be reflected in the limited online reviews.
Considering that Friendly Village of Stockton is listed within the context of "RV parks near me," it is assumed to cater to individuals seeking a more permanent or long-term residential setting for their mobile homes or RVs. However, the negative feedback regarding safety and management raises concerns about the suitability of this park for such purposes.
There is no promotional information available in the provided reviews. Potential residents would need to inquire directly with the management about any current incentives or special offers, but this should only be done after thoroughly addressing the serious concerns raised by the existing reviews.
In conclusion, Friendly Village of Stockton in Stockton, CA, has received concerning feedback from recent residents regarding safety, security, and management practices. While one resident mentioned a monthly dinner as a positive aspect, the overall sentiment suggests a potentially unsafe and poorly managed living environment. Individuals searching for "RV parks near me" in Stockton are strongly advised to exercise caution and conduct thorough due diligence before considering Friendly Village of Stockton as a long-term living option. Addressing the significant issues raised in the reviews with the management and seeking firsthand perspectives from current residents are crucial steps in the evaluation process.

Friendly Village of Stockton Reviews
New to the village. Caring for my mom that’s why I’m allowed to live here. But it’s not safe. One month in and my mom has stuff stolen from her carport. Homeless ride in one their bikes and treat this place like a flea market. We probably won’t be here long because it doesn’t feel safe at all. When we toured the park there was a security guard in a golf cart. Well golf cart got stolen so no one is patrolling the park anymore. Mom likes the monthly dinners. But her neighbors have not been very “friendly” to her. I keep to myself.

Sep 19, 2024 · k.o seangI have a newly found friendship with a couple that has lived in this park for many years. Never have had any negative experiences. Its has very clean and well kept grounds and landscaping. A comfortable and welcoming feel. I would live there certainly.
Mar 05, 2019 · Mom CatTo Becky Miranda, after 30-40 years, management made sure that bingo was taken away from Friday nights or any other night. First time bingo was ever a problem. No other manager had made bingo a problem. Apparently they are more concerned about making money than residents wants and needs. Rent goes up every year but residents rights and activities are taken away. Used to be a place to be proud to live in. Less enjoyment also.
