Frostproof Mobile Village Introduce
For those seeking "RV parks near me" that offer a long-term residential option in the Frostproof, Florida area, Frostproof Mobile Village, located at 375 Co Rd 630 Lot 33, Frostproof, FL 33843, USA, is a mobile home park that warrants consideration. While primarily designed for mobile homes, some such communities may accommodate RVs for extended stays. However, it is crucial to approach this park with a balanced perspective, considering both its potential offerings and the concerns raised by current residents.
Frostproof, Florida, is a small town in Polk County, known for its citrus industry and a more rural setting. Living in Frostproof Mobile Village could offer a quieter lifestyle away from the hustle and bustle of larger cities, with potential access to local amenities and the natural beauty of the surrounding area. For individuals looking for a long-term, potentially more affordable living situation than traditional RV resorts, a mobile home park in this region might be appealing.
However, the limited customer reviews available online paint a concerning picture regarding certain aspects of Frostproof Mobile Village. One recent resident, after only two months, expresses significant frustration with a situation involving their RV and a shed, both reportedly approved before placement. This resident states they are being asked to relocate to a much smaller lot that would not accommodate a screen room, deeming this "unacceptable." The fact that this issue required corporate intervention and was on the verge of resulting in a negative review suggests potential challenges in communication or problem resolution within the park's management structure.
Another long-term resident, having lived in the park for over eight years, raises serious concerns about recurring flooding issues. They report that their place has been flooded for the "last few years" due to clogged drains on the lakeside of the property. Despite multiple requests to management over this period, the drains allegedly remain uncleaned, with the recurring response being that a work order has been submitted. This inaction has apparently led to the road becoming "not even drivable" during periods of heavy rain, particularly concerning as hurricane season approaches. This indicates a potentially significant infrastructure problem that is not being adequately addressed, impacting the daily lives and safety of residents.
Adding to these concerns, the long-term resident also mentions an issue with the community pool, stating that it is "closed for 1 reasons or another every summer" and has not been heated during their eight-plus years of residency. This suggests a potential lack of consistent maintenance or operational issues with a key recreational amenity that residents might expect to enjoy, especially in the Florida climate.
Given these reviews, it is challenging to provide a detailed description of the positive aspects of the environment, services, and features at Frostproof Mobile Village based solely on this information. However, we can infer some basic elements typical of a mobile home park:
- Individual lots: Residents would have individual lots for their mobile homes, and potentially for long-term RV stays if permitted. The size and layout of these lots appear to vary, as highlighted by the issue of relocation to a smaller lot.
- Utility hookups: Standard utilities such as water, sewer, and electricity would be provided to each lot.
- Roadways: Internal roads for vehicular and pedestrian access within the park. The review mentioning undrivable roads due to flooding suggests potential issues with the maintenance or drainage of these roadways.
- Potential amenities: The mention of a pool indicates the presence of at least one recreational amenity, although its reliability seems questionable based on the resident's comment. There may be other standard amenities like laundry facilities or common areas, but these are not mentioned in the provided reviews.
- On-site management: A management team is present to oversee the park's operations, although the reviews suggest potential shortcomings in their responsiveness to resident issues.
Due to the negative experiences highlighted in the reviews, any potential positive aspects of the environment, such as the lakeside location mentioned in the context of the flooding issue, are overshadowed by the reported problems. The proximity to a lake could be an attractive feature, offering potential views or recreational opportunities, but the associated drainage issues appear to negate these benefits for some residents.
Regarding promotional information, none is mentioned in the provided reviews. Given the serious concerns raised by current residents, it is unlikely that the park would be actively promoting new occupancy without addressing these issues. Potential residents would need to inquire directly about any current rates or incentives, keeping in mind the reported challenges.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" for a long-term stay, Frostproof Mobile Village presents a cautionary case. While the location in Frostproof might be appealing to some, the reported issues with management responsiveness, recurring flooding due to inadequate drainage, and problems with amenities like the pool are significant red flags. It is strongly recommended that anyone considering residency at Frostproof Mobile Village conduct thorough due diligence. This should include:
- Directly contacting the management: Inquire about the issues raised in the reviews, specifically the drainage problems, the pool's operational status, and the situation regarding lot assignments for RVs.
- Visiting the property: A personal visit would allow potential residents to assess the environment, the condition of the infrastructure, and the overall atmosphere of the park. Pay close attention to drainage around lakeside areas and the condition of the roads.
- Speaking with current residents: If possible, try to speak with current residents beyond those who have left online reviews to get a broader perspective on living conditions in the park.
In conclusion, while Frostproof Mobile Village in Frostproof, FL, is an option for long-term residential seekers, including those who might be looking for extended RV stays, the available customer reviews raise serious concerns about the park's management responsiveness to resident issues and the maintenance of essential infrastructure, particularly drainage. The reported problems with flooding and the inconsistent operation of amenities like the pool should give potential residents pause. Thorough investigation and direct communication with the park management and current residents are crucial before making any decisions about residing at Frostproof Mobile Village.

Frostproof Mobile Village Reviews
I have been here for 2 months and I need some assistance from Corporate. I have a huge issue that needs to remedied ASAP. I am being told after 2 months of putting my RV and shed on the property. Yes, both were approved before being placed on property.....I have to relocate to another lot that is much smaller and no room to add a screenroom. This is unacceptable and I am trying not to leave a negative review but as of now it looks as if my hands may be tied. I hope that this gets resolved.
Jan 20, 2025 · Christina BurnsMy mom and I have lived here for over 8 years. For the last few years our place has been flooded due to the drains on lake side not being cleaned out. We have asked management several times to clean them and they always tell us that they put in a work order for it. Well here we in hurricane season and nothing is still done. The road isn’t even drivable due to how much rain gathers there.Every summer the is closed for 1 reasons or another and it’s definitely not heated. Hasn’t been since we have lived here.
Jul 10, 2023 · Melissa SheehanI have lived here for 8 years. And for the last 4 years I have flooded. They keep saying they’re going to clean the drains out on the lake side. They haven’t yet and probably won’t either. Now we are in the process of having 2 hurricanes coming at us and they’re still not cleaned out. I know I’m going to flood again. They’re packed with dirt, grass and sand. It’s like they don’t even care. They never even came down to check on us after the last flood. We had fish swimming in our living room. No cared. No helped. No one checked on us.
Aug 27, 2023 · Patty FraleyI have live at Frostproof Mobile village the pool heater has been on or for 2 years. The part needs to be reordered. The residents deserve what is advertised on the website . Heated Pool this is a contradiction. This pool is not heated. The staff Angel and John are doing a terrific job. They are doing the best they can under the circumstances. John continues to keep the pool clean and does a wonderful job keeping the grounds well maintained.
