Sunrise Trailer Park Inc Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the Frostproof, Florida area, Sunrise Trailer Park Inc, located at 20 Graner Dr, Frostproof, FL 33843, USA, offers a unique setting directly on the shores of Reedy Lake. With phone numbers (800) 484-5684 and +1 800-484-5684, this RV park presents a blend of natural beauty and potential challenges based on recent visitor experiences.
For those specifically seeking "RV parks near me" with waterfront access and natural attractions, Sunrise Trailer Park Inc boasts a significant advantage due to its location on Reedy Lake. According to one former visitor who rented a lot for an extended period, the "view right on Reedy Lake was beautiful!" This scenic environment provides opportunities for relaxation and enjoying the natural surroundings directly from the park. Furthermore, the same visitor highlighted that "fishing was great," making this a potentially attractive destination for anglers seeking a lakeside RV experience.
The natural environment around Sunrise Trailer Park Inc appears to be a significant draw. The presence of an "eagles nest" and "sandhill crane birds" that could be fed indicates a thriving local wildlife population, offering opportunities for birdwatching and nature enthusiasts. The observation of "otters swimming" further underscores the rich biodiversity of the area and the potential for engaging with nature during a stay at the park. For those who appreciate wildlife and a tranquil lakeside setting, Sunrise Trailer Park Inc offers these appealing features.
However, alongside these natural benefits, some recent experiences suggest potential drawbacks regarding the park's management and maintenance. One former long-term visitor reported that the park was "not maintained by the parks manager" and that after a hurricane, "the residents cleaned the park up." This raises concerns about the level of upkeep provided by the management. The visitor was also informed that the "owner wants to sell the park so he doesn’t care about maintaining it," which, if accurate, could explain the reported lack of maintenance and potentially impact the overall quality of the park.
Another point of contention for the former long-term visitor was the unexpected installation of "cheap water meters" after they had already established a rental agreement that included electric and presumably water in the monthly rent. The introduction of a separate water billing system not outlined in their original contract led to their departure. This suggests a potential lack of transparency or changes in billing practices that prospective visitors should be aware of and clarify before committing to a stay.
Social dynamics within the park also appear to be a factor to consider. The former long-term visitor mentioned that "mostly northern snowbirds were rude and unfriendly," contrasting this with the positive interactions with "local ppl are great." This suggests a potential divide in the community atmosphere depending on the time of year and the mix of residents. While this is subjective, it's a point worth noting for those seeking a consistently welcoming social environment among fellow RVers.
A more recent experience from an individual attempting to rent a spot for their RV paints a concerning picture of the park's management and infrastructure. This prospective visitor detailed receiving initial information about rental costs, background checks, pet policies, income requirements, and move-in costs via email. However, upon traveling two hours to visit the park after informing the manager of their arrival, no one was present to meet them. Subsequent communication revealed a policy against renting to "loud motorcycles" – a restriction not mentioned in the initial information provided. This lack of communication and the imposition of an unadvertised restriction led to a negative first impression and a wasted trip.
Furthermore, this prospective visitor spoke with a current resident who described the management as "HORRIBLE" and stated that the "property is literly falling apart." A specific and alarming example given was a "bulkhead has a gaping sink hole large enough for my seven year old to completely fall through!" This serious safety concern, if accurate, indicates a significant lack of maintenance and potential negligence on the part of the park management. The resident also reportedly stated that the owner lives out of state and is unaware of the park's poor condition, believing it to be well-managed.
Based on these recent accounts, while Sunrise Trailer Park Inc benefits from a beautiful lakeside location on Reedy Lake with opportunities for fishing and wildlife observation, there are significant concerns regarding the park's management, maintenance, and communication with prospective and current visitors. The reported lack of upkeep, unexpected billing changes, and unprofessional interactions with management are serious issues that potential visitors should consider.
For those still interested in the potential of Sunrise Trailer Park Inc due to its location, it is strongly recommended to contact the management directly at (800) 484-5684 or +1 800-484-5684 to inquire about the current conditions of the park, the status of maintenance and repairs, and to clarify all rental terms and policies, including any restrictions on vehicles or additional fees. A personal visit to inspect the property and speak with current residents (if possible) would also be advisable to gain a firsthand understanding of the environment and the management situation.
In conclusion, Sunrise Trailer Park Inc offers a potentially attractive lakeside setting in Frostproof, FL, with natural beauty and recreational opportunities. However, recent feedback raises significant concerns about the park's management, maintenance, and communication. Prospective visitors should weigh these factors carefully and conduct thorough due diligence before making a decision to stay at this RV park.

Sunrise Trailer Park Inc Reviews
Rented a lot from 3/2022-11/2022 we parked our camper. We stayed there on weekends since we lived and worked 1 1/2 hrs away. All seemed nice until the park was not maintained by the parks manager. After that hurricane came through the residents cleaned the park up. Was told owner wants to sell the park so he doesn’t care about maintaining it. So true! We paid monthly for the rent & electric. Then they installed some cheap water meters for us to pay water? It wasn’t in our contract. Mostly northern snowbirds were rude and unfriendly. But the best part was the eagles nest, sandhill crane birds that I fed cracked corn (there favorite), fishing was great, local ppl are great, otters swimming, and of course the view right on Reedy Lake was beautiful! After they installed the water meter we left. I miss that place but not the snowbirds!
Feb 28, 2024 · diane turleyContacted management about renting a spot for our RV. I was emailed a list of requirements including rental cost, background check (link) pet fees and restrictions for pets. Income requirements, and move in costs. I informed the Manger I was on my way to see the park and I was two hours away. I was advised his or her assistant would be there to show me around. When I arrived.. No one was there to meet us. I messaged the manager and mentioned we rode our motorcycles and we had arrived. And was waiting for the assistant. I was answered with WE DONT RENT TO LOUD MOTORCYCLES. This, without ever meeting with anyone. Not only that but initially the manager keep repeating this multiple times in Response to my question about someone meeting us. Only after expressing how upset my wife and I were that NOTHING was mentioned about motorcycles restrictions in ALL the info I was sent. Not to mention we saw at least two motorcycles (Harleys) owned by park residents in the park. And that they were aware we rode two hours to get there and meet up and tour the property and no one ever showed. This was extremely unprofessional. After, walking around and talking to a current resident I was flat out told the management there is "HORRIBLE"! property is literly falling apart. The buldhead has a gaping sink hole large enough for my seven year old to completely fall through! The resident informed me the owner lives in Maine and has only been seen 3 times at the property and is under the impression the park is well managed. It is not!
