Golden Cove Introduce
For local users exploring "RV parks near me" with potential long-term living options or those interested in short-term cabin rentals within a mobile home park setting, Golden Cove, located at 2334 San Bar Rd in Graford, Texas, offers a unique environment. While primarily a mobile home park, reviews suggest the presence of cabins available for rent, providing a different type of accommodation for those seeking a stay in the Graford area. The park is noted for its natural beauty, including wildlife sightings, and ongoing efforts to improve its rental cabins, alongside commendations for its staff and the quality of its linens.
One of the most striking aspects of Golden Cove, highlighted by a reviewer who performed work on the premises, is its scenic environment. The reviewer specifically mentioned that "deer the go right up to the houses," describing it as "pretty neat to see." This close interaction with wildlife suggests a tranquil and nature-filled setting, which could be a significant draw for local users seeking "RV parks near me" that offer a peaceful escape and opportunities to observe nature. The presence of deer so close to the residences indicates a relatively undisturbed natural habitat surrounding the mobile home park.
However, reviews also point out significant limitations within the rental cabins at Golden Cove. Multiple concerns are raised regarding the lack of storage and basic amenities. One reviewer explicitly states, "There is NO storage at all in these cabins. No place at all to put a suitcase, no place to hang a wet towel. NOTHING." This lack of storage could be a major inconvenience for both short-term and potentially long-term guests staying in the cabins, making it difficult to keep the living space organized and comfortable.
Adding to the limitations, another reviewer noted the absence of "kitchen items of ANY kind," except for a "small drip coffee pot." While this was reportedly mentioned in the description (though requiring careful reading to find), the lack of basic kitchenware such as dishes, cutlery, cookware, or even a microwave could significantly impact the ability of guests to prepare meals within the cabins. Local users considering a stay in these cabins should be aware of this and plan accordingly, bringing their own kitchen essentials if needed.
Further underscoring the limited amenities, a reviewer mentioned the lack of even basic bathroom provisions, stating, "No place to put a toothbrush in the bathroom. I had to keep my shampoo in the sink and keep reaching out of the shower to use it because there was no place to put it in the shower." This lack of shelving or storage in the bathroom adds to the overall impression of minimally equipped cabins.
A significant security concern was initially raised regarding the cabin doors, with a reviewer stating, "Can't lock the door. Can't unlock the door." However, an update to this review indicates that this issue has been addressed, as the reviewer noted, "UPDATE- they did fix the locks." This suggests that the management is responsive to addressing critical maintenance and safety issues.
On a more positive note, one reviewer mentioned that "it appears they are doing some repairs and updates on the cabins," expressing hope that some of the aforementioned issues with storage and amenities will be addressed in the future. This ongoing effort to improve the cabins could signal a commitment to enhancing the guest experience over time.
Two aspects of Golden Cove that consistently receive positive feedback are the quality of the linens and the helpfulness of the staff. One reviewer was "quite surprised" by the "top-notch" quality of the towels, noting that they were better than those found in many nice hotels. The bed linens also received praise for being "very nice." This focus on providing high-quality linens contributes to the comfort of the stay, despite the shortcomings in other areas.
The staff at Golden Cove are also commended, with a reviewer stating, "The staff was really good. That makes up for a lot of the missing amenities." Friendly and helpful staff can significantly improve the overall guest experience by providing assistance, addressing concerns, and creating a welcoming atmosphere. This positive feedback about the staff suggests that guests can expect good service during their stay.
Considering the information from the reviews, Golden Cove offers a mobile home park environment with rental cabins that provide a scenic setting with potential wildlife sightings. While the cabins have received criticism for a lack of storage and basic kitchen and bathroom amenities, the park is reportedly undergoing updates. Guests can expect high-quality linens and helpful staff. For local users exploring "RV parks near me," Golden Cove might be an option to consider if the natural environment and friendly service are priorities, and if they are prepared for the limited amenities within the rental cabins.
As Golden Cove is primarily a mobile home park, the availability and nature of RV sites are not detailed in the provided reviews. Local users specifically looking for traditional RV sites with hookups would need to inquire directly about this. The focus of the reviews is on the rental cabins available within the park.
No specific promotional information is included in the reviews. Local users interested in the cost of cabin rentals, long-term rates for mobile home spots (if applicable), or any special offers should contact Golden Cove directly at (940) 654-3060 or +1 940-654-3060. Inquiring about the progress of the cabin updates and whether any improvements have been made to storage and amenities would also be beneficial.
In conclusion, Golden Cove in Graford, Texas, offers a mobile home park setting with rental cabins that boast a scenic environment and friendly staff. While the current state of the cabins is noted to have significant limitations in terms of storage and basic amenities, ongoing updates suggest potential improvements in the future. The provision of top-notch linens adds a touch of quality to the otherwise minimally equipped accommodations. Local users considering a stay at Golden Cove should weigh the beautiful natural surroundings and helpful service against the reported lack of in-cabin amenities and contact the park directly for the most up-to-date information on availability, pricing, and any recent improvements.

Aug 29, 2021 · Mike RollinsDo not do business with this place, extremely rude to contractors, demand an immediate resolution. Expected a person he called for help to have "A magic wand to wave" without fully giving an explanation of the issue. Stay away!
