Searching for "RV parks near me" in or around Gunter, Texas? Good Shepherd RV Park and Storage, located at 1096 Fox Ln, Gunter, TX 75058, USA, offers a potentially excellent option for both short-term stays and those seeking RV storage solutions. Based on recent customer feedback, this park appears to prioritize a welcoming atmosphere and caters particularly well to pet owners. This detailed introduction aims to provide local users with a comprehensive understanding of the environment, services, and features of Good Shepherd RV Park and Storage, enabling you to determine if it aligns with your needs.
The environment of Good Shepherd RV Park and Storage seems to be a significant draw for visitors. One reviewer described it as a "nice place" and another noted that the park was "well maintained and very quiet." This suggests a clean and peaceful setting, which is often highly valued by RV travelers seeking a relaxing stop. While specific details about the landscaping, shade, or overall aesthetic are not extensively described, the positive comments imply a comfortable and well-kept environment. The location in Gunter, Texas, offers a more rural setting, potentially providing a quieter experience compared to RV parks situated directly within larger urban areas. For those looking to escape the hustle and bustle while still having access to local amenities, Gunter could offer a pleasant balance.
Services and features at Good Shepherd RV Park and Storage appear to be geared towards ensuring a comfortable and convenient stay. A standout feature, particularly for pet owners, is the provision of "nice" dog runs. Furthermore, the park offers the significant advantage of allowing dogs off-leash in a designated "field," which one reviewer enthusiastically highlighted as a "big plus." This pet-friendly approach is a major selling point for travelers with dogs who appreciate having safe spaces for their animals to exercise freely. The availability of RV storage on-site is another notable service, offering a convenient solution for those who reside in the area or plan to return and need a secure place to store their RV when not in use. This dual offering of RV parking and storage adds to the park's versatility and potential appeal to a wider range of users.
In terms of specific site features, one reviewer who stayed in site A08, accommodating a 45-foot Class A RV, mentioned that the site was "kinda on the down hill." However, they also noted that by parking closer to the electric box, leveling was achievable. This suggests that while some sites might have a slight grade, they are generally manageable even for larger RVs. It also implies the presence of essential hookups, including electricity. The mention of an electric box indicates the availability of electrical connections for RVs. While not explicitly stated, it is reasonable to infer that water and sewer hookups are also likely available, as these are standard requirements for most RV parks, especially those catering to larger vehicles and longer stays. However, to be certain, potential guests should confirm the specific types and availability of hookups at each site.
The positive feedback extends to the park's management. One reviewer described the "staff/owners" as "very friendly and welcoming." This personal touch can significantly enhance the overall experience, making guests feel more comfortable and valued. The willingness of the staff to be welcoming suggests a commitment to customer satisfaction, which is a crucial aspect of a positive RV park stay. While the reviews don't detail specific services provided by the staff, such as check-in procedures or assistance with site setup, the friendly demeanor indicates a helpful and accommodating approach.

Apr 23, 2025 · monte smithWhat a wonderful, peaceful park! We have stored our camper here for the last year and had a great experience. We are so glad that we made the decision to pull it out of storage and into a covered site for the months that we are visiting our North Texas grandchildren. Such an easy transition! The facilities are impeccably clean and well maintained. The managers and the owner are extremely helpful and friendly. We are 100% satisfied with our experience at Good Shepherd RV Park and Storage.
