Based on the positive reviews from recent guests, Granite Rock RV Park stands out for its tranquility and the thoughtful amenities provided. One long-term visitor who stayed for a whole month highlighted the park's quiet and dark environment, making it an excellent location for stargazing right outside your RV door. This peaceful ambiance is a significant draw for those looking to escape the noise and light pollution of more urban areas.
A notable feature of Granite Rock RV Park is its clubhouse. This communal space offers a range of amenities that enhance the comfort and convenience of guests, especially for those whose RVs might not have full facilities. The clubhouse includes two washers and two dryers, making laundry easy and accessible. It also boasts a full kitchen, providing guests with a space to prepare meals if their RV kitchen is limited or if they prefer a larger cooking area. Additionally, the clubhouse features a "nice bath with shower," offering a comfortable and clean option for personal hygiene. For relaxation and socializing, the clubhouse is equipped with couches, chairs, and a TV with a DVD player, creating a welcoming space to unwind.
The essential provisions for RV living are also well-covered at Granite Rock RV Park. Each of the eight spaces is equipped with water, electricity, and sewer hookups, ensuring a comfortable and functional stay for RVers. This availability of full hookups is a standard expectation for most RV travelers and is a significant convenience.
The location of Granite Rock RV Park is another key advantage. Situated in Kingsland, it offers easy access to a wealth of attractions and natural beauty in the surrounding area. The park is a short distance from several notable towns, including Llano, Burnet, Marble Falls, and Lampasas, providing opportunities for exploring local shops, restaurants, and cultural sites. Nature enthusiasts will appreciate the proximity to Longhorn Caverns, a fascinating natural landmark worth visiting.
Water lovers will find the location particularly appealing due to its proximity to numerous bodies of water. Lake LBJ, a popular destination for boating and water sports, is easily accessible. The Llano and Colorado Rivers also offer opportunities for fishing, kayaking, and enjoying the scenic riverbanks. One reviewer specifically recommended visiting "the Slab on the Llano," a unique natural rock formation on the Llano River that is particularly enjoyable for those who appreciate geological features and outdoor exploration.
The reviewer also noted that while the road to the public boat ramp nearby can be busy during the day, this is likely due to the popularity of Lake LBJ and the ease of access it provides. The park's proximity to a Senior Center might also be a consideration for some travelers, although its direct impact on the RV park experience is not detailed in the reviews.
The overall sentiment from the provided reviews is overwhelmingly positive, with one guest stating definitively, "I WILL DEFINITELY COME BACK." This strong recommendation speaks volumes about the positive experience of staying at Granite Rock RV Park, particularly highlighting its quiet atmosphere, excellent amenities within the clubhouse, and convenient location for exploring the region.
Given its small size with only eight spaces, potential visitors are advised to book in advance, especially during peak travel seasons, to secure a spot at Granite Rock RV Park. While no specific promotional offers are mentioned in the reviews, it is always worth contacting the park directly at (325) 388-8900 or +1 325-388-8900 to inquire about any current specials or discounts for daily, weekly, or monthly stays. Granite Rock RV Park Reviews
Stayed the whole month. Only 8 spaces. Clubhouse provides 2 washers and 2 dryers, full kitchen, nice bath with shower and couches and chairs + tv and DVD. Very quiet and dark. Were able to star gaze sitting right outside my door. Road to public boat ramp busy during day. Senior Center next to park. Location is great. Very short distance to Llano, Burnet, Marble Falls, Lampasas, Longhorn Caverns. Lots of water....Lake LBJ, Llano and Colorado River......Don't miss going to the Slab on the Llano, especially if you like rocks. I WILL DEFINITELY COME BACK.
Aug 31, 2019 · Julia LuedtkeProvisions for water, electricity and sewer are available at the site. If your camper doesn't have a kitchen and bathroom, the common area has them including entertainment. The place is quiet and clean.
