Green Acres RV Park Florida LLC Introduce
If you're searching for "RV parks near me" in the McAlpin, Florida area and value a peaceful, spacious environment, Green Acres RV Park Florida LLC, located at 14833 US-129, might be the perfect destination for you. Based on recent customer reviews, this RV park offers a unique experience catering to those who appreciate tranquility and self-sufficiency.
One of the standout features of Green Acres RV Park is its spacious sites, equipped with full hookups. This provides RVers with all the necessary utilities for a comfortable stay, including water, electricity, and sewer connections. The availability of "plenty of grass" at the sites adds to the appeal, offering a pleasant outdoor space to relax and enjoy the Florida weather. The park seems well-suited for RVers of all sizes, providing ample room to maneuver and set up camp.
The environment at Green Acres RV Park is consistently described as quiet and somewhat secluded. One reviewer noted "very little road noise at night," contributing to a serene atmosphere. For travelers seeking a respite from busy campgrounds or noisy highways, this could be a significant advantage. The park's location, while feeling secluded, is also conveniently located only 10 miles from Live Oak, where essential amenities such as Walmart and gas stations are readily accessible. This balance of peacefulness and proximity to necessities offers the best of both worlds.
Green Acres RV Park also appears to be pet-friendly, with a notable feature being a "nice, fenced dog park." This is a significant benefit for RVers traveling with dogs, providing a safe and dedicated space for their furry companions to exercise and socialize off-leash. The presence of turkeys and chickens roaming the property adds a unique, almost farm-like charm, which was particularly enjoyed by visitors and their pets alike. These resident animals offer a touch of novelty and a connection with nature.
However, it's important to note that Green Acres RV Park currently operates with minimal amenities. Based on customer feedback, there are "no amenities at all," specifically mentioning the absence of a public bathroom, laundry facilities, and an events building. The reviews indicate that the park caters primarily to self-contained RVers who have these facilities within their own units. While this might not be suitable for all travelers, especially those who rely on campground amenities, it contributes to the park's quiet and low-key atmosphere.
The ownership and management of Green Acres RV Park seem to be a defining aspect of the visitor experience. One reviewer who stayed during Hurricane Helene praised the owners, Tom and Sue, for their exceptional hospitality and flexibility during a challenging situation. They were commended for honoring weekly rates and even opening a large field for boondocking when the park was full, demonstrating a commitment to accommodating travelers in need. This positive account suggests that the owners are responsive and willing to go the extra mile for their guests, particularly in unforeseen circumstances.
Conversely, another reviewer who stayed for four nights while visiting the area had a different experience regarding interaction with the owners and other guests. They reported a "no contact" stay, with minimal interaction from the owners and no conversations with other campers. This suggests that the park may have a significant number of long-term residents and that the overall atmosphere tends to be more private and less community-oriented. For those seeking a quiet, independent stay with minimal social interaction, this could be ideal. However, travelers who enjoy a more social campground environment might find this aspect less appealing.
The same reviewer also noted the presence of several young Hispanic families with small children, indicating a diverse community within the park. While they found the children adorable, this observation contributes to the understanding of the park's demographic and the potential for family-friendly interactions, even if broader social engagement wasn't their personal experience.
Information regarding expansion projects or promotional offers is not available in the provided reviews. One reviewer noted that the park appeared to have opened two years prior to their visit and observed no ongoing expansion. For the most current information on any potential developments, long-term stay discounts, or other promotional rates, it is advisable to contact Green Acres RV Park Florida LLC directly at (386) 382-1330 or +1 386-382-1330.
In conclusion, Green Acres RV Park Florida LLC in McAlpin offers a quiet and spacious camping experience with full hookups and a fenced dog park. It is particularly well-suited for self-contained RVers who appreciate a low-contact environment and proximity to nature, including the unique presence of turkeys and chickens. While it currently lacks traditional campground amenities like public restrooms and laundry facilities, the positive feedback regarding the owners' helpfulness during emergencies and the peaceful atmosphere make it a noteworthy option for those seeking a tranquil "RV park near me" in the McAlpin area. Green Acres RV Park Florida LLC Reviews
We stayed here four nights while visiting friends in the area. The owner met us at our drivers window, when we pulled up, directed us to our site # and we never saw him again nor his wife, ever. In fact, not one person spoke to us in four days. We went outside hoping to meet someone, anyone. The turkeys and chickens and cat came to see us often, which we loved. Our cats were especially interested. There were, what seemed to be many, long term people here. We were surrounded by several young Hispanic families with small adorable children. If you want a quiet no contact place to stay, this is perfect. If you’re a people person that loves to connect with others, not so much. There are no amenities at all. No public bathroom. No laundry. No events building. I see that this place opened two years ago? I see no expansion projects in progress. I am saying all of this in truth, not to complain. We’re just passing through and will most likely never return, so we wouldn’t stay here in the future anyway. I will say that the Tom Turkey is beautiful and unique. His head and neck look like something out of Star Wars. 🤣 The black and white cat was very friendly and well fed. She wasn’t interested in sharing Temptation treats with our cats. The chickens liked them more.
Feb 24, 2025 · Sherri WalkerDue to Hurricane Helene, we hunkered down at Green Acres on the way to Tampa and ended up staying 7 nights when Tampa had widespread power outages. Tom and Sue were the best! We couldn’t tell them when we would be leaving and they let us and many others stay until we could safely go. They still honored their weekly rate and, once full, even opened their large field for anyone who wanted to boon dock.Sites were spacious with full hookups, plenty of grass and very clean. Nice, fenced dog park and there are turkeys and chickens for the kids to see. Very little road noise at night. It feels like a secluded area, but is only 10 miles from Live Oak (Walmart, gas, etc). It’s best if you are self-contained as there is no bath house or laundry at the campground yet.
Oct 21, 2024 · Janine RubilottaWe enjoyed the peace and quiet! Tom & Sue are very gracious hosts also! Very accommodating! We loved that the turkeys, and chickens free range, always came to visit and definitely humanize, come right up to you, loved it and be able to visit our site. Would definitely stay again, and we highly recommend this campground for anyone traveling up and down US Hwy 129. Live Oak is a short ride, has what you would need.Thank you for our enjoyable stay!

Dec 18, 2024 · Meadow thorneAn impromptu trip to McAlpin, FL to work on our property 5 minutes away from this hidden new little gem, Green Acres Campground owned and operated by the nicest folks, Tom and Sue. Spacious sites with lots of room. Minutes from a few rivers and springs. Quiet and quaint setting. Until our property is ready, we definitely will be spending time here along with friends and family.
