GSP RV Park Introduce
For those searching for "RV Parks Near Me" in the Greer, South Carolina area, GSP RV Park, located at 894 Robinson Rd, Greer, SC 29651, USA, presents itself as a potential option for both short-term and potentially long-term stays. You can reach them at (864) 655-4399 or via mobile phone at +1 864-655-4399 to inquire about availability and specific services. Based on recent customer feedback available online, GSP RV Park offers a mixed experience, with positive aspects regarding the physical park and some concerns raised about management and policies.
One of the frequently highlighted features of GSP RV Park is its quiet environment. One reviewer explicitly mentioned, "If you like a quiet place, it's great." This suggests that the park may offer a peaceful and tranquil setting, which can be a significant advantage for travelers and long-term residents seeking a calm atmosphere. The physical layout of the park includes gravel back-in sites with paved patio areas, as noted by a satisfied overnight guest. These sites were described as spacious enough to comfortably accommodate a 43-foot fifth wheel and a truck, indicating ample room for larger RVs. Additionally, this reviewer reported excellent water pressure at their site, a practical aspect that contributes to a comfortable RV living experience.
For pet owners, the presence of a dog park at GSP RV Park is a notable feature. One reviewer traveling with three dogs specifically mentioned that the "dog park was a huge win for us," allowing their pets to exercise and burn energy after a long travel day. This amenity can be a significant draw for RVers who travel with their furry companions, providing a dedicated and safe space for dogs to play and socialize. Furthermore, this reviewer noted that other people they met at the dog park were also "absolutely lovely, very welcoming & friendly," suggesting a potentially positive social environment among pet owners within the park.
In terms of location, GSP RV Park appears to offer convenient access to local amenities. One reviewer mentioned that downtown Greer is about a 10-minute drive from the park and described it as a "very nice downtown area with lots of delicious food options." They specifically recommended the Cartwright food hall (Mi Irie - Jamaican) and Barista Alley for coffee and cake, indicating that residents and visitors have easy access to dining and local attractions. This proximity to downtown Greer adds to the appeal of the park, offering a balance between a quiet park setting and access to urban conveniences.
However, the reviews also raise some significant concerns regarding the park's management and policy enforcement. One lengthy and emotionally charged review details a distressing experience related to extending a stay due to a family medical emergency. The reviewer, who initially discussed their situation with the management and received verbal confirmation for an extension, later faced a sudden demand to leave with only two weeks' notice. This abrupt change in plans caused significant hardship and distress, particularly given the reviewer's need to be close to their child undergoing cancer treatment. The reviewer expressed frustration with the manager's alleged lack of communication, frequent absence from the park, and refusal to honor her verbal agreement. This paints a picture of potentially unreliable management and the importance of getting all agreements in writing.
Another review touches upon issues related to pet policies and enforcement. This reviewer claims that while their dog, whose breed is supposedly restricted according to park rules, was being compliant and regularly taken to the dog park, other dogs of explicitly restricted breeds were staying at the park without issue. This raises questions about the consistency and fairness of pet policy enforcement. The reviewer also mentioned an instance of trying to help another resident by hanging tarps to prevent their dog from getting tangled, which seemed to be viewed negatively by the management, although this is not entirely clear. This review also highlights a discrepancy between the management's actions and their communication, as the dog breed issue was only mentioned in response to the review itself, not during the resident's stay.
Based on the available information, GSP RV Park offers a quiet location with spacious sites and a dog park, which are definite positives. It also benefits from its proximity to downtown Greer and reportedly has good water pressure. For short overnight stays, as indicated by one positive review, it seems to be a pleasant and accommodating option, especially for those traveling with pets and appreciating a friendly atmosphere at the dog park. The military discount offered is also a commendable feature.
However, potential long-term residents should be aware of the concerns raised regarding management practices, communication, and policy enforcement. The negative experiences shared by some reviewers suggest that it is crucial to have all agreements, especially those regarding the duration of stay and any exceptions to park rules, clearly documented in writing. The alleged inconsistencies in policy enforcement, particularly concerning pet breeds, could also be a point of concern for some RV owners.
Promotional information for GSP RV Park is not explicitly provided in the reviews. Based on the positive aspects mentioned, potential promotional points could include the quiet and spacious sites, the on-site dog park, the convenient location near downtown Greer, and the reported friendly atmosphere among some residents. Highlighting the military discount could also attract a specific segment of the RVing community. However, the park would need to address the concerns raised about management and communication to ensure a consistently positive experience for all guests.
In conclusion, GSP RV Park in Greer, SC, offers a mix of positive attributes, such as a quiet environment, spacious sites, and a dog park, making it potentially appealing for both short and long-term stays within the "RV Parks Near Me" category. Its proximity to local amenities in downtown Greer is also a plus. However, potential residents should carefully consider the concerns raised in some reviews regarding management practices and policy enforcement. It is highly recommended that prospective guests communicate directly with the park management to clarify any policies and ensure all agreements are in writing before committing to a stay. This due diligence will help ensure a more predictable and satisfactory experience at GSP RV Park.

GSP RV Park Reviews
I have DNA on my dog showing his breed. He is not a breed that it's allowed. There are pits staying at the park, but my dog is not one of them.I hung the tarps to help the lady in front of us. Her dog on a cable would get upset and get tangled under her camper. The tarps stopped this. I felt sorry for her having to get under her camper. If I was hiding him, I wouldn't have took him to dog park each day. I understand the reservation policy. If I had of been told NO, we don't have a spot to extend, id have no issue. I asked if we had done anything wrong, was told no. This is the first, on this review response that I'm hearing of any dog issue! ThanksI NEVER have left a bad review but so upset!!We came to the park to stay a month due to my daughter having brain cancer. The park is 3 miles from her home. Discussed this with management. I called to extend our stay, she said no problem and extended it another month. As we had already discussed the situation. She was on vacation again as she is never here. It's a unmanned park pretty much. We talked on the phone while she was vacationing about staying 3 more months. She said as long as I was willing to move around, maybe even go to the other park, it would be fine.A few weeks pass and she says that we need to leave in 2 weeks! I reminded her of our conversation She continued to say that all she could do is go off the application date. That contract was up 6 week before. She refused to stand behind her word. If that was the case, management should have said. If you can't take management at their word? We pretty much begged for her to stand behind her word! Can't find place on 2 weeks notice near my dying child!! She rudely says, sorry for the inconvenience!! This is not a inconvenience. I have to take her 5 mornings a week for chemo. So found a place 30 miles away and will be moving soon. You can't run a campground from Daytona or New Mexico. She was in both in last month, tell us whatever you want while your gone then figure out a way to fix your mistakes when your back at the huge cost of guest. With the importance of me being close to my child, NO way I wouldn't have had a place secured so her life makes no sense..One bad manager can destroy a park. She seems put out to do her job and rude on top of it.I would want to stay anyway now but I'll keep a check on the park and come back in the future once under new management. I have no complaints about the park itself. If you like a quite place, it's great. Just get everything in writing...lolI am still in tears over all this. Thanks
Mar 17, 2025 · TERESA WILBERThis was a great place to stay for the night, we definitely felt like we could have stayed longer if our travel plans permitted. Staff was absolutely lovely, very welcoming & friendly, as was everyone else we met at the dog park. The dog park was a huge win for us, our 3 dogs loved playing in there and burning some energy after a long travel day.We did appreciate that they offered a military discount. Our spot was back in, gravel with a paved patio area. It was big enough for our 43 ft fifth wheel and truck to park comfortably. Water pressure was great! There were not any restrooms and laundry facilities ( which is fine for us), but they did mention the owner will be building another park in the near future offering those amenities. We had great cell service while we were here.Nearby we went into downtown Greer (about a 10 minute drive), was a very nice downtown area with lots of delicious food options ! We got food at the Cartwright food hall (Mi Irie- Jamaican) = DELICIOUS , coffee + cake from Barista Alley= AMAZING !We would definitely stay here again and would love to explore the area!
Nov 01, 2022 · SEREANA SCHARAPENKO-TAYLORI LOVE this place!!! Very neat and clean. They do a fantastic job of maintaining the park. They have a great little dog parks my pups really enjoy. It's quiet and relaxing with a couple of fire pits. Sites are plenty roomy...not crammed in like in some parks. Propane on site. But my absolute favorite thing at this park is the people who run it. The owner lives on site and is a great guy. Super nice! And the lady that manages the park (Cyndi) is absolutely amazing! They are so thoughtful and kind and take such great care of their guests. If you're ever in the Greenville/Greer/Spartanburg area of South Carolina, I HIGHLY recommend staying here. I like it so much I don't want to leave!
Jan 12, 2021 · Steve JonesThis is a well-maintained park with very friendly staff and guests. Spacious dog park, fresh gravel in the spots, fire pit area with string lights. We had a change of plans the morning of checkout, and they let us check out a little late since the park wasn’t fully booked, which was so helpful and kind of them. The park is centrally located near downtown Greer (very cute with lots of shops and restaurants) and a short drive from Greenville and Travelers Rest. We will definitely be back while passing through this area next time!
Jan 31, 2024 · Alyssa BeanSuper friendly and accommodating park manager! This is my second stay and I couldn't be happier. Before this stay and my last I checked out every local RV park and this is by far the best. It's convenient to I85 with shopping and dining nearby. There is a great communal area with firepit and free firewood. The onsite propane refill is handy and if you should need parts or service there are two RV dealerships nearby. This isn't a high dollar resort nor is it a run down trailer park. Its just a great reasonable RV park with newer rigs and friendly staff.
