This used to be a very fun place. It is still family-friendly and a great little community. People respect the property and keep it clean quiet time is respected and has a very old-school neighborhood feeling. The owner on the other hand has started running good families out by raising prices and making up new "Park rules" that change several times a day. Good luck to anyone that moves in, especially for a long period of time. - Joe

Happy Hollow RV Park Introduce

For local users seeking "RV parks near me" in the Checotah, Oklahoma area, Happy Hollow RV Park is located at 109645 OK-150, Checotah, OK 74426, USA. Based on the available customer reviews, there appears to be a significant shift in the park's atmosphere and management style, which potential guests should carefully consider.

One reviewer reflects on a past positive experience at Happy Hollow RV Park, describing it as "a very fun place" that was "still family-friendly and a great little community." They highlight that "people respect the property and keep it clean," and that "quiet time is respected," fostering an "old-school neighborhood feeling." This positive recollection suggests that the park once offered a desirable environment for RVers, particularly those seeking a community-oriented and respectful setting.

However, the same reviewer expresses concern about the current management, stating that "the owner on the other hand has started running good families out by raising prices and making up new 'Park rules' that change several times a day." This indicates a potential issue with unpredictable management practices and increasing costs, which could negatively impact both short-term and long-term stays. The reviewer concludes with a cautionary note, wishing "good luck to anyone that moves in, especially for a long period of time," suggesting potential instability or dissatisfaction among current residents due to these changes.

Another reviewer paints a starkly negative picture of the current state of Happy Hollow RV Park. They pose a rhetorical question about the experience of having a "relaxing lake place" while constantly worrying about violating one of the "800 rules in the lease agreement" and losing the lease. This hyperbole strongly suggests an overly restrictive and anxiety-inducing environment under the current management. The reviewer goes on to compare the experience to "enjoying a camping experience with Hitler," a highly charged analogy indicating a perceived authoritarian and unpleasant atmosphere. They further describe "muddy beaches" as a feature, which may be a literal description of the lake access or a metaphorical representation of the overall disappointing environment. The reviewer's sarcastic conclusion, "If muddy beaches and Hitler is your thing, than happy hollow is the bees knees," leaves no doubt about their extremely negative assessment of the park.

Based on these two reviews, the environment of Happy Hollow RV Park appears to have transitioned from a pleasant, community-oriented setting to one characterized by unpredictable rules, potential price increases, and a perceived overbearing management style. The mention of a "lake place" suggests that the park may offer access to a lake, which could be an attractive feature for those who enjoy water-based activities. However, the negative descriptions of the management and the potential for a stressful environment might outweigh this natural amenity for many potential guests.

Specific services and features of Happy Hollow RV Park are not detailed in the reviews, beyond the mention of lake access and the implication of standard RV hookups necessary for long-term stays (as families were reportedly residing there). Information regarding the availability and quality of electrical, water, and sewer hookups, as well as other common RV park amenities such as restrooms, showers, laundry facilities, or recreational areas, is not provided. The focus of the reviews is primarily on the management and the overall atmosphere of the park.

The fact that the park was once considered "family-friendly" suggests that it may have previously offered amenities or an environment catering to families. However, the current concerns about management and rules raise questions about whether this remains the case. Potential local users with families should inquire specifically about any family-oriented facilities or policies currently in place.

Promotional information, such as rates for RV sites (daily, weekly, or monthly) or any special offers, is not included in the provided reviews. The one reviewer's comment about the owner "raising prices" indicates that costs may be a factor to consider, but without specific figures, it is impossible to assess the affordability of Happy Hollow RV Park compared to other "RV parks near me" in the Checotah area. Local users would need to contact the park directly at (918) 473-5450 or +1 918-473-5450 to inquire about current rates and any potential discounts for short-term or long-term stays.

In conclusion, for local users searching for "RV parks near me" in Checotah, Oklahoma, Happy Hollow RV Park presents a cautionary tale based on recent customer reviews. While it may have once been a pleasant and family-friendly community with lake access, current feedback strongly suggests significant issues with the park's management, including unpredictable rules and potential price increases, leading to a stressful environment for residents. Potential RV guests should carefully weigh the potential benefit of lake access against the serious concerns raised about the management and overall atmosphere. It is highly recommended that prospective visitors contact the park directly to seek clarification on current policies, rules, and rates, and perhaps even try to speak with current residents to get a more comprehensive understanding of the present living conditions before making a decision to stay at Happy Hollow RV Park.
