Hickory Creek RV Park Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" in the Neosho, Missouri area? Hickory Creek RV Park, situated at 318 Washington Ave, Neosho, MO 64850, USA, offers a location with a notable natural feature. You can contact them at (417) 451-8050 or their mobile line at +1 417-451-8050 for inquiries and reservations.
According to customer reviews, Hickory Creek RV Park presents a mixed experience. On the positive side, the park itself is described as "clean," suggesting that maintaining a tidy environment is a priority. Additionally, the presence of a "nice creek" is highlighted, indicating a potentially attractive natural amenity for visitors to enjoy. The clear and nice water of the creek could offer opportunities for relaxation and enjoying the outdoors right within the park's vicinity.
One reviewer also noted the beautiful setting of the park, further emphasizing the aesthetic appeal of the location. The comparison to parks in Neosho suggests that Hickory Creek RV Park might share some of the desirable characteristics mentioned, such as "cozy little spots" that offer a sense of privacy and separation, contrasting with large, open areas. This could appeal to RV travelers seeking a more intimate and less crowded camping experience.
However, it's crucial to consider the less favorable aspects mentioned in the reviews. One customer reported a significant issue regarding the availability of assistance, stating, "If you need anything or assistance there is no one out there to help you." This suggests that on-site support or management presence might be limited, which could be a concern for travelers who might require assistance during their stay.
Another important factor to note is the park's location "by a busy road." This could result in noise levels that some visitors might find disruptive. Additionally, the reviewer mentioned "lots of people in and out of the park," advising visitors to "make sure to keep an eye on your stuff," implying potential security concerns or a lack of a strong sense of controlled access.
The most significant issue raised in the reviews pertains to the park's policies regarding repeated stays, specifically within a one-month period. One customer recounted a negative experience with an individual identified as "Nancy in city hall," who apparently manages the park. The reviewer stated they were accused of "setting up residence" after staying at the beginning and end of July, even with a valid reason for the second visit. The interaction described involved what the reviewer felt were inappropriate questions and rude behavior, culminating in being told not to return for six months.
This experience highlights the importance of understanding the park's policies regarding the duration and frequency of stays, especially if you anticipate needing to visit multiple times within a short period. It suggests that Hickory Creek RV Park may have strict rules about long-term stays and how they differentiate between temporary visitors and those potentially establishing residency. It is strongly recommended that prospective visitors clarify these policies with the management before booking, particularly if they foresee staying for extended periods or returning within a month.
The reference to "Nancy in city hall" managing the park is noteworthy. It suggests a potential connection to the local municipality, which might influence the park's regulations and management style. This could also explain the specific policies regarding repeated stays if they are tied to local ordinances or park regulations aimed at preventing unauthorized long-term occupancy.
For those searching for "RV parks near me" that offer a clean environment and access to a pleasant creek, Hickory Creek RV Park might be appealing. The potential for cozy, less crowded spots could also be a draw. However, it is essential to weigh these positives against the reported lack of on-site assistance, the proximity to a busy road, potential security concerns due to traffic in and out of the park, and, most importantly, the strict policies regarding repeated stays and the reported negative check-in experience.
Prospective visitors should contact Hickory Creek RV Park directly at the provided phone numbers to inquire about their current policies, on-site amenities, security measures, and to clarify any concerns regarding the check-in process and rules about the frequency and duration of stays. Asking specific questions about on-site management availability and the park's approach to guest interactions would also be prudent.
While the positive reviews mention a clean park and a nice creek, the negative review raises significant concerns about management interactions and park policies. Therefore, it is crucial for potential guests to gather more information directly from the park to make an informed decision based on their individual needs and expectations for an "RV park near me." Understanding all aspects of Hickory Creek RV Park, both positive and negative as reported by previous visitors, will help ensure a more predictable and satisfactory experience.
In conclusion, Hickory Creek RV Park in Neosho, Missouri, offers a potentially pleasant environment with a creek and clean surroundings. However, prospective guests should be aware of potential limitations regarding on-site assistance, the park's location near a busy road, and the reportedly strict and potentially negative experiences related to check-in and repeated stays. Direct communication with the park management is highly recommended to clarify policies and expectations before making a reservation.

Hickory Creek RV Park Reviews
The park itself is clean and the creek is nice. If you need anything or assistance there is no one out there to help you. By a busy road and lots of people in and out of the park so make sure to keep an eye on your stuff. The problem is checking in. By golly don't dare stay twice in one month. They will accuse you of setting up residence there. I stayed there the beginning of July so fireworks wouldn't damage my camper as we were doing them close to where it was parked. My husband works on the road and was not available to park it back for me so I've been learning to drive the truck and camper. We are getting ready to take a big trip but since my father has been in bad health and I am still learning I didn't want to go far from home. So at the end of July I thought I'd come back for a week and stay again. I got a lot of grief from Nancy in city hall acting like I was some homeless woman and was mistreating the park. She asked questions she didn't have the right to ask and she was quite rude. From what I've heard this is not the first time she's treated people like this. Our conversation ended with her walking away barking at me not to come back for 6 months and don't worry I won't be coming back again after that.
Aug 07, 2022 · Ashley SKool place. Beautiful place. Clear nice water.Wish a cities and towns around here took a page from Neosho's play book and made their parks so nice and cozy. Their parks have cozy little spots and not just large spread out open areas with tables in the middle. People like getting away from the crowd to eat, rest and play. That's why your house has walls. To separate one room from another. The parks should be the same kinda. Have some different areas to do different activities.
Oct 21, 2023 · J. M.Ok place. A little steep on price considering there are zero amenities in the actual rv area. Bathroom is across the highway and not convenient for late night needs. Trains seemingly going by constantly throughout the night made it hard to sleep. Lots of people in the rv area at the creek that weren’t staying there. It was clean however and the utilities worked.
Jun 26, 2023 · Mowa GuardGreat park! Stayed here fishing the Hickory Creek which is literally 30 steps away. Good fishing! Occasional locals driving though and frisbee golfers playing several times a day, but all extremely nice and waving. Trains pass through quite often, NO HORN! You get use to hearing there motors and ignore them in short order.
Oct 19, 2019 · Randal CampWe live in Neosho so we haven't stayed in an R.V here. It would be a great place especially if you're visiting relatives or staying awhile as it is close to everything. We usually come here with our kids as a quick cool off in the creek. As you see by the photos I bring my dog Chip here to cool off as well. It's just a quick few min & we're here, it's just on the edge of town as is part of Morse park which this is just a little piece of it. There is a lot more park & it all has the creek running through it.
