Hidden Forest Introduce
Are you currently searching for "RV parks near me" in the Accord, New York area, or perhaps considering a mobile home park for a long-term residential option nestled in a potentially scenic environment? Hidden Forest, located at 19 Mettacahonts Rd, Accord, NY 12404, presents itself as a residential mobile home park that may appeal to individuals seeking a community setting. For those interested in learning more, the park can be contacted at (845) 399-8253 or +1 845-399-8253.
Based on the limited customer review available, Hidden Forest appears to have undergone a recent shift in its management and community rules, which has impacted at least one long-term resident. The reviewer states that Hidden Forest "Was a great place to live up until recently." This suggests that the park may have previously offered a more relaxed or permissive living environment that was appreciated by its residents.
However, the review details several significant changes implemented by the "New management" that have been met with dissatisfaction. These new rules include prohibitions on several activities that residents may have previously enjoyed or found necessary. Specifically, the reviewer mentions that residents are now "not being allowed to work on your own car," "not being allowed to have a bonfire pit," "nor have a clothing line, or dog run."
The reviewer expresses understanding regarding the potential desire to prevent "junk cars in their driveway," indicating a willingness to adhere to reasonable community standards. However, they find the blanket prohibition on working on their own car, even for essential maintenance like transmission work, to be "ridiculous," as it now necessitates taking their vehicle to a professional shop. The restrictions on bonfire pits, clothing lines, and dog runs also suggest a move towards stricter regulations on personal activities and property use within the community.
Considering this single, yet detailed, review, Hidden Forest presents a situation where potential residents need to carefully weigh the potential benefits of the community against these newly implemented and restrictive rules. While the park may still retain positive aspects from its past, the current living experience appears to be significantly shaped by these new regulations.
For anyone considering Hidden Forest as a potential "RV park near me" for long-term residential living, it is crucial to engage directly with the management to gain a comprehensive understanding of all current rules and regulations. This will help determine if the restrictions align with your lifestyle and needs.
When you contact Hidden Forest, be sure to ask detailed questions about the following aspects to form a well-rounded understanding of the community:
Environment:
- Inquire about the overall environment of the park. While the review doesn't explicitly describe the physical setting, the name "Hidden Forest" suggests a potentially wooded or natural environment. Ask about green spaces, landscaping, and the general ambiance of the community.
- Determine the proximity to local amenities in the Accord area, such as shopping centers, grocery stores, healthcare facilities, and recreational opportunities.
- Ask about the size of the park and the layout of the lots.
Services:
- Inquire about the essential utilities provided (water, sewer, electricity) and how they are billed to residents.
- Ask about waste management services, including trash and recycling procedures.
- Determine if the park offers any additional services or amenities for residents.
- Specifically ask about the current rules and regulations regarding vehicle maintenance on-site, bonfire pits, clothing lines, and dog runs, as highlighted in the review. Understand the rationale behind these rules and any potential exceptions.
- Inquire about the process for addressing resident concerns and the availability of on-site management.
Features:
- Ask about the size and layout of available lots and any restrictions on the size or type of mobile homes permitted.
- Inquire about all current rules and regulations of the community, as the recent changes appear to be a significant factor in the resident experience.
- Determine if there are any community events or activities that foster a sense of belonging among residents, especially in light of the new management and rules.
- Inquire about any security measures in place within the park.
- Ask about the terms of residency, including lot rental fees and any other associated costs.
Promotional Information:
Given the recent changes in management and rules, it is essential to directly inquire with the Hidden Forest management about any promotional information they may be offering to attract new residents. They may highlight other aspects of the community that they believe are positive. It would be prudent to balance any promotional information with a thorough understanding of the current rules and regulations and how they might impact your living experience.
When considering mobile home parks in the context of "RV parks near me," it's important to understand that while both offer community living, they cater to different housing needs. Mobile home parks like Hidden Forest typically involve a longer-term commitment, often with residents owning their homes and leasing the land. The rules and regulations can significantly impact the lifestyle within the community. Traditional RV parks, on the other hand, often accommodate a more transient population and may have different amenities geared towards recreational vehicles and shorter stays.
In conclusion, Hidden Forest in Accord, NY, presents a situation where a recent change in management has led to the implementation of new and restrictive rules that have negatively impacted at least one long-term resident. While the park may still offer a potentially appealing environment (suggested by its name), prospective residents must directly engage with the management to obtain a comprehensive understanding of all current rules and regulations, particularly those concerning vehicle maintenance, recreational activities, and personal property. This thorough inquiry is crucial to determine if the current living environment at Hidden Forest aligns with your needs and preferences for long-term residential living in the Accord area, whether you are considering it as a mobile home park or as a long-term option in your search for "RV parks near me."

Hidden Forest Reviews
Was a great place to live up until recently. New management added a bunch of new rules such as not being allowed to work on your own car, not being allowed to have a bonfire pit, nor have a clothing line, or dog run. I can understand that you wouldn't want to have people having junk cars in their driveway? But because I live here I now have to take my car to a shop if I want to work on my transmission, ridiculous.
