Buttersville Campground Reviews
Best camping I’ve been to so far in MI. The beach is breathtaking, the campground very clean. There was a lot of harbor noise at night but nothing too bad. Restrooms are clean. There is about 80 steps to get down to the beach so it’s a workout to get back up but so worth it.
Sep 29, 2024 · Erica MahnsLovely campground!! We will be back! This campground is located right on Lake Michigan which made for a spectactular beach day adn beautiful sunsets. It is a 10 minute drive from downtown Ludington where we hit up some shops like "Sister Bees" & "Sexy Nomad". There is also a super great disc golf course called "Leviathan" located about 8 minutes from the campground!Overall - we were very pleased. Enjoyed celebrating our 5 year anniversary in nature at such a beautiful, clean, & quiet campground.
Jul 16, 2024 · Abigail KubeckThe family and I really enjoyed the campsite. We did not want to leave. The playground is not to far from any site. The view of Lake Michigan is amazing. The beach is super clean. The showers and bathrooms are clean. We will definitely be back next year.
Aug 04, 2023 · William WThis is a smaller campground so if you want to stay here I would definitely reserve in advance! We arrived without a reservation in the evening and the campground was full :( but we asked anyway. The staff was extremely accommodating and found us a spot where people left early which was amazing that they took the time to check! The whole time we were there staff would go around and make sure everyone was doing okay on there site and even made sure you could get your fire started etc.The bathrooms were actually really clean and they were following social distancing rules nicely. They also had two outhouse type bathrooms which are what you expect (they clean this down every morning). The showers were decent as well for a campground. The campground area was very clean, and swept for any debris so you don't have to worry about your tent. There is enough room in each spot to park your vehicle and if you have extra cars there is space on the side of the park to park them!Ok now the area! Extremely beautiful ❤️ my pictures just don't do justice. The beach area stayed really private with only the camping people on it. To the right there was additional beach area for added space which people went to in the mornings. If you are ever looking for a place to stay up in Michigan this is the place to go!
Jul 26, 2020 · Kat G.Amazing campground. Clean bathrooms, showers, and an updated playground. Everyone was very friendly. If you buy wood it’s $10 for a as much as you can fit in wheelbarrow. They sell ice there as well. But nothing beats the views of the lake. Well worth the drive to Michigan. Will be back :)
