Illahee Shores Community LLC & RV Park Introduce
Illahee Shores Community LLC & RV Park, situated at 4330 Illahee Road NE in Bremerton, Washington, presents itself as a dual-purpose property, catering to both long-term mobile home residents and potentially offering spaces for recreational vehicles. For individuals searching within the category of 'RV parks near me' and considering various living arrangements, Illahee Shores warrants a careful and informed evaluation based on available public feedback.
Historically, according to one former resident who lived in "Space X" within the park from 2009 to 2016, certain areas of Illahee Shores were more desirable, featuring fewer mobile homes per street and larger backyards with natural amenities like blackberry bushes. This paints a picture of a community that, at least in some parts, offered a degree of spaciousness and natural beauty. The mention of its past, overlooking the water and Bainbridge Island in the 1960s, suggests a potentially scenic location that may have been a significant draw in its earlier years.
However, the same former resident also highlighted significant challenges during their time at Illahee Shores. These included issues with "undesirables" within the park, drug-related problems, and difficulties faced by management in handling evictions. The absence of an on-site manager, with the manager residing in Rocky Point and visiting periodically, may have contributed to some of these challenges. The unique anecdote of the manager bringing goats to graze on the hillside behind the resident's property adds a peculiar detail to the management style at the time.
Disturbingly, the former resident also recounted a series of violent incidents that occurred at or near their property over the years, including a decades-old unsolved murder of a previous owner, a shooting related to a drug deal, and a homicide and arson incident in a nearby mobile home. While these are historical accounts and do not necessarily reflect the current safety situation, they are part of the publicly available information and should be considered by potential residents.
A more recent review from an individual who knows people living in Illahee Shores paints a starkly different picture, describing the place as a "dump" and alleging unethical behavior by the owner, referred to as "Craig." This review claims mismanagement by a former on-site manager, including the alleged mishandling of rent payments, and accuses the owner of illegal eviction practices, such as changing locks without court approval and entering rented property without proper notice. These are serious allegations concerning the owner's understanding and application of landlord-tenant law.
Furthermore, this recent review raises concerns about the quality of the water supply within the park. The reviewer also recounts instances of the owner allegedly making offers to purchase trailers to expedite move-outs, only to retract these offers later, potentially leaving residents in precarious situations after they had begun packing or moving. Additionally, there are claims of the owner or managers asking residents for their green cards, which could raise legal and ethical questions depending on the context and purpose.
The recent review concludes with a strong recommendation against living at Illahee Shores and mentions that residents are purportedly organizing to pursue legal action against the owner due to the alleged mismanagement and unlawful practices. The reviewer also indicates an intention to publicize these issues further through media outlets. The connection made to "the well known drug zone RockyPoint," allegedly also owned by the same individual, further contributes to a negative perception presented in this review.
Considering the platform category of 'RV parks near me,' it is important to note the dual nature of Illahee Shores as both a mobile home community and an RV park. The reviews provided primarily focus on the experiences of mobile home residents and raise significant concerns regarding safety, management practices, and the overall living environment. While RV spaces might offer a different experience, potential short-term or long-term RV occupants should be aware of the issues raised by the mobile home residents, as management and overall park conditions could potentially affect all residents.
Based on the provided reviews, the features and environment of Illahee Shores Community LLC & RV Park appear to be a subject of considerable debate and concern:
- Past Scenic Location: Historically described as overlooking the water and Bainbridge Island.
- Variable Living Conditions: Some areas within the park were reportedly better than others.
- Reported Safety Concerns: Historical accounts of violent crime and more recent mentions of "undesirables" and drug issues.
- Management Issues Allegations: Including lack of on-site management in the past, alleged illegal eviction practices, and unethical dealings.
- Water Quality Concerns: A recent review mentions "no good" water.
- Conflicting Resident Experiences: A stark contrast between a former long-term resident's mixed experience and a more recent, highly negative account.
No specific promotional information is available in the provided text. Individuals considering Illahee Shores Community LLC & RV Park, whether for mobile home living or as an RV park, are strongly advised to conduct thorough due diligence. This should include contacting the park management directly to inquire about current conditions, policies, and any ongoing issues. It would also be prudent to seek out more recent reviews from a wider range of sources and, if possible, speak to current residents to gain a balanced and up-to-date understanding of the community.
In conclusion, Illahee Shores Community LLC & RV Park in Bremerton, WA, presents a complex picture based on the available reviews. While it may have had a more positive past and offered certain appealing features like larger yards in some areas, more recent feedback raises significant concerns regarding safety, management practices, and the overall living environment. For those searching for 'RV parks near me' or considering long-term residency in a mobile home, a cautious and thorough investigation of Illahee Shores is highly recommended before making any decisions.

Illahee Shores Community LLC & RV Park Reviews
I lived there in Space X from 2009 to 2016. I lived in a better part of the park as there were only 2 mobile homes on the street. I had a great back yard full of black berries. We did get some undesirables in the park and management had a hell of a time getting them evicted. There were lots of drugs but got rid of most of them. At the time there was no onsite manager as the manager lived in Rocky Point and did come over. Used to bring his goats to eat the hillside grass behind my place. Also, in 2000 the lady who had owned my place from 1964 until she was murdered there on the night of June 16, 2000 was 90 years old. No one has ever been caught. 2003 girl down the street shot and killed in drug deal gone bad and then in Oct 2009 woman brought wrong guy home and he killed her and set fire to her mobile home.I sold in 2016 and I love my expando home, but had to leave due to a bad relationship issue and moved to Palm Springs, cA. Hot in the summers and I do miss living at Illahee at that time of year.Have heard it is getting better but it will never be what it was in the 60's when it was a nice park overlooking the water and BI.l
Feb 07, 2021 · Lee BoatwrightI do not live here but know a few different people who do. This place is a dump. The owner is a sneaky guy too. They had a manager who was NOT following rules and also taking money from people paying rent. This would be the owners fault for hiring snakes. He has illegally evicted people and does not know the law. You can not no matter what, change locks on a home with out the approval of a Judge in superior court. Also you can not come on the property, because it is being rented, to take pictures under someone's house. You must give notice. The owner Craig thinks he is the law. The water is no good there. He told one person that he'd buy their trailer of they were out by a certain time and then he backed out. He offered to buy it because he knows he was in the wrong. Even though someone is NOT the owner, if they are occupying the home and receive mail, they are then tenants. You have to go through the whole eviction process legally. The judge has the final say. He trys to scare people into moving. That doesn't work. Very sneaky. The park is banning together to sue him and many people outside the mobile can't believe what he's doing. I'm going to write an article in the paper because it is just unreal. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone what so ever. He also owns the well known drug zone RockyPoint. Oh, and he tells people he'll buy the place by a certain time, which the person will pack and have things moved out, and then he says nevermind on buying it because he thinks it'll be easier to get them out since they're all packpacked the day he was supposed to buy the trailer. He told one last that if they move out, that he'll help them get ownership of the trailer. Another scam to get them out. Did i mention the managers we asking people for their green cards?
Aug 16, 2018 · Linda DeLaceyThis is really a nice place to live, but sadly there are always a few bad apples in the community and thankfully the management is addressing those who violate those rules. We greatly appreciate what they're doing to make it a nicer and safer community. It's obvious the people who posted below are totally clueless to the park rules, or the RCW codes for the state of Washington, I worked as a Paralegal for a long while and see many of these ad hoc "invent a lawyer" people who always quote some made up right or law that does not exist. Negative posts like below is a shame to see, as it does not give a true view to how nice it can be to live here and the good friends we made. It's funny how people can not pay rent, let their home fall down, become squatters, not have a title to their home and then get upset when they're legally forced out. If you want to live here, come to talk to the residents who really represent the park, not those who whine when busted for their own bad behavior and lack of responsibility.
Aug 17, 2018 · David FieldsLots of rats! They need to put out traps, if the people I know who live their didn't have their dog they would be invaded by rats, the place was open next door to buy I took a look and the rats had chewed through everything, we moved a pile of wood and about 10 rats came running out that were like 2 ft long they were huge! Disgusting! The people I know, who live there put a ton of money to fix up the place, coming from another state they had no idea the reputation it has, sadly But graciously they are looking for another place , I'm doing my best to find a place they can get into so they don't have to live amongst giant rats that literally will walk right into your freaking door like they own the place. Health board!! Help them get it right there. O M G!
May 18, 2019 · Alanna LyonsThe manager of this park is working hard to rejuvenate it.There is zero trash, rats, or problems. In a six month span she's removed problem trailers and is constantly working to do more to improve the quality of all who live there. Great lady.
