If you value a relaxed setting with a strong sense of neighborliness, Indian Rock RV Park & Campground could be your next home away from home on the road.
The Welcoming and Relaxing Environment: One of the standout features consistently mentioned in the reviews is the welcoming and relaxing atmosphere of Indian Rock RV Park & Campground. Visitors describe both the staff and fellow campers as "super nice," fostering a sense of community within the park. Imagine arriving and being greeted by friendly faces, with neighbors readily offering assistance, as one reviewer recounted receiving ice on their first night. Another heartwarming anecdote involves a neighbor gifting a beloved toy to a visiting dog, illustrating the genuine warmth experienced by guests. This emphasis on a positive and neighborly environment can significantly enhance the overall camping experience, making it feel more like a temporary community than just a place to park your RV.
Friendly and Helpful Staff: The positive interactions extend to the park's staff, who are repeatedly described as "very friendly and helpful." One reviewer specifically praised the office staff for their welcoming demeanor, especially as first-time visitors. Their willingness to go the extra mile is evident in the example provided, where the owner allowed a guest with a 30-amp camper to use an adapter at a 50-amp site, even offering the option to purchase it for future use, despite having never met the guest before. Such accommodating and helpful service can make a significant difference, especially for those new to RVing or encountering unexpected needs during their stay.
Clean and Well-Maintained Bathrooms: For many campers, the cleanliness of restroom facilities is a crucial factor in their overall experience. Indian Rock RV Park & Campground receives high marks in this regard, with reviewers specifically noting that the bathrooms were "very clean." This attention to hygiene contributes significantly to the comfort and satisfaction of guests, making it a notable positive aspect of the park.
Spacious Sites and Amenities: The campground offers sites that are described as "large" with "plenty of room to park our truck," indicating that guests with larger vehicles and setups should find adequate space. Additionally, the park provides amenities such as a "nice dog park," which is a significant benefit for travelers with furry companions, offering a dedicated area for them to exercise and socialize safely. The mention of "some amenities" suggests that there are additional features available for guests to enjoy, although the specifics are not detailed in the provided reviews.
Areas for Potential Improvement: While the positive aspects of Indian Rock RV Park & Campground are prominent, one review offers a more balanced perspective, noting that "overall things were a little run down compared to most campgrounds we have been to." Specific areas mentioned for potential improvement include the laundry room, which "definitely needs some work." Additionally, the pool is described as having "tons of potential," but was unusable on one occasion due to "very dirty" water. The reviewer also mentions that the area is "very sandy," which they acknowledge is beyond the park's control but likely contributes to the overall cleanliness challenges.
Objective Assessment: Based on the available reviews, Indian Rock RV Park & Campground appears to be a place that excels in creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, with clean bathroom facilities and spacious sites. The staff is consistently praised for their helpfulness. However, potential guests should be aware that some of the infrastructure, particularly the laundry room and potentially the pool, may be in need of updating or improved maintenance. The sandy environment is also a factor to consider, as it may impact overall cleanliness.

The clean bathrooms and spacious sites are definite pluses. However, it's advisable to be prepared for potentially dated facilities in areas like the laundry room and to inquire about the current condition of the pool if that is a priority for your stay. The welcoming atmosphere and positive interactions with staff and fellow campers seem to be a consistent highlight, promising a relaxing and enjoyable experience for those who value a strong sense of community during their travels.

Indian Rock RV Park & Campground Reviews
We stayed here this past weekend and it was the most relaxing time. The people who worked there and stayed there were super nice! The neighbors on one side gave us ice in the first night and the ones on the other side gave our dog a toy that she loved! This was our first time there and the office staff couldn’t be more friendly. We were staying at a 50 amp site and only had a 30 amp camper and the owner let us use an adapter which we ended up buying in case we needed it again and they never met us before! The bathrooms were very clean and that’s a huge plus. I highly recommend staying there and we will for sure be back! You guys were great!
Sep 01, 2024 · Danielle PentAll of the employees were very friendly and helpful. Our site was large and had plenty of room to park our truck. They had a nice dog park and some amenities.Overall things were a little run down compared to most campgrounds we have been to. The laundry room definitely needs some work. The pool has tons of potential, but the day we were going to swim the water was very dirty so we didn't go in. It is also just a very sandy area, which I know they can't control, but that probably factors into why everything was so dirty.
Aug 01, 2024 · Will GausmanWe stayed here about a month ago. Afterward, we left a review critical of their "seasonal" campers' having unkempt and messy spots and how the rest of the campground seemed nicer compared to where our spot was. Our main issue was with the permanent campers on either side of us, who had unsightly debris, trash and clutter piled about. One had his grill way too close to where our camper (or anyone else staying in that spot) had to park to hook up.However, after we recently stayed at another campground up the road, who also patronizes seasonal residents, we realize we owe this campground owner a more favorable review. The sites were spacious and well-shaded. They organized activities that fostered community among campers, and it was surprisingly peaceful—especially in comparison to our latest experience. The staff was friendly, and despite some untidy seasonal spots, which I was told would be cleaned up, the campground was quite nice. Our initial review was influenced by our fear and stress of potentially returning to a damaged, smoked out or even burnt camper, which we should have communicated instead of avoiding confrontation. We hope they'll forgive us and allow us the opportunity to return. Yes, we have removed our somewhat critical review after witnessing the competition.
Aug 05, 2024 · Donna AThis place is more of a residential RV park than a vacation spot. A good pit stop not far from Six Flags Great Adventure. It has electric, waste and water hook ups. It was very quiet. Residential RVs where parked very close so you felt like you didn't want to make too much noise.
Sep 04, 2024 · ErikD 804Getto campgrounds that could be turned into a nice campground resort. The prices per night is way to high for what you get. It's obvious the owner doesn't care and has no pride in the grounds. Pool needs to be maintained and cleaned, vacuumed. A little paint would help on the buildings. Garbage laying next to the dumpsters, come on really? Broken down vehicles which is why I consider this a ghetto campground. If you are seeking a place that is close to the beach and you can suck up the negatives then it's ok. I was there a week and honestly couldn't wait to leave with lousy Internet even my Verizon hotspot nor my dish could pick up a signal. Good Luck!
