Jacksonville RV Resort Introduce
Jacksonville RV Resort, located at 740 Bybee Dr in the historic town of Jacksonville, Oregon, aims to provide a resort-style experience for RV travelers and potentially long-term residents in the "RV parks near me" category. Situated in a region known for its history and natural beauty, the resort's location offers convenient access to the attractions that draw visitors to Jacksonville.
However, recent customer feedback indicates significant changes and concerns regarding the resort under new ownership. Several reviews point to a shift from its previous iteration as the Covered Wagon, with mentions of discontinued tent camping and alterations to the park's environment and amenities. Potential visitors and those considering long-term stays should be aware of these recent developments as they evaluate their options among "RV parks near me."
One recurring theme in the reviews is the closure of facilities, specifically mentioning that the laundry facilities (washer and dryer) have been locked for repairs for an extended period, reportedly close to a year. This lack of essential amenities could be a significant inconvenience for travelers and long-term residents alike, especially those relying on on-site facilities. It is advisable to inquire directly with the management about the current status and availability of all advertised amenities before making a reservation or commitment.
Another significant concern raised by reviewers pertains to the removal of trees within the park. According to one review, "so many beautiful trees" were cut down, leading to intervention from the city, which reportedly limited further removal to pruning and the removal of old branches. The loss of mature trees can impact the overall ambiance and shade within the park, potentially altering the natural and "enchanting" environment that previous visitors appreciated. For those seeking RV parks with natural beauty and shade, it would be prudent to assess the current state of the landscaping at Jacksonville RV Resort.
Furthermore, concerns have been expressed regarding rental rates at Jacksonville RV Resort. One reviewer stated that "rents are inflated," particularly impacting retired seniors living on fixed incomes. The review suggests that these increases may be substantial enough to potentially displace long-term residents. This information is crucial for individuals seeking affordable long-term RV living options in the Jacksonville area. It is recommended to inquire about current rates and any potential future increases before making a decision.
The impact of these rental increases may also be affecting the sale of mobile homes within the park. One review mentions "several nice homes for sale," with one listed for a year without any showings. The reviewer suggests that the high rents are deterring potential buyers. This situation could be relevant for individuals considering purchasing a mobile home within an RV resort setting for long-term living.
The overall sentiment expressed in the recent reviews suggests a decline in the "character or warmth" of the park compared to its previous iteration. One reviewer summarized this by stating, "This is nowhere near what a Resort would be. Should of just left like it was." This subjective feedback highlights a potential shift in the atmosphere and overall experience of staying at Jacksonville RV Resort.
Given these recent concerns, potential visitors searching within the "RV parks near me" category should exercise caution and conduct thorough due diligence before booking a stay at Jacksonville RV Resort. It is strongly recommended to contact the management directly at (541) 779-3615 or +1 541-779-3615 to inquire about the current status of amenities, the landscaping, rental rates, and any other factors that are important for their decision-making process. Asking for recent photos of the park could also provide a more current visual representation of the environment.
While Jacksonville itself offers a rich historical backdrop and natural surroundings, the recent reviews suggest that the RV resort may not currently live up to the expectations of a "resort" experience. Potential guests should weigh the convenience of the location against the reported issues with amenities, environmental changes, and rental costs. Exploring other options within the "RV parks near me" category in the Jacksonville area might be beneficial to ensure a comfortable and satisfactory stay.
In conclusion, Jacksonville RV Resort in Jacksonville, Oregon, is located in a desirable area with access to local history and nature. However, recent customer reviews raise significant concerns regarding closed amenities, the removal of trees, and increased rental rates. Individuals considering a stay or long-term residency at this park should contact the management directly to obtain current information and assess whether it meets their needs and expectations. It is advisable to consider these recent experiences when comparing Jacksonville RV Resort with other "RV parks near me."

Jacksonville RV Resort Reviews
Used to love this place back when it was the Covered Wagon. Stayed in my tent back when it was allowed, not anymore. The facilities have been closed since the new owners took over under the guide of remodeling... washer and dryer are locked for repairs...it's been almost a year. They cut down so many beautiful trees until city told them to stop and were only allowed to prune and remove old branches. This is nowhere near what a Resort would be. Should of just left like it was. Jacksonville is not some rich seeking place. People come here for the history and nature. This place has no character or warmth to it anymore. So sad.
Nov 05, 2023 · C HThey are cutting down all the beautiful trees that make the park enchanting. Rents are inflated. People don't realize most who live in an RV are retired seniors that live on social security. They can't barely afford 500 per month. The person I know there may have to move soon due to the exorbitant rental increases. I live in a mobile park and space rents went up almost 100 dollars. As a senior on a fixed income this is very difficult. This park has several nice homes for sale , the one across the street for me has been listed for a year and I have not seen one showing of it. The mgr says no one will buy them because the rents are so high. If the rents go up any higher, many of us will be living on the street.
