JB's RV Park & Campground Introduce
For those searching for "RV parks near me" along the Washington coast, JB's RV Park & Campground, located at 512 Damon Rd, Hoquiam, WA 98550, USA, presents a conveniently situated and budget-conscious option. Based on customer reviews, this campground offers a unique blend of accessibility to the beach and essential amenities, making it a potential choice for both RVers and tent campers seeking a coastal experience.
One recurring positive aspect highlighted by visitors is the park's prime location. Situated just half a block from the beach, JB's RV Park & Campground allows for easy access to the sandy shores and the recreational opportunities the ocean provides. One reviewer enthusiastically mentioned it as their "Favorite spot #39," emphasizing its appeal. Another visitor who makes an annual trip for the 4th of July appreciates its "nice centralized position for camping," indicating its suitability as a base for exploring the surrounding area.
In terms of amenities, the park offers essential hookups for RVs, including fresh water, electric, and a dump station. This ensures that RV travelers have the necessary utilities for a comfortable stay. Additionally, the availability of tenting sites caters to a broader range of camping preferences. The park also provides practical facilities such as a dumpster for waste disposal, contributing to the cleanliness of the campground.
One notable point regarding the facilities is the status of the restrooms and showers. As of April 25th according to one review, the hot showers were temporarily locked, although the reviewer noted they are "usually open." Importantly, the same review mentioned that there was "No toilet on the property for campers that I see." This lack of on-site toilet facilities for tent campers is a significant consideration for those planning a stay without a self-contained RV. However, the reviewer also noted that "9 months ago all bath and showers were open," suggesting that the availability of these facilities might fluctuate.
The environment of JB's RV Park & Campground seems to offer a natural and sometimes rustic experience. One reviewer mentioned encountering wildlife such as "deer to your camper door, raccoon, black grass snakes (harmless)," which can be appealing to nature enthusiasts. The presence of "picnic tables fore stones" suggests a basic outdoor setup for campers to enjoy meals and gatherings. While there is "no play ground," the reviewer points out that the surrounding area offers numerous amenities, including "Ocean fishing, horse riding, bike and scooter rentals in town," indicating that recreational opportunities are readily accessible outside the campground itself.
The atmosphere of the park appears to be governed by clear and firm rules. The reviewer noted, "The property has firm rules of no BS no chances! They want this property ‘family friendly’." This emphasis on maintaining a family-friendly environment suggests that the management prioritizes a respectful and orderly atmosphere for all guests.
Price is also a notable feature mentioned in the reviews. At "$25 a night," it is described as "cheaper than 60-80 per other properties that are not next to beach," highlighting its affordability, especially considering its proximity to the coast. This makes JB's RV Park & Campground an attractive option for budget-conscious travelers looking for "RV parks near me" without sacrificing beach access.
While the majority of the feedback is positive regarding the location and value, one reviewer shared a less favorable experience with the staff, stating, "I feel like the staff looks down on us for from the city and Ruby, the lady in the office talks with an odd tone." This suggests a potential issue with customer service for some visitors, which is something prospective guests may want to consider.
Another factor to be aware of is the potential for flooding, as mentioned in one review: "Flooding going on now so you have to choose your spot wisely." This indicates that the campground might be susceptible to water issues during certain times of the year, and campers should be mindful of this when selecting their site.
Despite some of the mentioned drawbacks, the overall sentiment from the reviews suggests that many visitors have positive experiences at JB's RV Park & Campground. One reviewer succinctly stated, "You make the experience the way you make it. Having a RV makes the experience good, too! Bill is awesome." This implies that with the right expectations and preparation, particularly for those tent camping regarding the toilet facilities, JB's can be a rewarding place to stay.

JB's RV Park & Campground Reviews
Me and my boys come up here every 4th of July to set up here and camp, we love it here, a nice centralized position for camping, just great times, the only thing I might say is negative, is I feel like the staff looks down on us for from the city and Ruby, the lady in the office talks with an odd tone, but besides that, great place.
Apr 02, 2025 · Just Call Me TimFavorite spot #39. #1 Don’t judge the property by its cover! Quiet, close to beach 1/2 block, hot showers locked right now 4/25 usually open! No toilet on the property for campers that I see. 9months ago all bath and showers were open. Tenting available. Flooding going on now so you have to choose your spot wisely. The people are nice. 25 a night cheaper than 60-80 per other properties that are not next to beach. You make the experience the way you make it. Having a RV makes the experience good, too! Bill is awesome. The property has firm rules of no BS no chances! They want this property “family friendly” picnic tables fore stones but no play ground. Who needs it? You have amenities around you. Ocean fishing, horse riding, bike and scooter rentals in town! Lots of space for RV, campers on trucks. They have fresh water, electric and dump. No hidden fees! They have a dumpster. Things you see: deer to your camper door, raccoon, black grass snakes(harmless) kids enjoy the nature. They always have a food truck too.
Apr 08, 2025 · Catherine BrannonVery Peaceful! Couple of blocks from the Ocean too.
May 08, 2025 · Theresa Tee SteinGreat location but the restrooms are disgustingly awful and barely work also the “owner” ( man with yellow jeep) is a huge jerk we had just showed back up to the camp site after driving threw town as we are trying to get many kids and two dogs and all other 15 people out and ready he came up yelled to leash our dogs and we did immediately just to have him, sit there and stare us down for the next five minutes when we asked him to please continue on. He’s tried to start a fight raving that he was the owner and as we left, he tried to start a fight with the entire caravan, each car that drove by he yelled at.would not recommend ever going there
Aug 04, 2024 · Ashlynn LockmanVery dirty camp site! Garbage and small pieces of garbage everywhere! Bottle tops, glass, small pieces of paper and left over food! Gross! Had to pick up lots just to enjoy being outside. Also so our dogs did not eat garbage or step on glass! The area was a mess! Uneven, big huge dips, ground was very destroyed and needed to be re-leveled and all huge holes filled in! Had a very difficult time parking our motorhome so it could be a little level. Picnic table was unstable and a person could easily tip over and fall trying to use it.A terrible smell was in the air from like the septic at night!!Did enjoy the easy walk down to the beach which is why we came!Campground needs a total overhaul!!! I won’t even mention the filthy, awful bathrooms that are not fit for people to use!!!! So sad! Could be a beautiful place if taken care of…..
