Based on glowing reviews from recent visitors, this RV park offers a blend of natural beauty, convenient amenities, and a welcoming atmosphere for both humans and their furry companions.
One particularly enthusiastic review comes from Ellie, a spirited Pitbull who recounts her "epic adventure" at Copalis River RV Park. Ellie's perspective highlights the park's dog-friendly nature, a significant draw for pet owners seeking a comfortable and accommodating place to stay. Upon arrival, Ellie noted the pleasant environment, characterized by the scent of pine trees and the soothing sound of the nearby Copalis River. The park staff are described as "so friendly," even offering a special treat for canine guests, setting a positive tone for a welcoming experience for all members of the family.
A major highlight of staying at Copalis River RV Park is its proximity to the stunning beaches of the Washington coast. Just a short drive away, visitors can enjoy vast, sandy shores perfect for a variety of activities. Ellie enthusiastically describes running freely, playing fetch, chasing seagulls, and splashing in the waves. These beach excursions provide opportunities for recreation, relaxation, and enjoying the natural beauty of the Pacific coastline. The breathtaking sunsets over the water are also a cherished experience, creating magical evenings for both people and their pets.
The RV park itself is praised for its comfort and convenience. The campsites are described as "spacious," providing ample room for parking RVs and allowing pets to stretch and explore. This spaciousness ensures a comfortable setup and prevents a cramped feeling often found in less generously sized parks. The availability of clean and well-maintained restrooms and showers further enhances the comfort of the stay, addressing essential needs for all campers.
The gentle sound of the Copalis River flowing nearby is mentioned as a particularly pleasant aspect of the park's environment, creating a peaceful backdrop for evenings spent outdoors. Guests can relax and enjoy the tranquility of nature right at their campsite. This serene atmosphere contributes to the overall appeal of Copalis River RV Park as a relaxing getaway destination.
Another reviewer echoes the positive sentiments, describing the staff as "friendly and accommodating." This reinforces the impression of a welcoming and helpful management team dedicated to ensuring a pleasant stay for their guests. The park's landscaping and grounds are also lauded as "beautifully landscaped," suggesting an aesthetically pleasing environment that enhances the overall camping experience.
Practical amenities at Copalis River RV Park include an on-site laundry facility located in a "very cool rustic barn," adding a touch of charm to this essential service. The pricing is also mentioned as "reasonably priced," making it an attractive option for budget-conscious travelers seeking quality and value along the coast.
While the overall experience at Copalis River RV Park is overwhelmingly positive, one minor drawback mentioned is the potential for poor Wi-Fi and phone service. However, the reviewer astutely points out the silver lining of this limitation, as it provided an opportunity to disconnect from technology and fully embrace the outdoor surroundings. This encourages a more immersive and nature-focused experience, allowing guests to truly relax and enjoy the beauty of the area.
The location of Copalis River RV Park also offers opportunities for exploration beyond the immediate vicinity. The reviewers mention taking day trips to Forks, Washington, famous for its connection to the "Twilight" series and its access to the Olympic National Park, and to Astoria, Oregon, a historic town at the mouth of the Columbia River with maritime history and scenic views. This suggests that the RV park serves as a convenient base for exploring the wider coastal region and its diverse attractions.
In summary, Copalis River RV Park appears to be an exceptional choice for those searching for "RV parks near me" in the Copalis Beach area. Its dog-friendly policies, spacious sites, proximity to stunning beaches, peaceful riverside environment, friendly and accommodating staff, beautifully landscaped grounds, and reasonable pricing make it a highly desirable destination. While internet and phone service may be limited, this can be seen as an opportunity to disconnect and fully enjoy the natural beauty and tranquility of the Washington coast. Copalis River RV Park Reviews
Ellie’s Epic Adventure at Copalis River RV ParkHi there! My name is Ellie, and I’m a spirited Pitbull with a love for adventure. Let me tell you about the most amazing trip I had with my human at the Copalis River RV Park. It was a journey filled with exciting places, new experiences, and unforgettable sunsets.Arrival and First ImpressionsAs soon as we arrived at the Copalis River RV Park, I knew this place was special. The air was filled with the scent of pine trees and the gentle sound of the river flowing nearby. My human parked our RV in one of the spacious spots, which gave me plenty of room to stretch my legs and explore. The park staff were so friendly, and they even had a special treat for me!Beach Days and SunsetsOne of the best parts of our stay was the nearby beaches. Just a short drive away, my human and I found ourselves on vast, sandy shores. I ran as fast as I could, feeling the wind in my fur and the sand between my paws. We played fetch, chased seagulls, and even splashed in the waves. Each day ended with a breathtaking sunset. We would sit by the water, watching the sky turn into a masterpiece of oranges, pinks, and purples. It was a magical time that I looked forward to every evening.Comfort and ConvenienceThe RV park itself was perfect. The lots were spacious, giving my human plenty of room to park our RV and set up camp. The restrooms and showers were clean and well-maintained, which made our stay even more comfortable. The gentle sound of the Copalis River flowing nearby was the perfect backdrop to our evenings. My human and I would sit outside, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere and planning our next day’s adventures. An Unforgettable JourneyOur time at Copalis River RV Park was truly epic. The combination of dog-friendly amenities, stunning natural surroundings, and the ease of parking made it a perfect getaway for both me and my human. We created so many wonderful memories, from the dog spa to the beach adventures and the beautiful sunsets. I can’t wait to return and make even more memories at this fantastic RV park.Have you ever taken your dog on an RV adventure? I’d love to hear about your experiences! 🐾
Aug 31, 2024 · Brandon RiffeFriendly and accommodating staff. Beautifully landscaped sites and grounds. Reasonably priced. On site laundry in very cool rustic barn. Only negative thing is our wifi and phone service were terrible but on the bright side gave us a chance be outside. We drove to Forks, Washington one day, then Astoria, Oregon the next! We really enjoyed our stay!
Aug 19, 2024 · Nan CookThis RV park is absolutely whimsical, beautiful, and fun.It currently has four walking trails two of which take you right down to the copalis river, one that leads to a giant rope swing then loops around to the largest trail. You can tell how much the owners care about each person's stay by the attention to those fine details such as the high-tech dog wash, excellent bathhouse, the flowers, the bird feeders, and houses throughout. The camp hosts are all wonderful you can tell they want each person to enjoy their stay and go above and beyond.
May 08, 2023 · Candace MillerWe have been coming here every year for the last 5 years. It's my favorite park. Nice people. Clean and fun whimsical landscape. Great place to just relax, enjoy beautiful sunsets on the river or fishing on it. Not far from beaches and shopping in ocean Shores. Thanks Charlie for building this place into a terrific park and Sandy is so nice in that office . We will keep on coming back
Oct 11, 2022 · Earlyne MorrisHIGHLY recommend staying here if you are in the area! We drove in and OUT of over 5 rv camping places near by and were SO thankful to have finally found. Copalis River RV park. Which I found under the name driftwood rv park.Spots that back up to Copails river, sites that back up to gorgeous trees area. And the tent sites are even more secluded, surrounded by trees. Tons of trails for walking/exploring. Fishing in the river right there.Bathrooms were SUPER clean updated tile/granite with soap and hand driers.Fancy dog wash station.Nice covered dishwashing, fish cleaning station. The whole park is clean, well kept, decorated with nature charm! Bird houses and beautiful plantings. Our neighbor we ended up next to builds birdhouses and stars! For a “donation” he shares his creations! We were over the moon excited about his craft he was sharing with the community. We look forward to painting and decorating them! THANK YOU birdhouse man.Robert who checked us in was super kind and helpful. We will absolutely stay here again and look forward to their continued improvements.Near beach, convenience store and main beach towns.
