Justin's Diamond J RV Park Introduce
For local users in Tucson, Arizona, searching for "RV parks near me," Justin's Diamond J RV Park, located at 3451 S San Joaquin Rd Site S4, Tucson, AZ 85735, USA, presents a mixed picture based on recent customer reviews. While some aspects of the park are praised, significant concerns have also been raised that potential guests should carefully consider.
One positive aspect highlighted by a travel nurse who stayed for three months is the spaciousness of the RV sites. The reviewer noted "lots of room between sites," which can contribute to a more comfortable and less crowded experience compared to some other RV parks. Additionally, the availability of "plenty of clean washers and dryers" is a practical amenity appreciated by longer-term guests. The park's location also offers "easy accessibility to hiking in the Sonoran desert," making it an appealing choice for outdoor enthusiasts looking to explore the natural beauty of the area. Furthermore, the reviewer found the park to be quiet, which can be a significant advantage for those seeking a peaceful environment.
However, a deeply concerning review details a significant incident involving the alleged theft of an RV that was stored at the park. According to the reviewer, an older couple made arrangements with the owners to store their RV, containing all of their belongings, while they were away on a trip. Upon their return, the RV was reportedly gone. The reviewer further states that the park owners allegedly denied having a reservation, denied knowing the couple, and offered no support. This serious accusation raises significant questions about the security and management practices of the park, particularly concerning stored vehicles and the handling of guest arrangements. The reviewer's warning, "If it happened to this sweet couple, it can happen to you," should be taken seriously by anyone considering storing their RV or staying at this park.
Adding to the complexities of the park's reputation is an updated review from a guest who stayed for a second winter season. While they reiterated some of the positive aspects, such as "great accessibility to hiking, clean washers/dryers, and good room between sites," their overall experience was "less than great" due to issues with pricing and unexpected charges. The guest reported an expected online price of $798 per month, consistent with what they paid the previous year. However, upon arrival, they discovered a broken sewer hookup, which was promptly fixed by the owner, Nikki. A week later, the owner allegedly informed them that they owed an additional $60 per month due to their RV being over 34 feet in length. This additional charge was unexpected, especially since the guest had already paid for their three-month stay in advance. The reviewer expressed frustration, suggesting that this additional fee felt like an attempt to recoup the cost of the sewer hookup repair. This incident raises concerns about transparency in pricing and the potential for unexpected charges based on RV length after booking and payment.
Considering these reviews collectively, Justin's Diamond J RV Park offers some appealing features, including spacious sites, clean laundry facilities, and convenient access to hiking in the Sonoran Desert. The quiet environment can also be a significant draw for those seeking tranquility. However, the serious allegation of RV theft from storage and the subsequent lack of support from the owners, as well as the experience of unexpected additional charges based on RV length after prepayment, present significant red flags for potential guests.
Local users searching for "RV parks near me" must weigh the positive aspects against the serious negative experiences reported by other guests. The alleged mishandling of the RV theft incident raises serious concerns about the security of stored vehicles and the park's responsibility towards its customers in such situations. The issue with unexpected charges based on RV length after a reservation and prepayment indicates potential problems with transparent pricing and customer service regarding billing.
Given these conflicting reports, it is strongly recommended that anyone considering a stay at Justin's Diamond J RV Park contact the management directly using the provided phone numbers: (520) 883-6706 or +1 520-883-6706. Potential guests should inquire specifically about:
- Security measures in place for both occupied and stored RVs.
- The park's policies and procedures regarding RV storage, including liability in case of theft or damage.
- A detailed breakdown of all fees, including any potential surcharges based on RV length or other factors, and ensure these are clearly communicated and agreed upon in writing before booking.
- The park's cancellation and refund policies.
- The specific amenities offered (beyond laundry and site size).
No promotional information is available in the provided reviews. Any potential discounts for longer stays or other special offers would need to be discussed directly with the park management.
In conclusion, Justin's Diamond J RV Park offers some attractive features such as spacious sites and access to nature. However, the serious allegations of mishandled RV theft and the experience of unexpected charges raise significant concerns about security, transparency, and customer service. Local users searching for "RV parks near me" should proceed with caution, conduct thorough due diligence, and seek clear and comprehensive information from the park management before making a reservation or choosing to store their RV at this location. The contrasting experiences reported by different guests highlight the importance of obtaining detailed and up-to-date information directly from the park to make an informed decision.

Justin's Diamond J RV Park Reviews
Just learned of a sweet older couple whose RV was recently STOLEN from this park. They made arrangements with the owners to store their RV, that had ALL of their things inside, then went on a trip. They returned to find their RV GONE from its space. The Park owners denied that they had a reservation, they denied knowing them, and they did not support them at all. Fortunately, this couple had enough information, photos, and insurance, along with other good people, who assisted them. If it happened to this sweet couple, it can happen to you.
Feb 15, 2025 · R WStayed here for 3 months as a travel nurse, although it is a bit of a drive into the local hospitals it was a fantastic RV park. There is lots of room between sites, people are nice, plenty of clean washers and dryers to use. Easy accessibility to hiking in the Sonoran desert and it stayed quiet. Would definitely stay here again!EDIT 4/20/2025: We stayed here for a second winter season and had a less than great experience, the price online that we expected was $798 which was what we paid last year. This year when we pulled in, the sewer hookup was broken and we spoke to the owner Nikki about this, she had someone come out and fix it same day (great!). Unfortunately a week after that she stated that all the sudden we owed $60 more per month because we were over 34ft. We had paid all 3 months we planned on staying in advance, but she called us multiple times regarding owing $60 extra/month because of our RV length. This was frustrating and it felt like they just wanted reimbursement for fixing the sewer hookup. Still had great accessibility to hiking, clean washers/dryers, and good room between sites.
Apr 24, 2025 · Bethany BartlettOur friends left their travel trailer there to be safe, while they were on a short trip. When they returned, their trailer was gone and the owners suddenly didn’t speak English and didn’t remember their trailer being there. It was an inside job. Beware of staying there.
Feb 16, 2025 · Rebecca WattsDon’t stay here if you’re under 60. The Vietnamese owners will charge you one rate and then demand more the next day. Super shady. Horrible experience. And such a shame because it’s a cute park. The neighbors said they do that sometimes so it’s known. Stay at your own risk.
Nov 18, 2024 · Shannon CI left a message from the highway in the afternoon, and did not hear back from anyone until the next day. Luckily I found a decent place for the week.Good to know that they are not the cheapest - as noted on their website. There are two very beautiful RV parks in Tucson for $35, or $33 Good Sam.
