Rincon Country West RV Resort Introduce
Welcome to Rincon Country West RV Resort, situated at 4555 S Mission Rd in Tucson, Arizona. For those searching within the category of 'RV parks near me' in the Tucson area, Rincon Country West RV Resort offers a range of amenities and a community atmosphere for both short-term visitors and long-term residents. Located on South Mission Road, the resort aims to provide a comfortable and engaging experience, although customer reviews highlight both positive and negative aspects to consider.
The environment at Rincon Country West RV Resort is described by some as appealing due to its weather and proximity to certain local attractions. One reviewer specifically mentions the pleasant weather and the convenience of being close to The Loop bike paths and adequately equipped fitness centers as major attractions. This suggests that the location offers opportunities for outdoor activities and maintaining an active lifestyle. The presence of multiple dog parks is also noted as a positive environmental feature for pet owners. Additionally, the Huckleberry Trail being just outside the back gate provides further access to outdoor recreation. However, another reviewer paints a less favorable picture of the surrounding area, describing it as a "bad area of town" and raising serious concerns about safety due to "lots of gunfire with bullets coming through roofs." This stark contrast in perceptions of the environment and safety of the location is a critical point for potential visitors and residents to consider.
The services and features at Rincon Country West RV Resort appear to be varied. The resort boasts "lots of activities" and a generally friendly community, suggesting a social and engaging environment for those who wish to participate. Amenities include rental bikes and golf carts, providing convenient ways to explore the resort and the nearby Huckleberry Trail. The presence of multiple dog parks caters to the needs of pet owners. However, there are also significant drawbacks mentioned in the reviews. One reviewer points out that the RV spaces are "very tight" and require parking assistance, which could be challenging for some RVers. Noise is also a concern, with traffic noise and constant plane noise due to its location in a flight path being noted. Furthermore, the laundry facilities seem to have issues, with the laundry app working intermittently and the change machines being "permanently out of order," making the use of quarters difficult and often requiring a wait in long lines at the office for change. These issues with basic amenities could detract from the overall experience.
The positive features of Rincon Country West RV Resort include its favorable weather, access to bike paths (The Loop), well-equipped fitness centers, numerous activities, a generally friendly community, rental options for bikes and golf carts, and multiple dog parks. These aspects could be particularly appealing to active individuals, pet owners, and those seeking a social environment with organized activities. However, the negative features are significant and should not be overlooked. The concerns about the safety of the surrounding area due to gunfire, the tight RV spaces requiring parking assistance, the presence of traffic and constant plane noise, and the unreliable laundry facilities with inaccessible change machines are serious drawbacks that could impact the comfort and convenience of residents and visitors. One specific reviewer also advises avoiding spots 103-106 due to a very loud mobile home situated just over the wall with an outdoor TV and sound system, which significantly affected their enjoyment of their patio.
The pricing of Rincon Country West RV Resort is described by one reviewer as "expensive." This suggests that the cost of staying or living at the resort might be higher compared to other options in the area. However, without specific pricing details or comparisons, it is difficult to assess the value proposition relative to the amenities and the reported negative aspects. The high cost, coupled with concerns about the area's safety and noise levels, as well as issues with basic amenities like laundry, raises questions about whether the overall experience justifies the expense. Potential residents and visitors would need to weigh the advertised amenities and activities against the reported drawbacks and determine if the cost aligns with their priorities and tolerance for these issues.

In conclusion, Rincon Country West RV Resort in Tucson, AZ, located on South Mission Road, offers a mix of appealing amenities such as proximity to bike paths and fitness centers, numerous activities, a friendly community, and facilities for pet owners. However, potential visitors and residents should be aware of significant concerns raised in customer reviews, including the perceived safety of the surrounding area with reports of gunfire, tight RV spaces, considerable noise from traffic and airplanes, and unreliable laundry facilities. Rincon Country West RV Resort Reviews
I’ve liked it here so much that after two winter months that I bought a park model. For me, the attraction is the weather, proximity to The Loop bike paths and some very adequately equipped fitness centers. As someone just over 55, I don’t vibe with most of the activities but that’s okay. I highly suggest avoiding spots 103-106, as there is a very loud mobile home just over the wall. It has greatly impacted my ability to enjoy my patio outside. The dude literally has his huge TV and sound system in a shed outside.
Mar 09, 2025 · Tanya AppuhnExpensive. Bad area of town. Lots of gunfire with bullets coming through roofs. RV spaces very tight without parking assistance. Traffic noise and it’s right in the flight path so constant plane noise. Laundry app works intermittently and the change machines permanently out of order so use of quarters is difficult as you can only get them from the office and there’s often long lines to get help. The upside: lots of activities and mostly friendly folks. There are rental bikes and golf carts with the Huckleberry Trail just outside the back gate. Multiple dog parks.
Jan 12, 2025 · Cindy ShephardVery nice park. Good for walking. Access to a nice trail system. Lots of amenities and activities. Our site was rather tight on the left. We were right up against someone's patio. Our active side was very spacious. Cable TV did not work at our site. Wifi was Tengo and limited to 2 devices.I'm not sure why they put us where they did. We were assigned to the pet section even though we don't have a pet. Neighbors kitty-corner were doing a full-scale renovation so there was constant drilling, sawing, hammering, etc. Additionally, they had a yappy dog that they would leave out on the porch. It would bark at everyone that went by and then the people would come out and yell at it to be quiet. I'm not sure which was more annoying - the barking or the yelling at the dog. Irresponsible as a pet owner and inconsiderate as a neighbor.
Jan 09, 2025 · Dennis WeilerWe booked here for a month left early because:- laundry consisted of broken machines that had signs saying they'd be repaired soon but never were- coin machine in laundry was not operable but the online app was also inoperable and the front office could care less. We opened up a case with tech support for the app and it functioned for 4 hours but never again. Asking to exchange dollars for quarters at the front office is like Oliver Twist asking for more. BUT if you have ever wondered what happened to Nurse Rachet-put your mind to rest she is alive and well at the Rincon front office.- internet was non-existent yet they happily charge you for it (fight it they eventually cave)-just greedy- events are advertised but are always full and staff seems to take a lot of joy in denying you admittance. We found if you are willing to drive to the event its cheaper than paying rincon. I can't even describe the debacle of the pancake breakfast and the two meanies taking money and doling out sausages. The mean-spiritedness and rudeness was so unnecessary.- somebody acquired a sign maker at some point and there are more signs about Dont Do This Don't Do That than you have ever seen and that attitude carries over to the staff who are a bunch of sour pickles in my opinion. If we had been issued orange jumpsuits on arrival we would have had a better understanding of the situation.- very tight spots - moving in or out usually requires moving your neighbors cars- unfriendly staff-just mean old people everywhere- right under a flight path for both the airport and the airbase so if war breaks out you'll be the first to know or maybe a bomb will drop and put this place out of its misery. The aircraft noise means you cant hear conversations music TV its like being a monk who took a vow of silence in a very noisy monasteryThere's much more but I think it suffices to say STAY ANY WHERE ELSE you will happy and will enjoy Tucson.
Jan 12, 2025 · Kathleen KingI have had the chance to be inside a few of the places here, and it is nice! There is definitely great service, and the residents are polite and active as well.
